Flashing from and to memories and reality, Jamie finds herself dazed and confused. Unable to recall what really happened, she remains in that condition. One day, she meets a girl named Morgan, who quickly becomes her best mate. No one seemed to notice what was happening to Jamie, not even her mom until Morgan spent more time with Jamie. Noticing her condition, she rapidly recommends Jamie to her aunt, a physician. Jamie, realizing their was nothing else to be done, decided to agree seeing the doctor.
Talking to Morgan's aunt seemed a tad bit strange at first but then Jamie began to open up. It was as if she'd known subconciously about these visions yet she didn't want to realize the truth. Fading from daydreams and visions that were made up had begun since she was nine. Nine, when she was kidnapped and incredibly frightened as a young girl. Unfortunately, the only thing that she'd felt protected her became a part of her life soonafter she was saved. Unable to take in the truth about it all, she lashed out at the physician. Sooner or later she began to know, she'd have to face it or she'd continue to hallucinate. The therapy really worked out well for her and she forever kept her saviour in her heart, Webb.(less)

Continuing on, Edward and Alphonse look desperately for the Philosopher's Stone, a blood stone said to be able to solve their..."problems." Considered "geniuses" for their ages, Edward joined as a "dog of the military" yet Alphonse couldn't, now that he'd been forced into a vintage armor owned by the father, Hohenheim, who'd left quite early.
Here though, in the second volume, the military finds trouble calming the civilians. Kidnappers cause the military trouble and civilians do not find militarymen trustworthy when a number of victims disappear. Colonel Mustang, militaryman who recruited Edward Elric, finds a connection in the crime. Edward soon finds himself having to work with Mustang who ticks him off like an explosive. Although Edward agreed to helping with the military issues in order to find hope, he seriously disliked the Colonel. Yet in the end, everything worked out fine between the military and civilians.(less)

In the story, the totalitarian dictator is Napolean, a pig, who represents Stalin. The farm owners represent the czar and czarina who ruled Russia before the revolt. All in all, the majority of the people who made up the Russian society were depicted as animals in Orwell's tale.
Exactly as history presented, the farmer(czar) and his family were overthrown by the animals(Russian citizens). Soonafter, the animals began to make plans of their own but their two leaders, Napolean and Snowball(Stalin and Trotsky) found one another in conflict. The farm(society) being unable to hold two leaders, Napolean(Stalin) chased out Snowball(Trotsky) from the farm(country).
Napolean developed plans and had everything done his way just as Stalin did. He had the animals begin constructing a windmill, as Stalin forced the people to work into his Five-Year Plan. The dogs acted as secret police and learned to take his orders. Likewise in Russia, the children would speak about their parents defying Stalin's order.(less)
