If you're a fan of the book you already knew that the 5th book is not a continuation of the 4th book, but still the continuation of the 3rd book A Storm of Swords. The 4th and the 5th book were actually just one book and the reason for dividing it to two books is that if the author decided to just make it one book it will be composed of 2, 000 pages which probably the reader wouldn't like because that would really look like an encyclopedia rather than a book. And maybe if you have been my goodreads friend you have probably noticed that I'm a big fan of the book series . Actually I started reading it because I saw my father watching the TV adaptation and I'm also a big fan of the TV adaptation on HBO. So you probably wonder why I gave it a low rating, but sadly I can only discuss my reasons through spoiling things or events that happen inside the book that I really don't like. So if you're okay with reading spoilers or you already read the book you are free to continue reading this review. SPOILER ALERT!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! SPOILERS EVERYWHERE!!! Okay...So I guess if you truly have read the book you knew that George R.R. Martin killed Jon Snow in the book. I know that George R.R. Martin really kills major characters if he thinks it is truly necessary like Ned Stark, Rob Stark, Khal Drogo, Maester Aemon, etc. In fact, at first I kind of like that he kills characters because it truly shows that he's not afraid to take risks and it makes the story more believable and thrilling. However, I can't accept that he killed Jon Snow because he is one of my favorite characters and it is not easy for me to just shrug it off because I thought that Jon Snow is one of those characters that will live through the end. A lot of the fans speculated that he is not dead and he will survive, but I think that is impossible because he obviously got mortal wounds. Some even speculated that he can be undead like Catelyn because Melissandre can probably do some sort of magic to revive him. However, undead means like he will be more like a zombie and I don't want Jon Snow to be a zombie for God's sake. Maybe this will all be cleared in the 6th book whether Jon Snow is dead, alive or will become undead. However, knowing George R.R. Martin the possibility that he's dead is bigger and you know probably he's really dead and the fans like me just can't accept it. Like his father Ned and brother Robb. Dead and gone forever. Secondly, I also dislike reading Cersei's walk of shame. In which to atone her sins she needed to walk naked, barefoot and shaved. Like they shaved her head and all of her body hairs like pubic hair, the hair on her legs, underarms, etc. Then, she was walking and all of these people (men, women, children) just look at her and shouting nasty words like they told her that her breasts are sagging and her body is ugly because it has stretchmarks and stuff like that. Also, they throw things at her, etc. Being a girl reading it feels like it was too cruel and even if I am not a fan of Cersei because she's a bitch and it's just I really don't like her. I can't really feel like it was appropriate to do that to Cersei. I really find it too cruel and misogynistic. Third, I find the story very dragging and I know the author was really trying hard to get all of these subplots and major plots in this book. For me, it became really confusing and there are just a lot of characters and story arcs. Again, this is not the continuation of the 4th book. So the 4th book and the 5th book have the same timeline it just that, the difference is the setting and the characters. One story arc from the 4th book was continued in the 5th book and this is the Cersei Arc. Since in the 4th book Cersei was captured and in the 5th book the story continues for the atonement of her sins. So I just really find it confusing I know that the TV editors and producers will be having a lot of hard time arranging the arcs for the TV adaptation. So that's it...2 stars and I really feel happy that I read this monstrous book series and now two more books to go. The 6th will probably release after five years so good luck to my memory. I wish I can still be a fan of this book series and finish it in the future. However, I probably will not re-read the books, but I will still continue to watch the next seasons of the TV adaptation.(less) | Notes are private!

It is known that I love love love George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and also the TV Series Games of Thrones. And I'm reading the books non-stop from book 1 up to the latest one A Dance with the Dragons. And I already gave 5 stars for book 1, 2 and 3 and I absolutely love A Storm of Swords... ![]() Lol. But, why oh why only 3 stars for the fourth book? So if you happen to notice the fourth book of the series got a lot of negative reviews and a lot of the fans dislike it. And in my perspective you really can't blame the fans because the third book A Storm of Swords is a very INTENSE book and you're feeling like a whirlpool of emotions and there's a lot of cliffhangers and questions that are left unanswered. Unfortunately George Martin is a slow writer and writing for the fourth book took him 5 years. So for those early fans of the book series they really wait for many many moons and to read the fourth book that is actually not the entire fourth book because the stories became too large that the author needed to cut the next story line to two parts geographically. Meaning in the fourth book you'll only read the continuation of the story that is happening in King's Landing, Eyrie, Harrenhal, Riverrun, Iron Islands, Dorne and Braavos. This means that what you'll going to read are the POVs from Cersei, Jaime, Brienne, Samwell, Arya, Sansa, Asha Greyjoy, from a Dornish princess named Arianne, Victarion, etc. (sorry if I missed out other characters). If you're interested what will going to happen to Jon Snow and the Wall, Tyrion, Daenyrys, Bran, etc. you're not going to find them out yet because that will be on A Dance with the Dragons. Which actually makes IMO the book confusing. Because first of all A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons is not divided chronologically but geographically so it was really the same timeline but different settings and POV. It's really confusing. I think the TV series can actually remedy this one they should put these 2 books in 1 season because it will be messy if you're like repeating the time line for season 4 and 5. It will just not work. And despite all my whining I think I'm still lucky because book 1 to 5 are available and I just need to suffer waiting for book 6 and 7, which might take George Martin a decade to write. These are the pros and cons of reading A Feast for Crows (w/ SPOILERS): Pros: 1. There are IMO a lot of interesting chapters that outweigh the boring chapters. I enjoys Jaime's, Sansa's, and Cersei's. Arya's, Brienne's, Samwell's and Arianne's can be boring but can also be good at times. I really don't enjoy Asha's and Victarion's because I don't really give a damn about the politics in the Iron Islands. 2. There are these character developments that I really love. >Jaime -It's hard to explain but Jaime has come a long way. He is a very different character from book 1. In book 1 I just have this perception that Jaime is evil.He pushed Bran out of the tower and make him a cripple. He killed the King that he sworn to protect. He fucks his twin sister. Overall Jaime Lannister is the villain of the story and there is this feeling that you're rooting for Robb to kill Jaime. But as the story progresses he CHANGE. He became a cripple and he lost his right hand which now makes it difficult for him to fight. He has this interesting relationship with Brienne and he's staying away from Cersei. I just feel that he became more of a good guy. I think what makes the story complicated is that it started out I love the Starks and I hate the Lannisters and I wanted the Starks to win and kill the Lannisters. But then I still love the Starks but I also came to love the Lannisters. Now Idk what side I'm rooting for. >Sansa -I really love reading her chapters and I know a lot of people hate Sansa including my sister. But from the start I really don't hate this character. From book 1 up to book 4 she has grow a lot. And I think from the Starks she has a greater chance for revenge... Eddard- dead Robb- dead Catelyn- undead Sansa- she's now on Eyrie disguising as Alayne...learning to become a player of Games of Thrones with the help of Littlefinger...planning to marry the heir of the Eyrie Arya- in the Braavos Bran- looking for Coldhands Rickon- idk what's going on with him, he's still alive Jon- became the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch It was also interesting that I have read from Sansa's POV what she really feels about Jon Snow because I think Jon has a different perspective and I have read that from book 1 from Jon's chapter that Sansa don't like Jon Snow because he's a bastard but actually it was really different when I've read it from Sansa's. I think Jon misunderstood Sansa. She also has weird relationships with the guys from this book series. First with Joeffrey and then with the Hound and then with Tyrion and then Robert and now Littlefinger. I just think George Martin really played with Sansa and the boys of the series. It is given that she is beautiful and to think that a lot of guys are attracted to her and it was just really weird for me. It's like there's a lot of possible combinations but they're quite unacceptable and nothing seems to fit Sansa normally. Cons: 1. I think the problem with the book is that it just feels incomplete without the other chapters from other characters like Jon Snow, Tyrion and Daenyrys. It really fails because after reading book 3 you just wanted to know what's going to happen with this three and it just feels something's important is missing. 2. To tell you the truth, I cheated and I skimmed 3 chapters (from the Greyjoys and Brienne) because I can't really push myself to give a shit and read boring chapters. Sometimes the purple prose is just really bad and I just skip them and I know there is a TV series coming so I'm not really that anxious to miss anything boring. 3. I just really feel bad about the ending because Winter has come and there snows falling in Riverrun and Eyrie and then...because uhhhm I'm currently reading Dance with Dragons right now and it's like I was brought up by George Martin to this situation in the end of the fourth book in which Winter has finally come and I'm totally excited and then it feels like he's using a time travel machine wherein I will go back from the beginning of the Feast of Crows but from Jon, Tyrion and etc.'s POV. It was just freaking annoying. 4. I want more deaths and war, and compared to book 3, book 4 is more of a bridge and a buildup for what's to come. (less) | Notes are private!

Compared to the other Kowalski books this book is not that enjoyable. There are times that my head aches because of too much drama. The girl became pregnant because of a condom malfunction and then after that one night stand they have to help each other out for the baby. I think the story is predictable and a way dramatic at times.(less)

Yay! Finally, I finished this monstrous book. Seriously reading it feels like it was even longer than the HBO series which has ten episodes. Anyway I really like this book and I think presently I am very obsessed with it. I am even considering to have it as my top 1 favorite book of all time and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins needs to step down and give that spot to Game of Thrones. However, I think I just need to finish reading the other books to make it more fair to the other books that I have read. I just need to invest more in these books and then I will decide if it's really my favorite book of all time. So yeah what can I say, but YOU HAVE TO READ IT! YOU REALLY HAVE TO READ IT! (Yes I love to be redundant) I have read a lot of books, more than 200 and seriously this book feels like it was the best I have read in all my life (I know I sounded cheesy). Seriously read it folks. Spoiler Alert ***If you're not interested with me talking about nonsense things just scroll down and my book review is down there somewhere. Why did I read this book? So I came upon Game of Thrones because of my father who was watching something in his laptop (at first I thought it was a movie) and this is the scene that I have seen at that time... ![]() So the scene was like this beautiful, naked woman surrounded by baby dragons and I was just curious about it (I mean who wouldn't be curious?). Then I just asked him... Me: What are you watching? Dad: I'm watching Game of Thrones At that time I am not really sure, but I know that there is a book called Game of Thrones and it was written by someone whose name is Martin because I've seen a couple of book reviews by some of my friends here in goodreads. Me: Game of Thrones. Is that movie came from the book Game of Thrones? Dad: I don't have any idea of it being a book. Really? Is it a book too? It is not a movie, but a TV series btw. I was watching it because it is about political dynamics blah blah blah...fantasy blah blah blah...dragons blah blah blah... So after that I just really got curious and I asked first in a forum here in goodreads if Game of Thrones the book has a TV series. And they said yes it has a TV series on HBO. And I don't know I just really like that scene with the baby dragons Book Review with ***MAJOR SPOILERS*** (both from the book and the TV series) So I read the book and I was very disappointed with the prologue because: 1. The writing style is PURPLE PROSE. Ugh. 2. I don't really know what the hell is happening and it's just...I don't know what the hell am I reading and then I decided to read it another time and read other books. So I give up the first time and second time reading it I got past the damn prologue. And I still can't get into the story because: 1. Multiple POVs 2. There's like so many like really a lot of characters and I still don't know what the hell the story is all about. But then after a few chapters (like maybe about 10% of the book) I get used to it even with the purple prose. And then I am not confused with the characters anymore and somehow I begin to understand what's the story is about. So it's started with the Stark family in Winterfell (let's just get this somehow organized) House of Stark Location: Winterfell Sigil: Direwolf Words: Winter is coming Lord Eddard Stark: Lord of Winterfell, will become hand of the king, will be beheaded somewhere in the story ***I love his character and actually I've kind of known that he will be beheaded in the end because of a youtube Hitler video I accidentally watched here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kLSYT... I am used with my favorite characters dying in books that I read but it still shocked me that the author killed the main character in the first book of the series. I've heard that the author is somehow crazy and he wants to write a book about good guys dying and evil reigns in the end. I think the author just want to be different from the norm. I don't know I am very disappointed that he died because it's very disheartening and depressing and I actually love him both in the book and in the TV Series. Catelyn Tully Stark: Lady Stark, wife of Eddard Stark ***I also like this character. She's not perfect and she still has flaws like she is very kind to her husband her children, but she's like an evil stepmother to Jon Snow. Robb- eldest son, has a direwolf named Grey Wind (not really sure about the direwolf's name) ***I also love this character. I think he really progresses a lot from this book alone. From being a boy to a commander to a King (King in the North as they say) Sansa- girly, betrothed to Prince Joeffrey of House of Lanister-Barratheon, has a direwolf named Lady ***My sister and our maid are my companies in watching the HBO TV series when I bought the DVD. My sister actually hates Sansa and she thinks that this character is stupid, but I actually don't hate Sansa. I somehow like her character. She's very innocent and somehow very idealistic. I just like her and it's really sad when her direwolf Lady was killed because of the Queen. I don't know I'm very scared of what will happen to her now that she's with the Lannisters in the end. Arya- tomboy, has a direwolf named Nymeria ***I like Arya more than Sansa. She's more of a tomboy and she liked sword fighting and she's also a very sweet girl. I like the earlier parts when she is together with her brother Jon Snow. Bran- loves climbing, will be crippled somewhere in the story, has a direwolf named Summer ***I actually like Bran he's a free spirit and he likes climbing. I don't know, but I'm also afraid for this character because he became crippled. I just don't want him to be hurt or killed. Rickon- youngest son, has a direwolf named Shaggydog ***For most of the time Rickon doesn't appear so much in the story. So I don't really feel anything about him. Jon Snow- bastard of Eddard Stark, real mother unknown, has a direwolf named Ghost, will join the Night's Watch somewhere in the story ***I also really like this character. He has the most interesting story. He's a bastard. He doesn't know who is her mother. And I just like him and Ghost. I also like the conversations between him and Tyrion in the earlier parts of the book. House of Barratheon-Lannister (Royal Family) Location: King's Landing Sigil: Barratheon- Stag, Lannister: Lion Words: Barratheon- Ours is the Fury, Lannister: Hear Me Roar King Robert Barratheon- will be killed by a boar somewhere in the story ***He actually reminds me of Pres. Erap Estrada (you will know what I'm talking about if you're a Filipino). He's not really a good leader like he just wants to drink and to have sex with whores and he's very corrupt, but in spite of all that he's very charismatic and influential. He's actually very funny too. Queen Cersei Lannister Barratheon- Queen of the seven kingdoms, has a secret affair with her brother Jamie Lannister ***I actually like Cersei. She's very cunning and bitchy. She's also has this side of her that I felt very sympathetic and I kind of get where she's coming from and why she did all of these things. She's a very complex character. Prince Joeffrey- in truth he's Jamie Lannister's bastard ***I really dislike him from the very beginning. I think the author really made this character very unlikable. I don't care if he will be killed in the next books. House of Lannister Location: Casterly Rock Sigil: Lion Words: Hear Me Roar Lord Tywin- was hand of the King to Aerys Targaryen, rich man ***I don't hate this guy. He's pretty okay for me. Jamie Lannister- Kingslayer, killed the King he sworn to protect ***even if he's a villain, I don't really hate him and I like that he cares for Tyrion and Cersei. I think he's actually a good guy. Tyrion Lannister- dwarf, youngest son ***I think this guy has the quotable lines in the book. I really like this character in spite him being a dwarf. He is very good with words and using his brain. Very interesting character. House of Targaryen Location: Vas Dothrak (I forgot exactly the complete name) Sigil: Dragon Words: Fire and Blood (something like that) Viserys- got killed somewhere in the story ***pompous, another unlikable character Daenyrys- she's the one in the first picture, the one with the baby dragons ***her journey is actually amazing. It's like at first she was not sure and then her character became stronger and then she faces these terrible trials and her husband and son died, but in the end she got baby dragons. So what the hell right, she got dragons. You know what I'm the type of reader that even though I know that they are fictional characters I still take it personally that the characters died. And I'm a Filipina and they say that we like happy endings and we like the main character to triumph in the end. However, because the author was really cruel and brutal and heartless killing off characters like he doesn't really care. I don't know it's just really irritating. But what the hell right I still like the story and the characters and I'll be prepared and I know a lot of them will be killed. I'll just cry when that happen. So I make a list of my favorite characters that I do not want to get killed: 1. Jon Snow 2. Daenyrys 3. Tyrion 4. Arya 5. Bran 6. Robb 7. Jamie Maybe I can handle three or four deaths from these character list that I made, but if all of them died, I swear by the seven Gods I will stop reading. In terms of comparing the book to the TV series I like the TV series better because the book is written very purple, verbose and overly detailed (yes I indeed love to be redundant). The TV series is more polished and edited and the book is too damn long. Read the books if you can't wait for the next season that will come out next year. (less) | Notes are private!

At first I was like WTF did I put myself into. And then somehow I liked it and then I hated it again. And then the ending was Meh and I can't believe I just finish the whole thing. I'm giving it three stars because of the Shakespeare reference. More on it later. The more on it later part Part I: How on earth did this book arrived at my doorstep? Actually I never really thought that I will be able to read this book which was recommended by these three people in Goodreads(Iyah, Kwesi and Rollie) since 1.) It's not available on 4shared.com and 2.) It's not available in any bookstores here where I live. However, just weeks ago some guy here in Goodreads (come on, you know who you are) asked me if I'm interested in a bookswap and he offered this book. I can't remember if I'm the one who asked for it or he was the one who recommended it since I think he believed I'm a sex addict. o_O? (Lol, I'm just kidding) So yeah we agreed on a bookswap and my book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson arrived first on his house and he texted me if I received the copy which at the moment I haven't received yet and I'm thinking at that point maybe the book was swallowed by the ocean, you know some kind of force majeure. But no, the next day it did arrive at my doorstep. Part II: Book Review I never really planned to read it immediately because I'm currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. However that book bored me to sleepiness and I finally decide to read another book. So I read the first pages and I was surprised because there's an immediate sex scene and this is between a fourteen year old girl and her English Teacher. And the one that really disgusted me is the way the teacher kind of moaned...which is like a Buddhist mantra? (just click the spoiler tag) (view spoiler)[Sarahohsarahohsarahohsarahohsarahohsarahohsarahohsarahoh. (hide spoiler)] And I was like what the f*ck is this book? I mean the first chapter was already creepy and crazy. Just. What. The-- However what I found somewhat amazing in this book is that it managed to mix poetry and literature to the erotica/ sex part of the book, for example (view spoiler)[She had assumed all obstacles would be overcome, that love was an ever fixed mark, that looks on tempest and is not shaken. (hide spoiler)] Oooooooohw...Did she just quote Shakespeare? Come on how cool is that eh? And she also quote something from Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, and some sonnets from people I don't know. However the characters, the plot itself I didn't like it at all. There's a point wherein I like the book it's when Mr. Carr leave but when he came back again the book just got worse and worse. Reading this book remind me of watching a car crash. The characters all of them self-destructs, I can't even say that I like even one of them or I care for them. I actually hated all of them. This reminds me of Wuthering Heights (a book which I didn't like) and School Days (an anime that I like). It's hard to rate a book like this actually and not all people will like it. I recommend it to people who are okay with strong and violent sex scenes, language, rape scenes, sexual and physical abuse, pedophilia, polygamous risky relationships, adultery and all the filthy, dirty things. I can't even say that this book has a powerful message since the plot and the characters are very superficial, shallow and plain stupid. But if you like to be disgusted or shocked, read this. It has some terrible parts but there are also amazing parts. Pros: 1. I love the title 1st to die and my assumption to who will be the "1st to die" is wrong so I guess that is a plus point for the book. 2. I really like the murder scenes it is very grotesquely describe that it made me shiver just imagining them. 3. The twist in the end about who's the true murderer is something that I totally didn't see coming and I think it is a great twist, very shocking indeed. 4. Even the epilogue of the book is exhilarating, I thought it is all over but there's still some heart-stopping action at the epilogue of the book. Cons: 1. The characters and their relationships felt very awkward and contrived for me. The dialogues are very cheesy that it actually made me gag a couple of times. 2. Even the Women's Murder Club thingy felt a little bit push, it is just there for the sake of a bad ass title for the series but it is really lazily written. The parts wherein they're talking or even when they first met each other is very unnatural. They're like BFF's all of a sudden. 3. Lindsay's "blood disease" is a little bit cliche even the coughing of the blood part. "I coughed a raw, burning stinging in my chest, then I shook and coughed some more. Gradually, I felt the spell recede. I took a breath, opened my eyes. I shuddered. There was blood all over the sink." --What I mean is that this is really cliche when you watch those drama series on tv, you'll always have this scene. 4. The romance is a bit cheesy too, especially at the beginning of the book. Even their first night together is written in a very cheesy way it just made me puke. 5. Also another thing that pisses me off is how the chapters are really short and guess what this book has a total of 126 chapters and one epilogue. I am so not kidding. 6. Here we go again with James Patterson's ridiculous deux ex machina. This is not my first J. Patterson book and I've read the first two books in his Maximum Ride Series and that's what I notice about both of these books is that he uses deux ex machina all the time to just move his plot. Like for example in this book, Jenks was inside the van and he is there because he's already a prisoner and then he have these handcuffs and some police who were watching for him etc. Then a GOD DAMN EARTHQUAKE came and he's free. I mean come on James Patterson this is just too convenient isn't it? Okay ranting over, all and all I did enjoy this book and I really am grateful that someone from The Filipino Group here in Goodreads gave this book to me last December. Though now I'm not sure who's the original owner since I just pick it up on the giveaway pile. Nevertheless thank you whoever you may be :).(less) | Notes are private!

So before reading it I suggest you should answer these questions first: 1. Are you really ready to read a rant review about the book? 2. Are you intelligent and mature enough to know that people have diverse opinions and that you should respect other opinions as well even if it's different from yours? 3. Are you logical and respectful enough to post an argument about the book and not on the reviewer? ***if you answer all the questions Yes with all honesty, you can now proceed to my last question (^___^)V*** Ahhhhheeem! Are you a Troll? (please answer with all honesty!) ***if your answer is No, you can proceed^^*** U N I C O R N S C A N G O T O H E L L C U Z Z O M B I E S R U L E S ! **************************************************** Grabe hindi ko alam kung maiiyak ako o magwawala(joke). Siguro ganito na lang gagawin ko... ![]() This was so disappointing parang gusto ko sumigaw ng... ![]() Sayang, sayang talaga... 4. Wala akong pakialam kahit kanino sa characters dito. 5. Napaka-boring as in define boring ang book na 'to! Sa sobrang boring di ko namalayan na nakatulog na 'ko, daig pa nito ang Valium. Bob Ong please lang po di para sa'yo ang Horror balik ka na sa Comedy. Final Verdict: EPIC FAYUL! ************************************************************* Note: This is just a letter to all my beloved trolls in this thread. Don't take this too seriously I am just being playful and childish when I made this one. Dear Trolls, Don’t judge me for giving this book one star. I didn’t like the book period and I have my reasons to support my rating. For the bloody second time in my opinion the book was overrated, boring, nonsense, lacks substantial plot, characters, conflict and horribly written. If you probably gave me this book without telling me that it was written by Bob Ong I probably would not recognize that he authored the book. In fact I’m a hard core Bob Ong fan I’ve read all of his works and love it. Actually I gave 5 stars for his MacArthur, Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas, Alamat ng Gubat and ABNKKBSNPlaako?. While 4 stars was given to Stainless Longganisa and Kapitan Sino and 3 stars for Bakit Baligtad Magbasa ang Pinoy. I do believe that everyone has different taste in books as well as in food, fashion, movies etc. But what’s important is being honest about what you feel on a certain thing. Would I rate this fake 2, 3, 4 or 5 though I didn’t like it, just because majority thinks it’s good? Or perhaps because it was a best seller? Or just because it was popular and the fact that Bob Ong wrote it? I BEG TO DISAGREE! Hey every book has a flaw and if a book is horrendous someone must stand and say, “Hey this book sucks in a major major way!” And there’s nothing wrong about that! I’ve read rant reviews of my favorite books like Catching Fire, The Forest of Hands and Teeth, City of Bones, The Book Thief, The Alchemist and the likes but I never bloody ranted on the reviewer’s comment section and tell his/her that his/her opinion was stupid and misleading. Because I bloody respect other opinions and I was simply amaze by the fact that people have different views and that makes us more interesting and that makes reading more interesting! Should we not criticize Bob Ong because he’s a Filipino and he gave to charities? Should we exempt him from this rule: Hey every book has a flaw and if a book is horrendous someone must stand and say, “Hey this book sucks in a major major way!” I don’t think that’s right! We judge a book base from the book, on how it is written, on what message does it left to the readers, and how the reader felt after reading it (Does he/she feels happy? Disturbed? Frightened? Annoyed? Disappointed? Or Amazed!). As much as I wanted to say that we should exercise freedom of speech. You should not insult me and saying that I did not truly understand what I read, that I’m an awful person because I posted a negative review, and that I’m an astoundingly idiotic. Respect my opinion, if you say rude things to me and then I’ll say rude things to you as well. This is my thread! And every hate comments I can bloody read it dumbass! If you disagree with me post your own review, do something else and stop trolling on my review or maybe you can just (coded message) instead! XOXO, Joyzi(less) | Notes are private!

Having read Naruto(its a manga btw) I already know that fillers for most of the time are crap. Yeah and this filler novella was just like that but still the writing is not that bad and forgive me but I just felt annoyed that I think I just wasted my time on this one rather than having starting to read the next book Iron Daughter. So yeah not a bad filler but not great either and to think that the scenes in this book were mentioned also in flashback in Iron Daughter. And I was like what the fudge, are you kidding me Julie Kagawa? Good thing was this was actually a free e-book made by the author and she's not like Stephenie Meyer who was greedy and make a book The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella to just have money because surely her psycho fans will buy the book just for the heck of it. So yeah Kagawa congratulations you're a better person than Meyer is lol. Just read this if you wanna waste your time or you like Meghan and Ash together. Just don't expect that it will be great or anything^^. Actually this novella just made me excited to read Iron Daughter, in fact I planned to read Rebel Angels by Libba Bray first but after reading this I change my mind and will read Iron Daughter next. The romance was still gushy and mushy but at least the dialogues were a lot better in the movie. Also the movie was more fast paced and was action-packed at the end of the show. I think the dog was really cute and Number Six was really cool in the movie. Sam was also likable in the film. After watching Alex Pettyfer act on the screen for the first time I got to say he deserve and he's fitted for the Peeta Mellark and Jace Wayland roles. Alex P. Loses His Shirt on the Ellen Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdxJMk... (OMG I think I died watching it^^) Movie Trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbrTuy... This looks pretty bad-ass and WTH, why was there a kissing scene? Die Diana Argon DIE!!! Movie Posters ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Who's excited for the movie? (^_____^) *hyperventilating* COMPLETE AND EDITED REVIEW What the hell! For the love of Alex Pettyfer, I will watch the movie and will read this book! ***Note: The post above are my insane thoughts before reading the book, pardon my fan girling obscenities. Book Review below. ___________________________ ***Note: Pardon the fan girling(for the second time), the review will contains lots of it. Enjoy ^^ (I'm not going to review the book yet(book review down there somewhere)...you can skimmed through, this is just my craziness.) ![]() ![]() Move over BITCHES! Alex Pettyfer is MINE, MINE, MINE . *attacks another fan girl* (Sorry I just have a manic episode, I forgot to take Lithium Carbonate this morning *evil laugh*.) _______________________ (Again fan girling craziness...*you can skimmed through*) Now before I'm going to review the book I'd like to tell you a story about how I met Alex Pettyfer (yum yum). Story time now! --So I read this book City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments Trilogy) by Cassandra Clare (If you haven't read this you're doomed!) and I was soooooooooo obsessed with it! Then I go to YOUTUBE and watch all this fan made videos of the book and I came upon this video wherein they posted their ideal casts for the movie something something something. Yeah and then Alex Pettyfer was the ideal cast for JACE WAYLAND *screams*. And when I see Alex Pettyfer **Note: Okay I shut up for now, will continue tomorrow. The Mogadorians are attacking my house *panic, panic*. See you later, Alligater! Fighting the Mogadorians OVER Now back to review... IM BACK!!! Do you miss me? *nods* I miss you too! *VERY MOOCH!* So where the hell are we? So as I was saying I love Alex Pettyfer from the moment I saw him I think _________________________ Okay fan girling over, I'm going to review the book now *I bet you're excited* Dun Dun Dun Dun Ba Na Na Na ....BOOK REVIEW.... So Okay, The Book Started Like This: THE EVENTS IN THIS BOOK ARE REAL. My Reaction To That Was: *Epic Face*(please don't ask me what my epic face looks like) Awesome!!! *jumps up and down* --Kidding, that didn't really happen ^^...Wait are you disappointed?-- My Real Reaction To That Was: Okay wait I'll translate it for you Not Pinoy Folks *panic panic* (Translation: WTF IS THIS! .<) I'm not a translator 'kay *hides from Translator Nazis*>) So my point is the book is ridiculous (Come on!!!), from the first page I know it will suck but I continue reading anyway *blame this on my fan girling*. Okay to make this review somehow organize, I'm going to use Pros and Cons *sorry I'm that obsessive-compulsive*. Pros (a.k.a the good stuff): 1. There is a scene wherein 2. There is a scene wherein 3. There is a scene wherein --Okay Pros over, on with the cons-- Cons (a.k.a the things I complained about) 1. The book is ridiculous (wait I already said that, sorry!). In fact this is so ridiculous I need to repeat myself, that's how ridiculous it is. Say it again -- RIDIKKULUS -- 2. This is just overrated. 3. The story reminds me of Dragonball Z. 4. The book for most parts is booooorrrrrrriiiing. 5. Bombarded with cliches, it was predictable. 6. I can't really get into the story, the premise was great but after few pages I don't care about the story and the characters. 7. The author was also a character of the book (Pittacus Lore whoever you may be, Gimme a break!) 8. The romance is mushy!!! *is this MG book or something?* 9. When the plot moves the author uses ridiculous deux-ex-machinas. (again with the word ridiculous is that the word of the day? something something something) 10. The ending was like *Author: Wait I need to have some action now there are a few pages left*--put Number Six in (done)-- put the Scouts (done)-- put the Beasts (done)-- put the soldiers (done).....-- more beast more beast (done)-- change the dog to beast (done)-- add another superpower for the nth time (done)-- kill someone, got to kill someone (done) "Dunn'it!" 11. I lol at this (considered that an understatement!) About the Author Okay the book was OKAY. It wasn't that bad but I really didn't like Alien stories. MENTAL NOTE TO SELF: Don't ever read something about ALIEN again Wait there's more: Fan fiction: Alex: What two stars? Why? Self:I don't like alien stories 'kay, I just read it because of you. *winks at Alex* Alex: So aren't we going to watch the movie anymore? Self: The hell! I'm going to still watch it okay, you're there for the love of God! Alex: Okay stop being upset, come here.. **Note: Next scenes were deleted due to Goodreads censorship** TeeeHeee(less) | Notes are private!

The pacing was great, the actress who played Lisbeth Salander nailed the role and all the Financial Journalism nonsense was obliterated. Even the Blomkvist-Cecilia love affair was not seen. The movie has awesome camera shots and it was a very good adaptation of the book. Even made the book amazing in my eyes. Now I'm really confused why I don't think that the book was awesome when I read it. Well I'll just blame it on the author's writing. I'll caution on some disturbing rape scenes, nudity, foul language and violence on women though. (R-18 and not for sensitive audience.)*** Book Review: Caution: The book contains rape, incest and misogyny, if you don't like to read a book that sick and disturbing don't read this. Review may contain spoilers. Pros: 1. The book is a mystery/crime/suspense/thriller ergo a breath of fresh air for a reader of paranormal, fantasy and romance genres. 2. The book has an interesting heroine in the name of "Lisbeth Salander" who was four feet 11, antisocial, anorexic and has no boobs, but inspite of that was an exceptional hacker with a photographic memory. Not to mention she got piercings and tattoos that's why she's so bad ass. (She's the girl with the dragon tattoo so to speak.) 3. Cool thing was the murderer uses Bible verses and then parodied it into his crimes. 4. The book also talks about hacking and you will also learn a thing or two about poisons. Cons: 1. I hated books that have slow pace and definitely this book was slow as a slug. The action sets in only on the second half of the book. 2. Pointless, pointless details! The author would describe clothes, sandwiches, and writes just anything the character was doing (drinking coffee, jogging or reading a particular book). 3. The casual sex! Blomkvist would have sex with Berger and then later on would also have sex with Cecilia and then much later on would have sex with Lisbeth. Surprisingly no one got Syphilis at the end. 4. The book talks a lot about Financial Journalism wherein from the first chapter had irritated me because I don't have a f****** clue what they're talking about and I don't even care about Financial Journalism that it really makes me bored to sleepiness (I even skimmed on the epilogue because I really don't give a damn). 5. Plot too many (to put it simply). 6. Rape scenes of Lisbeth was SICK! 7. Predictable and cliche: - Blomkvist go to Martin's House - Martin locked Blomkvist on the basement - Martin was the murderer. - Just as about the murderer would kill Blomkvist, Lisbeth came. - Blomkvist was saved of course. - Martin escaped. - Lisbeth followed Martin's car on the road using her motorcycle. - Martin's car was hit by the truck (talk about ANTICLIMACTIC!) 8. The Mystery ended with this: Gottfried was a sick murderer, he loves killing women, he taught his son Martin about it too. Martin also loves killing women too. Gottfried rapes her daughter Harriet. Harriet killed his father. Martin witnessed the incident. Martin rapes her sister. Harriet cannot tell anyone about it because Martin would tell everyone that she kills their father. Harriet was not murdered when she disappeared on Hedesby Island, she only escapes, she was alive and she was living on Australia using Anita's identity. (I was disappointed by it because I was really expecting she was murdered and the murderer was a genius to hide the evidence, but it was just Harriet escaping WTF!) ___________________________________________________________________ I'm so happy I've found a copy on Booksale for only Php130.00!(less) | Notes are private!

Book Review...down there somewhere Caution : This book review was ridiculously self-absorbed and will not be entirely wholesome (R-16 will do). ********...more Book Review...down there somewhere Caution : This book review was ridiculously self-absorbed and will not be entirely wholesome (R-16 will do). *************************************** (You can skim this through, these are just self-absorbed anecdotes, scroll down for the Pros and Cons ) First off I'd like to say that I've seen like this book Looking for Alaska for so many times in Listopia( a feature here in goodreads) and when I've met The Filipino Group in Goodreads last last week John Green's Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns were the buzz of the day. However what really motivates me to read it is when I've watched a vlog by the vlog brothers, I think it was Hank (John Green's brother) and he's promoting his brother's books Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns and Abundance of Katherines. And I was really shocked since I've watched few of their videos and it was a lot of fun but it never came to my mind that John was John Green the author. I thought he was just a normal guy who loves to make geeky vlogs and all that. So after watching the video I was really excited to read his works and was like Fuckadoodles I need to buy all his books. However I didn't find his book in National Book Store even when I go to SM Megamall (it's like one of the biggest malls in the Phils.)so yeah I just ranted about it on TFG on GR saying... Note: to protect other users, I'll just post Unknown and I deleted the tagalog posts because I don't have time to translate them :) Forum Talk Start Now! Joyzi:Is it that so annoying when you want to read a book and then you go to the bookstore and then they don't have a copy and then you'll find friends here in Goodreads already buy and read it...come on life you are so unfair >.< Unknown: Don't blame life, blame the publishers particularly their marketing (distribution) department. Joyzi LOL. Joyzi: well I blame Life in general. Yep I'm looking for Looking for Alaska or any other John Green books, hey I do so many illegal things just to read them! Unknown: Huh? Holden Caulfield teenage angst? Life sucks? Joyzi LOL! Joyzi: yeah life sucks, that's pretty much sums up my mood today Joyzi: and who the hell was Holden Caufield? Unknown: Google him, Joyzi LOL. Joyzi: I hate it when people say google it, well it's cute at first but then ahhhhhhhh *lazy to google whoever this guy is* Unknown1: joyzi, and what kind of illegal things you do just to read them? Haha Unknown, I saw who he is. Lol Joyzi: Ha *evil laugh* dumb me, I just downloaded Looking for Alaska at 4shared.com, why do I ever not thought about it before, Oh 4shared I am so in your debt right now! Geeez 4shared.com don't have any Paper Towns and neither Abundance of Katherines. Unkown1 who was that guy, care to tell me? Unknown: Additional knowledge, Joyzi. Since you read a lot, it pays to know this well-known fictional character. LOL. Just like the same feeling I have when somebody attaches a link (like YouTube or blog) in a thread and I click on it but it either hangs or blocked by our IT. I also hate long reviews, old reviews sent repeatedly many times and reviews with lots of pictures not or only slightly related to what the reviewer is saying. They clog my inbox. LOL! Unknown1: haha so your one of the 4shared loyal download-ers. haha. do you also read ebooks on phone? or in pdf form? Joyzi: @ Unkown1 I’ve read only on .txt formats and epub formats, I don't read pdf they're so excruciating to my eyes @Unknown so you hate my reviews then they're like bombarded with pictures Joyzi: @Unknown if he is well-known fictional character why don't I know him? My guess is he was in the "classic-that-Joyzi-don't-read" category. Oh Hail Hail 4shared they already got Finnikin of the rock *evil laugh* Unknown: lol Joyzi: Unkown answer my questions, don't just laugh Unknown2: Know what? Joyzi LOL is one good meme. Ahaha! :D Just sayin' folks... JoyzI: yeah totally agree with you Unknown2, like it was so cliche already from now on I'll type lolasaurus whenever there's something funny Unknown: Joyzi LOL! Joyzi: aaaaaaaaaagggggh Unknown lolasaurus! Unknown1: joyzi, as Unknown says its fictional character in The Catcher in the Rye. though I dont know the book. Lol I also have an account in 4shared. i think i saw that two books in other downloading websites. Joyzi: I don't have an account in 4shared, I just go there to do illegal downloading. Oh Catcher in the Rye, Unknown3 and Unknown4 says it's a good book, they say it's like a dick-lit or something Okay Forum Talk Over... ***************************************** Okay Intros Over, Book review time now... Pros: 1. A Guy Character POV from a Guy Author. I think this has to be the most amazing thing about Looking for Alaska because if I remember right this is my 1st time reading a YA book that have this element. I’ve read like Uglies by Scott Westerfield (guy author but Girl Character *Tally* POV) and I’ve also read The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (guy author but Todd POV, the Guy Character was a little bit juvenile). Of course I’ve read Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl (that was from Ethan’s POV *guy character* but the problem was it was girly and I blame that on the authors being girls) and also Maggie Stiefvater’s Shiver (Sam’s POV *guy character* was also girly). I’d like to say that Miles POV was realistic, like for example when Alaska was using his lap for like a pillow so Alaska could sleep; this was what he thought about: Layers of cloth that obstructs Alaska’s face from his private parts and having a penile erection maybe is not a good time. 2. The Teenage Life portrayed here was also realistic like: >bad vices >pranks >unrequited love >sexual curiosity >friendship etc. 3. In some parts the book was actually written in a very clever way: My favourite quotes are: "Ya'll smoke to enjoy it. I smoke to die." (Alaska) and this one If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was hurricane- Miles (Pudge) 4. It was very informative. You’ve got to learn about Suicide, Philosophy, Famous Last Words of Famous People, Feminism,*coughs* 5. I also love the game that they played here which was called Best Day, Worst Day. 6. I also loved how he used foreshadowing in this book and the mystery aspect surrounding *SPOILER ALERT* Alaska’s death. Cons 1. Stereotyping and Teenage stories clichés. Miles- the geek stereotype Alaska- the rebel girl stereotype Colonel- the cool friend stereotype Takumi- the Asian stereotype Lara-*coughs* Okay I’m not going to elaborate with the Teenage issues cliché stories like with family problems and seeking your true identity and such but I’d like to say that that’s the reason I only gave it 3 stars because the plot was too familiar and ordinary(maybe it was just me). But I’ll just rant about the BJ scene in this book which I really think was unnecessary, I actually got no problem with it because it was not that detailed when you read the book but still it kinda turned me off knowing that the book was YA(maybe it was just me). And seriously this was the 2nd YA book I’ve read that have BJ on it the 1st was Marked by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast, it was just too annoying, do these authors really think that teenagers doing BJ was entirely common? Come on we don’t do BJs and stuff like that!
***WTH is Pinocchio doing here? *kidding* *** 2. It was boring and draggy at some parts and a bit preachy too. 3. I just think that all in all it was a good book but it’s not that amazing or great, but it’s more than okay. Some parts I think was also written very poorly because I actually expected that I will cry in this book but I didn’t feel attached to the characters too much to grieve about them (that was just how I feel about it). But still I’m going to read his other books Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns and will see if there’s an improvement in his writing :) I’ll buy them next time for sure! Hope it will be available next time I book hunt for them ^^ ____________________________________ Thoughts before Reading Geeeezus! http://www.youtube.com/user/vlogbroth... Is it just me...or John Green was really one HAWT geek guy! Seriously I'll buy all your books! Just wait till I have my Christmas money on my hands! >.< (less) | Notes are private!

That I think would be the perfect word to describe what I felt after reading it. At first it was very confusing and the plot was so slow that it bored me to death. I think there were parts that I still like but as a whole I don't think that it deserved all the blurb and all the awards. I like the idea of the two stories and how these two were intertwined in the end but its the cheesiness and melodrama and how things were written that turned me off. The only thing that made me rated this book 3 stars was Jonah Griggs, all I can say about him is he can be the perfect boyfriend. He's really tough outside but inside he's really sweet. I can't help but smile when I read the TaylorxJonah parts. Also, one more thing, while reading it I can't help but feel that it was a little bit like an Ecchi Anime and there was also a Sex Scene and several vulgar language, so I recommend it for more mature teenagers. Book Review I really feel bad not liking this book because 1. it is a popular book and I know I am a minority for giving it 1 star 2. the book was given to me by K. D. during the meet-up of The Filipino Group in Goodreads last December and 3. Neil Gaiman is my friend here in Goodreads actually, he's kind enough to accept my friend request (now I don't know if he'll delete me)...Gomen ne Gaiman-san... *deep breath* So I know I know I'm a terrible person *please spare my life* --moving on-- Okay now...I'll just explain/enumerate things that I don't like about this book. 1. Too many weirdly named characters that are hard to memorize (and some of them I think does not contribute to the plot, they are unnecessary and pampagulo as we put it in Tagalog) for example Mad Sweeney, Low-Key Lyesmith, Czernobog, Mr. Ibis, Mr. Jacquel, Whiskey Jack, Zorya Utrennyaya, Zorya Vechernyaya, Zorya Polunochnaya, Mr. Nancy, Easter, Hinzelmann etc. 2. Too many subplots and too much dicking around that only slows the plot and makes the book uninteresting. It just seems like all these weird unexplained things happening and I don't know I just got lost and I felt that all I'm reading is nonsense and a giant pile of random mess. 3. It is immensely boring and nothing interesting was happening. I just find myself dozing off after reading a few pages. It really makes me sleepy. The book was not funny, horrifying or even entertaining. I don't know, reading it I just feel detached and really bored. I think this is one of the most boring books that I've read. 4. The ending was a cop-out and it reminds me of Breaking Dawn and Claymore. This is a very thick book and it is always mentioned that a big storm was coming and that there will be a war between the Old Gods and the New Gods. However in the end of the novel, the war didn't happen. It was just a conversation between Shadow and the Gods and it's like this (kinda) Shadow: Fuck you Gods: Fuck you too! Shadow: Assholes *The Gods go home because they realized they're assholes --End of Story-- WTF? Okay that was a horrible reenactment but I'm not kidding about the war not happening and the Gods *shoulder shrug* just go home, drunk their ass off, cook, have sex, whatever. (^_________________________________^) Yeah I was just disappointed and a bit angry because this is like 500 pages long, what a waste of time. I recommend it if you're like having trouble sleeping *coughs* just kidding. Idk as I've said I'm a minority and maybe you'll like it. You never know right? Unless you try. So read it, you might like it more than I do. Note: I'll not be reading and reviewing books until July. And I'll be inactive and I'll miss you guys. I really feel bad that I'll be leaving with a rant review. However I'll see you guys soon and hopefully I'll enjoy reading my next books. Also believe it or not I really hate hating books because I love books but that's the way it is.(less) | Notes are private!

Thoughts After Readi...more Thoughts Before Reading Heard it's about Egyptian Mythologies. I want this book so baaaaaaaad I'm having butterflies in my stomach! Thoughts After Reading I can't really say that this book is amazing in the same level that The Percy Jackson Series is Ah-Ma-Ziiing. It's just that I don't know the first half was really boring. ![]() What I hate about the first half: 1. No Percy Jackson :( Yeah I know this is a different series, but I don't know Percy Jackson is such a great character and the characters Sadie and Carter are annoying and I don't know they are not really interesting and lovable as Percy Jackson. 2. The story is a blur I don't know it takes a whole half of the book and the story doesn't make any sense until the second half of the book where a lot is explained and started to make sense. Maybe you could just blame it on me because I don't know anything about Egyptian Mythology with the five Gods - Set, Osiris, Isis, Nepthys (did I spell this one right?) and Horus - I only heard about Isis and I don't know about other Gods compared to Greek Mythology (Percy Jackson) and Roman Mythology (The Lost Hero) that I at least knew the name of their gods. 3. It felt like I was reading an encyclopedia more than reading a Riordan Novel I felt like a lot of things were explained in a "wikipedia" way and there are a lot of information about Egypt and as I've said I am not familiar with it. And it was really boring when these Egyptian shenanigans are explained. What I like about the second half: 1. Harry Potter-ish kinda You know what, a lot of the magic here reminds me of Harry Potter like the transformation of Sadie into a kite (bird) and the transformation of Carter into falcon (bird) is like the Animagus in Harry Potter. They also use magic and wands uhhhm spells, incantations, etc. which I think is really interesting even though it was a little bit Harry Potter-ish. 2. Egyptian Mythology Actually the mythology or what happened among these five Egyptian Gods were explained in the second half. And the mythology is really interesting, they're a lot of treachery and insane family drama. I loved it how Rick Riordan use that mythology inside the story and make it more relevant and interesting and he just makes the story more fresh and it was really nice to be informed at the same time having fun while learning about these things. 3. Anubis Actually my favorite chapter is The God of Toilet Papers (did I remember the title right?). Anubis was really hot and if you're thinking giving up reading this book like that what I felt at first reading this...I really recommend that you won't give up reading until you read that chapter, but that was really way second half of the book. Just be patient. And did I already tell you he's hot? All in all I still recommend this book especially if you're a Rick Riordan fan. It just a little boring at first and you just have to be patient. There are still a lot of new characters you will like - Amos, Bast, Iskandar, Anubis, Set, Isis, Osiris, Horus, Nepthys (sorry if I misspelled it) and a lot more. And it is more like family and love like "brotherly love" because the main characters were brothers and sisters. It was a little bit different with Percy Jackson series because they have demigods and this series the equivalent of demigods are godlings and they are not sons or daughters of Gods, but they are more like sons and daughters of Pharaohs (I really suck at spelling, sorry if I misspelled) and these godlings will be used as hosts by the Egyptian Gods and it is more like possession than being sons and daughters of a God. After I read it in fact I consider reading Fire next but because of the bad reviews I've read here in goodreads I decided to maybe not read it and I'll just wait for Bitterblue, the third book to come out. However when Graceling became our Monthly book Challenge in our group here, most of the group members decided to read Fire since they really like Graceling too and one of my friend here Jeneroso send me a message if we can read this book together as reading buddies. And since I have already a copy and, you know, I like the previous book, so...why not? So hooray I read it and finished it, finally, but truth is...the book bored me (run away from Cashore's fans). Yeah sorry for all those who love the book, this review might be offensive. So here it goes... My Problems with Fire aka why oh why the 1 star rating? :( ***Contains SPOILERS!!!*** Problem # 1 The book is immensely boring and it's plot less. So okay maybe it has a plot or rather too many subplots and maybe the problem with it is it's confusing or maybe too complicated. The stories are not really structured, the pacing was off and it really drags. Problem # 2 The relationship of Fire and Archer was another of those Cashore's Anti-Marriage and Pro-Sex Scheme. So these two are not really married and they are like friends and then one time they decided to be "fubus" or fucking buddies or friends but with benefits. I just find it really odd and Graceling btw was also like this. Katsa and Po decided to not marry because Katsa didn't want to but she said it's okay for them to have sex even if they're not married, something like that. So Sex...Yey! :), Marriage...Ney! :(. I'm thinking because her two books are like this maybe Bitterblue have this formula, of course. And I'm not really happy if she'll write it that way. Problem # 3 Fire. My problem with Fire is that she's always guarded. Like I think she has more than five or six guards, I can't really recall the numbers. But I think that the author wanted me to think that Fire was a strong female character like Katsa but in this story it doesn't work that way because she's always protected and guarded. So I'm not really impressed with her character. Truth is I find her character very weak. Problem # 4 Archer, the Casual Sex, the So people pardon my french, but I really wanted to say this, Archer is such an arse. As I mentioned before, Archer and Fire are fubus but then Fire sort of break up with Archer. Then Archer became heartbroken and he decided to have sex with Mila and Clara instead (Really, Archer? What a d***!). Fire actually learned about it and she's sort of okay with it, I think. So here's the other part of the story. Fire was actually taking up herbs that prevented her from being pregnant and eventually she became somewhat infertile because of it and she can't produce a child anymore. (It took me a while to understand why Fire need to take contraceptives but it was explained that she need to take it because her father thought that another Human Monster like Fire will be a problem.) She also give the herbs to Mila and Clara because she knew about Archer having sex with them. However the contraceptives or rather the herbs failed. Clara didn't take them up because of the side effects like she didn't want to be nauseated, so of course she didn't take the herbs. Mila on the other hand forget to ask Fire about extra herbs because she have taken them already up and I think she missed a dose something like that. Eventually they both became pregnant. My Final Thoughts I don't know what's wrong with it or maybe I was the one who's wrong, but I simply didn't care. It's like I read it for the sake of finishing it. Just because I love Cashore and Graceling. But really Fire failed, it was boring and somewhat I wanted to think that maybe minus the casual sex maybe I would like it more but no. Maybe next time, I still think that Cashore can write but she really should stay away from the Third Person POV (you're better with the First Person :)) and the Anti-Marriage Thingy (which is getting really disturbing). I guess I just have to read the next one since many of my friends considered Book 3 as the best out of the series . I just don't like that majority of the book was all about partying and hooking up (meh that's pretty much it). I really also don't have a favorite character atm so to speak. None of them really strike me as interesting enough to held my interest. And I just felt that the character are very similar to the other characters of YA books I've already read. Schuyler= Zoey, Rose, Ever, Clary Bliss= Lissa Mimi= Aphrodite Jack= Edward, Erik, Jace Oliver= Heath, Simon, Mason Kingsley= Adrian Allegra= Clary's Mom I guessed my disappointment was due to the fact that I've read too many YA books lately and it just so happen that when I've read this one it will always be subjected to comparison and yeah it just that I didn't felt surprised or thrilled. It just so happen that I read it recently so it was just very unfortunate, I can assume that if I read it before Twilight, Vampire Academy or House of Night it can be one of the vampire series I would rate higher. But still I find the book very sexy and still it was a bit different because it talks more about fashion and the vampires are associated with fallen angels and I really loved the author's writing style it was not annoying and I really like how she describe dresses and gowns that sort of stuff.(less) | Notes are private!

Okay first off I'd like to say that I've actually listened to an audio book version of this one. Honestly at first I really find it weird and funny when the narrator change voice from Cat's to Bones' voice because when the narrator (she's a girl btw) switches to Bones' it really does sound like a constipated voice and it's a bit iffy and I think it really does ruined the book for me at first. However as the narration goes on I guess I get use to it that after a few chapters it doesn't really bother me that much anymore. I just have a suggestion though, if I think audio books can have two narrators, one male and one female I think(just for the dialogues sake) it will be a lot better for the listener(just my opinion). Now I guess I have to use pros and cons again to make my review a little bit organize, so first... The Pros: 1. Let's talk about the main characters Cat and Bones. Cat she's okay I'm not really into her but I don't hate her either, she's really just okay for me. She's actually funny, smart, independent, brave etc. the usual "bad-ass heroine" type (I just found out that her character was "Buffy-like" according to a book review that I just read but I really don't watch Buffy so I really can't tell, well for me she kinda remind me of Xhex from however if I'm going to compare this two I love Xhex better). But I do have some problems with Cat that I will discuss more on the cons section later. ![]() --A picture of Buffy XD (for those like me who doesn't know her)-- And then there's Bones the usual "mysterious bad-boy" type and for what I've read he's the "Spike-like" character from Buffy. ![]() --I think this one was Spike (what an ugly pic ^^)-- ![]() --this one I think was his normal face,(really have no idea about this Buffy show lol)-- Okay but for me he kinda reminds me of Natsume from Gakuen Alice. If you happen to watch the anime/read the manga, you know what I'm talking about. Well Natsume was a kid like a ten year old or something like that but he's so perverted that his crazy antics were often banned from Animax lol. ![]() --this is Natsume btw-- Bad-ass Pervert Hot Mysterious Bad-boy Bounty hunter Vampire So yeah that was Bones, baby.... 2. Bounty Hunting yeah people you heard that right Bounty Hunting!(jumps up and down, runs in circles, goes out of house screaming retardedly)Yeah when I find out that Bones was a bounty hunter I was soooooo excited I was like having seizures and I needed to take Valium to calm my nerves. Well as you can see I love Bounty Hunting but it was usually in animes that they have Bounty Hunting like Cowboy Bebop, Hunter x Hunter, Claymore, Onepiece etc. and I think this was the first book I've read that has this bounty hunting awesomeness if my memory's right. So yey Bounty Hunting cool beans =3 3. The American Pie Humor...well I shouldn't have use American Pie since I haven't watch any American pie movies in my entire life and I just knew it through my friends who love those movies. But this book is really funny and entertaining in an R-18 way. Don't wanna elaborate since it was "R-18" just two words for this book LMAO and ROBLcopter! The Cons: 1. Unoriginal and predictable. Idk if it's just because I already read more than 200 books and have read a lot of vampire books that I really thought that the book doesn't surprised me anymore or some things I really have predicted would happen and I really need a book that surprise me or shock me in a way that the book would be memorable and exciting for me. Because when a book is predictable it was really a boring book IMO 2. I'm confused with the genre, Urban Fantasy to Romance to Urban Fantasy again. So yeah now I will rant about the Bounty Hunting stuff because I really want some butt kicking and head decapitating and shit load of action but it turns in the middle of the book, the author focused on romance and sex. And that really pissed me off because I really wanted some action but what happens was chapter after chapter of love confessions and crappy love scenes that I really hated it. Where is my anticipated bounty hunting epicness I seen on Animes? 3. Some stuff are really ridiculous and crappy. Okay the heroine Cat masturbates, Cat also don't wear any knickers (panties) when they go bounty hunting because Bones said that not only the smell of blood can attract vampires but also the smell of her privates as well and Bones has pink sperms, 'nuff said (I really don't want to elaborate) and I'm not kidding. 4. The Secondary characters, are really secondary characters, they're just there for the sake of having secondary characters, what I really hate about the book is that I really don't care about any other characters except for Cat and Bones and for me that was really disappointing. I really think that the author should make the secondary character interesting also. (less) | Notes are private!

I really wanted to like the book. I really do. However I was really disappointed. Maybe it was due to: a)awful writing b)cheesy dialogues c)annoying characters d)unbelievable mix of plots from Twilight, Hush Hush and Evermore or e) all of the above *sigh* It was just OKAY for me so I gave it 2 stars. It's just that the whole book is pretty damn boring and I really don't get it (the whole shadow thing and the war thing). I don't know maybe I'm abnormal or whatever, because my friend really love this book and they will also make a movie out of this book. And what was really disturbing for me is Disney will be the one to make this into a movie and after reading it I felt like: ARE THEY SERIOUSLY MAKING THIS BOOK INTO MOVIE!!!(Sorry for the Caps Lock) I mean, come on there are much more great books out there! Hush hush is much even better book than this one! And there's also one scene wherein Cam like insulted the souvenirs made from the Philippines and that really made me hate this book even more. Yeah enough said. Gosh I don't even know if I'm still interested to read the sequel. _____________________________________________________________________________ Disney will make a movie out of this, here's the link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/c... I've given it a not so high rating because the book is not so original and rip-offs of New Moon, Vampire Knight, Harry Potter, House of Night, Vampire Academy, Uglies, City of Bones, Graceling, Hunger Games, and Dear John (why is Dear John here? o_O) My explanation (sort of): 1. So first off, Bianca and Lucas were sort of apart from the first chapters and then they exchange these letters wherein it was really Dear Johnish. 2. And then there's whole pretend boyfriend-girlfriend thing with Bianca and Balthazar (okay heard of Hunger Games?). And Balty reminds me of Peeta (that makes me love him more than Lucas). He's sort of the sweet, selfless, kind guy. So I'm on BiancaxBalthazar ship right now, yeah I know she would end up with Lucas anyway but I don't really care, I love Balthy more. 3. Remember in New Moon wherein how Romeo and Juliet was use, and then so Edward (vampire) was Romeo and Bella (human) was Juliet and then Jacob (the best friend) was Paris. So it was pretty much the same here, the author copy paste the whole thingy so: Lucas (vampire hunter) = Romeo, Bianca (vampire) = Juliet and Balthazar (vampire friend) = Paris. 4. Ms. Bethany reminds me of Neferet from House of Night. 5. Vampires can have a glimpse of emotions and feelings of someone when they drink of their blood. (I’ve already seen that on Vampire Knight). -----‘Kay Im too lazy to add other things up but I just can’t help the feeling that I’ve read something like that before and with that my always next step is to compare. Like for example the ending of this book SPOILER ALERT was a battle between vampire and vampire hunters in where I can’t help but compare to battle of Hogwarts (Harry Potter) or the battle between Strigois and DhampirxMorois (Vampire Academy) wherein I find that the Stargazer pales in comparison. The battle was ended abruptly and it was not fully described (everything was sort of a mess and we don’t know what happen to others). No fighting on Bianca’s part so it was just telling a bunch of things happening around here (which was really lame). So yeah, that’s pretty much it (too lazy to elaborate). PS: Cool I used “sort of” 5x. Teehee ^____^ (less) | Notes are private!

Idk I can't really expressed my emotions about it. I really love that part, aaaaaaaaaawwwwww, it was just so sweet and I cried reading it. 2. Heath was back and it was very shocking. I love love love the twist on Heath's character and I really was excited for the next book because of it. 3. Kalona can actually go to Stark's body and they're like connected somehow. So okay he found it out when he was actually going to Zoey's soul/mind but what happen was he goes into Stark's. In that moment actually when Kalona do that, Zoey and Stark were like having sex and then OMG it was funny *inserts my uncontrollable laughing here* idk when I read that scene I can't stop laughing. OMG *head desk* honestly the way I imagined it was pretty hilarious like Kalona goes into Stark and Stark was like idk having an 4. I also love the part when Neferet make an alliance to the white bull. I think it was also a pretty nice twist that I was anticipating for the next books. Idk I felt like it was a bit funny and also a bit "erotic" (or maybe it was just me *wearing my I'm a perv shirt* -kidding-) that Neferet was naked all the time when she was talking to the bull and I find it very shocking that she was naked (repetitive much?) but then she was like riding the bull. That was just deeeeescuuusssstttiiiiinnngggg! Cons 1. Too much pop culture references. I was literally pissed off by the constant mention of Glee, Trueblood etc. because I can't relate what the heck are they talking about since I don't watch TV shows anymore. Also I felt like it made the writing lazy and crappy since these conversations were unnecessary, and will not contribute to the plot and character development. It appears to be a waste of pages and also this is just "stereotyping" and the authors violated this rule "Show not tell." 2. Grammatical mistakes. I was shocked that I noticed not 1 but 5 grammatical errors though I didn't have the book right now, so I'll mention stuff but I can't put pages on it. -What it is? should be What is it? -They's should be They're -Forgivens should be forgiven 3. Zoey and Stark were incredibly horny characters. It was just annoying, actually I could have given this book 5 stars but Zoey Redbird, you just ruined the book for me. Zoey was like this "Okay so Heath died" --mourn for a moment-- and then --she get over it-- and then --she moved on-- and then "I wanna have sex with Stark btw." She's just really idk *head desk*, she's incredibly horny and also have an amazing bad history of sex. First she lost her virginity to Loren Blake who happen to just have sex with her because he was Neferet's lover and he didn't care about Zoey at all but Zoey thought that Loren loves her and blah blah blah *too lazy to elaborate* and then in this book she had sex with Stark and Kalona (as mentioned above, see Pros #3). Btw should I considered that a threesome? Kalona-Zoey-Stark threesome? Whaddya think? 4. Horrible dialogues. Zoey- "Bull poopie" and "Hee hee" The queen *who I forgot the name*- awful accent -some lines are cheesy: RephaimxStevie rae, DamienxJack, ZoeyxStark But still, still, still will read the next book up until the last book >.< This is guilty pleasure ladies and gentlemen. I'm addicted to it but I admit the books were crappy but I love 'em because they're funny, entertaining and I love Rephaim and Stevie rae's love story. I'm such a sucker for Beauty and the Beast type of love stories. Yeah these two are the sole reason I'm still hangin' up. ^^ Short Review Okay I think this book is more of a filler and the things happened in this book was like just the beginning of a new conflict to the series. I'd really love to give this one 5 stars but there are just so many things that I really didn't like about it. *sighs* I just wanna say that this one is a classic example of actually a great plot/idea however it was written and executed very poorly. My in depth review tomorrow. Random Babbling before I Read the Book I HAVE NOW IN MY HANDS THE COPY OF THE BOOK *drumrolls* WILL READ AFTER MATCHED ________________________________ hey guys i just found this book trailer on youtube and I'm seriously freaking out right now. The vid says kalona and erebus are like two souls that are separated? Is this true? Is the ARC available yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsAPPn... _______________________________ I want to know more of Kalona's back story. Also want to have perspective coming from Neferet this time. More stevie rae and rephaim on this book. _______________________________ OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD.OH MY GOD. *deep breaths, deep breaths* Rephaim was the one on the cover!(Rephaim's reflection on one scene of Burned!) I wish he will be human next time! Gosh I'm so excited for this to come out!!! (less) | Notes are private!

This book is okay, it's not really exciting and there's not really much happening that would keep you from the edge of your seat or something like that. The romance is also pretty subtle. I'm not really recommending to read this if you don't like twilight and if you like twilight it's a nice short filler to read. I think that the story is not really that gripping and my fave parts are mostly when Diego and Bree are together but it was lost I think in the middle of the book when Diego was gone. Their relationship reminds me of Pretties Tally and Zane because like them these two confide with one another, after realizing that somehow they're pawns in these battle. I've read a lot of vampire stories/books at the moment and my problem with twilight is the "vampires sparkle" thingy which is what I really hate while reading this, I mean SM have a different perception about vampires but I think even the newborns act civil, Bree even she's like three months old she can control herself. It's just that these are vampires that you'd not be scared of they're somewhat soft IMO.(less) | Notes are private!

Wondering what "Last Sacrifice" means??? My speculations on who kills the Queen, I think it's probably Victor Dashkov since he is free now or maybe one of the royals I bet it's Adrian's father. I'm Team Adrian, but if it's going to be like Twilight, then Rose and Dimitri would be together at the end, I'd just hope something happens like Dimitri die or whatever lol. I think if they find Lissa half-brother/sister, then she'll be the next queen for the Moroi Society. I bet Rose will be a fugitive and Abe's the one would help her. I just wish the ending would not be too much of a happy ending like what happens in Breaking Dawn, when they don't fight in the battle so no one major dies. ***Thoughts after Reading This One*** Note: First I'd like to say that I'm really confused on how to rate this one thus I have two ratings. If I will base it just on pure emotions alone or how I felt about the book in general I will rate this one star. However, if I put my emotions aside and judge the book rationally I will have given it a five star. But I favor my emotions rather my reasoning so it has a one star rating displayed up there. But just to be cleared I repeat that this is a one and five star book at the same time. And then there will be SPOILERS, Fudge these SPOILERS! Note: Skim this one, this is just a crazy letter, bear in mind that I'm still emotional. Dear Self, I hate you. I really hate you!!! Why, why are you always like this? Why do you always side on the second guy in a love triangle? Is that a sickness of yours or something? First in Twilight you're Team Jacob right? And didn't you ever learn your lesson in that that the second guy will always be fucked up by the heroine in the end. That they will just be trashed and dumped out like stupid piece of shit! But you always team up with them don't you? You still always most often than not love the second guy rather than the main guy right? You pissed me off. Look you already know how it will end (Are you really that dumb?) since this one is what exactly happens in Eclipse too! But what did you do? You still hope and have that wishful thinking that Adrian and Rose will end up together. That Dimka will die. That Rose and Adrian will end up having little dhampir babies and that will be the solution to their dhampir-will-be-extinct problem. But girl you're so wrong don't you? Because Richelle Mead broke your heart into microscopic pieces of myocardial cells! Rose not only break up with Adrian, but she cheated on him. She had sex with Dimka even before breaking up with Adrian! What an irony is it right? You're crying and losing your mind reading a sex scene because of the reason that you felt cheated too! And now you still don't learn do you? You still would have those naive fantasies that Puck and Meghann will end up in Iron King Series, Bianca and Balthazar will be together in Evernight Series and Jem and Tessa in Infernal Devices series. Please it will never ever be a possibility, so I beg you don't fool yourself into thinking about it! Sincerely yours, Evil Alter Ego ******************************************************* The Five Stages of Grief as Applied to my Dilemma Note: Please don’t take this seriously. It’s only fictional. Denial: Friend: Hey have you read the Last Sacrifice? Self: Yeah Friend: Really, do you like it that Rose and Dimka ended up together? Self: What? Have we read the same book? Rose and Adrian ended up together! GEEEEZ! Anger Friend: Hey are you okay? Self: I’m not okay! I felt I want to punch Dimitri and Rose in the face if that will ever be possible! I’m so angry right now! Really Dimitri and Rose go to hell! I can’t even believe that Rose cheated on Adrian! What the hell’s wrong with that woman? I really want to kill her! Gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrr...... *attacks someone innocent who happens to pass by* Bargaining Friend: Hey what are you doing? Self: I’m writing a letter to Richelle Mead, don’t bother me! Friend: Huh I thought you’re angry at her last book. Why are you writing to her then? Self: I just say to her that if she will change her last book I will be her servant forever and I’m going to clean her house and wash her laundry and cook for her, you know the usual stuff. Just, just change all the things she wrote in the last book and make Adrian and Rose ended up together. Friend: What the hell! You’re kidding right? Self: No! I’m dead serious! Friend: *nervous laugh* ah okay *walks out of the room* Depression Friend: Hey do you want to go out tonight! Self: I don’t want to do anything *cries and hugs friend* Friend: What, what’s wrong? Self: I don’t want to live knowing that Rose and Adrian don’t end up together. I just wanted to cry all day long. Friend: Hey you are still not through with Rose and Adrian not ending up together? Come on girl where’s your back bone? Move on, get a life already! Self: I can’t. I simply can’t. *cries and wails* Acceptance Friend: Wow someone looks happy today. You look good are you through with the drama huh? Self: Yeah shut up! *shoves friend* I’m feeling okay now, I think Rose and Dimitri deserve each other, right now I really don’t care about them. Friend: But what about Adrian huh? You still felt mad about what happen to him. Self: Hell no! I think Rose didn’t deserve him, you know what I think I should just keep Adrian to myself. Rose can go to hell with Dimitri, Adrian is MINE, thank you Rose for giving him up to me! We deserve each other more! Friend: What? It’s a good thing you get past that but seriously friend, I think you have another problem, you now have delusions! *************************************************************** Book Review (Finally! I think this should be my longest review ever, why the hell are there so many intros? O_o) Let start with the good stuff... Why-oh-why the 5 star rating? 1. The cover’s gorgeous, that’s a plus! 2. The title was also good “Last Sacrifice” though I really don’t get what the hell is the so-called “Last Sacrifice” in this book. Please someone explain that to me on the comment section. 3. Rose POV is sarcastic, witty and funny as always that it never fails to crack me up. 4. Abe Mazur was funny as hell as always. 5. Sydney the alchemist was backed. 6. We get to go to different places, like the community of the Keepers, Sonya’s crib, etc. 7. The Politics! Gosh I love all of that! The election of the new Moroi Queen and Lissa’s tests are really exciting and different as she pass onto another level, like there’s a test for physical, emotional and intellectual. 8. I love the final test; the question was like, “What must a queen possess in order to truly rule her people?” And actually Lissa’s answer to that shocked me and I love it. 9. I love Lissa in this book I think she had that sort of character development in this one. I kind of underestimated her because in the previous books I really thought that she was a weak character, but in this one she really did grow and I believe that she’ll be an amazing queen. 10. I also love Sonya Karp I think she has all that wonderful quotes in the book and I was really glad that she and Mikhail finally reunite. 11. I also love Christian in this one even though I missed his firefighting coolness. All of his scenes were like a good ‘ol boyfriend to Lissa, but at least those happens to be sweet moments in this book that all of a sudden I really wanted to be Lissa. 12. I really love the murder mystery aspect of the book, I must admit that tuuuut as the Queen’s murderer was not that really shocking since someone already spoiled it to me in the comment section *coughs* (lol I’m just kidding) but seriously as you go along the book there were clues that actually you really would have guessed that tuuuut was the one who did it. 13. Okay let’s talk about Lissa’s sister, that kind of shock me because I really thought that what they will meet was a new character of the story, but it was tuuuuut(OMG) though yeah I was kind of happy about it because I kind of love her from the previous books. 14. OMG Tuuuuuut died and tuuuut killed her because she kinda lost herself because of Spirit-induced anger. I think it was quite shocking but I really don’t care about it because I really think that character deserved to die anyway. 15. Victor and Robert team up with Rose’s team I think that was also surprising and thrilling at the same time. I also love the part when they fight and like Sonya use Spirit and then Robert uses spirit too and Victor uses earth. It was pretty epic like an anime fight scene. 16. Yeah in general I did think that this was an amazing book and an amazing series (just minus the Adrian part). It was fast-paced, full of twist and turns, the characters are all great, it was thrilling and just simply amazing. Why-oh-why the one star rating? 1. Rose cheated on Adrian. Really Rose out of all the people! (T_T) you’re unbelievable!( I would like to share some passages from the book, that really made me want to rip the book in half) Page 417: We touched in no other way, but his hand held all the warmth in the world. This was hardly a perfect moment, like in the library, but our familiar connection and the understanding between us burned brighter than ever, and it felt good. Right. Natural. I didn’t want to sleep. I just wanted to stay there and savor being with him. It wasn’t cheating, I decided, thinking of Adrian. It was just enjoying this closeness. ***Oh really Rose? Fudge you!*** Note: this next scene happen after Dimitri and Rose had sex. Page 488: Regardless, I couldn’t lead him on after sleeping with Dimitri. It hadn’t been murder, no, but it had certainly dishonourable. Yet...I couldn’t say any of that to Adrian now, I realized. I couldn’t break up with him in a dream. That was almost as bad as a text breakup. Besides, I had a feeling that...well, I’d probably need his help. So much for honor. Soon, I swore. Soon I’ll tell him ***Rose you’re the worst living creature ever! (T_T) You’re not only a cheater, but a liar and a user as well!*** 2. Worst break-up in the history of my reading books ever! Page577:”I loved you!” he yelled. He jumped up out of his chair so quickly I never saw it coming. “I loved you, and you destroyed me. You took my heart and ripped it up. You might as well have staked me!” The change in his features also caught me by surprise. His voice filled the room. So much grief, so much anger. So unlike the usual Adrian. He strode toward me, hand clasped over his chest. “I. Loved. You. And you used me the whole time.” ***WTF! This kills me! (T_T)*** I really hate this! I hate Rose and Dimitri! If I ever saw Dimitri in person I’m going to do this ![]() Calm down, calm down, calm down... Okay so much for drama, I just want to say that I still love the series and I still love Richelle Mead (though you did break my heart) and I’ll still wait for the sequel to come out and for the movie as well. This btw is what I imagine Adrian will be: ![]() (less) | Notes are private!

My problem with this book lies with the characters and I don't really like any of the characters in this book. Ever the main protagonist is just annoying, stupid and petty. Her relationship with Damen also seems superficial and I don't get that the story was like, "Would Damen and Ever finally seal the deal and have sex after 400 years of their love found and love loss story?" I think it's a great premise to have a story of undying love that passes through centuries like they're soulmates whatever but if the author would seem to drag this sex drama I don't want to read any further if that would be the conflict of this book. I wanted the relationship of Damen and Ever to be emotionally centered because I don't really get this "Love at first sight thing" going on and it seems that sex or not having sex for the last 400 years make their relationship. I think it's stupid and pathetic and I don't really know things about Damen, he's not really being described and his character was not really shown yet. I just hope in the next books there would be character development. But still I'm glad I've read this because of the information about different kind of crystals and what are there purposes. I just feel like if the book focuses on more interesting things like chakra, crystals, and lot of the supernatural thing going on it would be more interesting. (less) | Notes are private!

I can say that Maggie still showed her talent of writing beautifully in this novel, the way she wrote it was really really good that it made the book tolerable despite its flaws. The book for me was okay it could be amazing but my problem with the book was it's completely plotless, plotless, plotless, and it was also extremely slow in pace. I think the last part of the book was the only one that makes sense that I thought finally that...okay, somehow it has a plot and probably I would still be reading the last book. I don't know, it's just while reading this it's like nothing was really happening until the last part when finally something happened. And the additional characters Cole and Isabel...I really don't get them, I really didn't feel like they have chemistry or whatever. But still it's really okay for me, because for most parts it didn't give the feeling of excitement. The book was more on romance than action and the conflict mostly was with Sam and Grace's parents which I don't buy. I also felt that when something like supernatural like being a werewolf and then it would be explained scientifically somehow it became unrealistic and surely it will contain major plot holes. I just didn't get the theory yet it seems hard to believe and it was also not explain very well. But if you like Shiver, it's okay to read it, just don't have high expectations so you'd not be disappointed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow this book series has excellent beautiful book covers. Love the title!(less) | Notes are private!
