K. A. Tucker has created both a fantastic UrYay! I was given the opportunity to review another fabulous book! And guess what? It is a Vampire romance!
K. A. Tucker has created both a fantastic Urban Fantasy world (set in New York) AND a completely separate Dystopia Fantasy world! Can it get any better than that? The Urban Fantasy world Tucker created mirrors the earth in a lot of ways, but the other, Dystopia world has been completely taken over by Vampires and humans have been extinct for 700 years, AND their world has gone downhill ever since.
Evangeline is the main character in the book and I just adore her! She trusts easily and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. If a person (or vampire LoL) breaks Evangeline’s trust or shows signs they should not be trusted, it takes actions not words to gain her trust back. I noticed this in her character right away because that is exactly how I am and this is exactly what I would look for in a friend! And, throughout the book I was in conflict with who Evangeline should trust, right along with her!
Evangeline was orphaned when her mother was killed in a car accident. Throughout her whole life she’s had a hard time getting close to anyone other than her mother, and then she loses her. In the beginning of the book, she is about to turn 18 and she is offered an amazing job making a lot of money that requires her to travel with this wealthy lady to New York!
But after she gets to New York, weird things start to happen to her. When she goes to sleep, she vividly dreams that she is actually waking up in strange places and meeting strange people. Her dreams are so vivid that, at the end of the night when she wakes up in her own bed, she can’t believe they were only dreams. What’s happening to her? And, why is this happening? Is there a reason? Who are these strange people she sees when she goes to bed? Is she living in the real (LoL) Urban Fantasy world . . . or living in the separate Dystopia Fantasy world! You will have to read and find out! The romance in this book gave me butterflies and tingles! My stomach actually did flips a couple times. What I’m getting at here is that I am, once again, in love with a fictional character! Ooo! La! La!
K.A. Tucker included plenty of unexpected twists and turns in this story, and she has written an amazing, phenomenal, and, at the same time, heart-wrenching cliff hanger of an ending! I LOVED it! I am really looking forward to K.A. Tucker’s next book! ...more

I found a new fave and I only read the Prequel! OMG…this book had my blood pumping, I think I should have my blood pressure checked! And then bam, you leave me at that? AND now I have to sit here and wait to see if I can get an ARC to fulfill my fix! To make it even worse, if I don’t get an ARC, I have to wait until September for the release date?
This series is going to seriously ROCK! Alexandra (also goes by Alex and Lexie…I love that BTW), is the type of heroine I absolutely love in a series. She isn’t afraid to run but if she is caught up in a split second moment, the fighter in her comes out.
I’m going to call her Lexie because I like that name. Anyways, Lexie is a Half-Blood (Demi-God). Half-Bloods are trained at a young age to protect Pure-Bloods from daimons, the freaky, scary, looking’ creatures!
Lexie and her mother have been on the run for the last 3 years, taking her away from the only life she has ever known to live in the real world.
My predictions is that Lexie isn’t just a Half-Blood, there is something special about her and that is why her mom has had her in hiding for so long. I guess we will have to see! PLEASE DON’T MAKE ME WAIT!!!
Here is a quote that I love: “When I didn’t answer, he shook me, and that was it. My bitch switch was flipped and, well, my sense of self-preservation went right out the window.” ...more
FINALLY! PC and Kristen Cast redeemed themselves! I really liked the first 4 books in the series, but after book 4 the series gradually started to goFINALLY! PC and Kristen Cast redeemed themselves! I really liked the first 4 books in the series, but after book 4 the series gradually started to go downhill.
The 5th book was "eh" and I was truly annoyed by the end of both books 6 and 7. The 2 prior books had me drawn into the story and kept me anticipating a really good ending that NEVER CAME! By that point I thought PC and Kristen were losing interest or dragging the books on too long, and they were ruining my opinion of the books. I kept thinking, “please be done already!” And, "can you PLEASE give me an ending?” Oh, and let’s not forget about all the guys Zoey kept selfishly stringing along. Ugh!
Now I am back on board! You know why??? I loved this book! The first part of Awakened I really liked, then it started to drag (I was thinking “NO! NOT AGAIN!”) but about the middle of the book I was sucked in! At that point, I COULD NOT put it down. Put it this way, I stayed awake until 3am just so I could try to finish it.
The ending to the book was A-MAZE-ING!!! There was a little bit of a cliffhanger, but it was THE perfect twist! It may be the best ending to the whole series! I know the plan is to extend the series for a few more books; as long as they keep this up, then I'm on board!
Nightshade is a new fave of mine and I am really looking forward to reading Wolfsbane; unfortunately, I have to wait until the release date in July.

The Guardians’ (werewolves/ shifters) sole purpose is to serve the Keepers by obeying the Keepers’ laws and protecting the Keepers’ sacred sites. If a wolf does not follow the laws or his/her destiny, it could ultimately result in serious punishment, not excluding death.
Calla is the Alpha of her Nightshade pack; she has been destined since the date of her birth to be bound to Ren the Alpha of the Banes pack, and it is Calla’s obligation to stay pure until the date of their union.
Throughout Calla’s whole life she has followed what is required of her, but one day while on patrol with her best friend, Calla broke two very serious laws. An unknown human was trespassing in her packs' territory during his hike, putting himself in danger. Calla felt obligated to save the human, so she shifted from her wolf to her human body in front of him and coerced the human to drink her blood, which ultimately saved his life.
She never thought she would see the human again, but there is a new student in school. And, when she finds out who the new boy named Shay is, she knows there could be trouble.
I loved that in this book there weren't any slow moments. Throughout, you learn what is required of the Guardians and every moment the book kept me intrigued. From start to finish I had a lot of mixed emotions. I could not put the book down because I just had to know where the book was leading!
Talk about mixed emotions! The ending had me EXTREMELY proud but at the same time REALLY pissed off at Calla. Confusing, right?
Oh! Guess what? We have another dang love triangle to deal with? This book is harder for me over any other book I have read (well maybe not as bad as City of Bones with Jace and Clary.) With every other series, I am usually dead on about who the main character should be with. So, I was more than determined to figure this one out. The ending made it even harder for me to decide. To be honest, I am a little worried that I may be disappointed with the end result of the series! Knowing the way this book was written, I wouldn’t put it past Andrea Cremer to cause even more torn feelings until the very end of the series.
I could keep going on but I don’t want to give anything away.
Loved it! Amazing! I am beyond happy of how this book ended. I wish I could live in Idris!

I am swaying between 4 and 5 stars. This book made the whole series so worth it!
The details in these books are so vivid, everything from beauty to grotesque and from magical to horror. Other books I have read, I can be a little flexible on how the characters look but with this series I have a very vivid picture of each character (they are all really **HOT** in their own unique way).
Cassandra Clare’s imagination is so amazing. Do you want a book that has vampires, werewolves, faeries, warlocks, angels, demons and forsaken? This is the series for you.
I now have a deep attachment to all of the characters, specifically Clary, Jace, Simon, Izzy, Alec, even Maia and Magnus. I love reading about how each character evolves in just a few weeks.
Cassandra Clare had to have had a very big picture of how this series would play out. When there is something that happens in the book that you would think is not relevant, you find later plays a big role in the books…and I don’t think she is done.
She does have an ending to all three books, so you can give yourself a break between books.
I have to own this series because I would really like to read them again.

It just makes my stomach turn when she describes how gory and smelly the demons are.
The first book had mainly Clary's POV, the daughter of a demon hunter (shadow hunter), but this book has POV's of other shadow hunters, a werewolf and a vampire. She also introduces beautiful AND not so pretty faeries in this book.
You learn in the first book that Clary's mother kept her in the dark of the real world. After her mother is taken by the father she thought was dead, her mom is now in a coma. She now is experiencing a dark world she never knew existed and is learning things about herself in an intense journey.
Clary's father Valentine is the perfect evil villain. He is charming and conniving. At some point I even question myself if he is the one that is evil.
I originally gave the last book 3 stars, only because I was disappointed in something that is revealed at the end. I now think that the twists are part of what makes these books so good, even if you are weirded out by it. I am still hoping that what is revealed in the first book is not really true (another twist).
I actually really liked this book. It was listed at the library a horror book and at first I couldn't see why, but as I read on I can now see why. ItI actually really liked this book. It was listed at the library a horror book and at first I couldn't see why, but as I read on I can now see why. It is also a mix of humor and romance. If it was a movie it would probably be in the horror section.
Mortal Instruments is primarily based on demon hunters. The book has everything such as warlocks, vampires and werewolves.
The ending really upsets me and is EXTREMELY creepy (I can't say or I would ruin the book) and I REALLY hope what is revealed is not true but I can't see how it would not be.
This book is really long (not the quick read I am used to), but it compelled me to keep reading until the end and I am looking forward to reading the next one.
***If you are thinking about not reading the remaining books just because of the ending, don't give up! Each book gets better.

My predictions for this book were completely wrong. I devoured this book in 2 days and I can't stop thinking about it. The emotions I got from this book are heartbreak, anxiety, shock and anger. There were a lot of parts in this book where I would get choked up or where tears would be rolling down my face. Even now, when I reflect on moments in the book, I get emotional and tear up.
Katniss is mentally broken from the destruction that she has caused by her actions. She is caught up in a roll that she didn't choose. One of her biggest challenges is she has to decide if she wants to keep up that roll to have a Revolution in Panem and to bring down the Capitol. She has a hard time deciding who she should trust. One thing I love about Katniss is when she is caught up in the moment, her actions are always smart and amazing.

Three words to describe this book would be Amazing, Compelling, and Intense. I read The Hunger Games in 2 days, Catching Fire in 2 days and then I thought, “I have to wait until August for Mockingjay?” So I read the last half of the second book again, and then I read the whole first book all over again in one sitting. I am not one that reads books more than once, but I think I will be reading these books over and over again.
***SPOILER ALERT*** If you have not read the first book to Hunger Games, do not read further. Katniss and Peeta have survived the Hunger Games and they are now District 12 Victors. Victors are guaranteed safety and wealth for the rest of their lives! Are they really safe? President Snow thinks that Katniss has outsmarted him, he is angry. How will he punish her?

What an amazing book to end a series! So much happened in this book and I can't believe Richelle Mead pulled it off!
Last Sacrifice was not just a book ending a series; it was also an amazing book that could stand-alone.
Richelle Mead has already revealed that she will be doing a spin-off series and I could not be more thrilled. So many lives had changed (a lot for the worst) due to this very intense book. A group of new characters were introduced as well. My hopes are that the spin-off will include these people.
I would like to point out that I was completely caught off guard by the person who killed the queen and framed Rose. I didn't figure it out until the last minute.
For those of you who have not read it yet, ENJOY!
Spoiler Below * * * * * * Aside from my extreme happiness that Rose and Dimitri are now together, there were so may things that happened in this book that I just LOVED!
I REALLY liked reading about Lissa in her Trials.
I would have to say one of my favorite parts of the book was when Joshua proposes to Rose and Angeline fights her to see if she is worthy of her brother. Then Rose, Sydney and Dimitri are heading of to bed and Rose says, "It's not funny!" "Your right," agreed Sydney. "It's not funny. It's hilarious."
Here are some quotes for you!
1. Abe (Rose' father)! "Ah, my daughter," he said. "Eighteen, and already you've been accused of murder, aided felons, and acquired a death count higher than most guardians will ever see." He paused. "I couldn't be prouder."
I have to say I LOVE ABE! He better be nice to Sydney.
2. "Well, well, well," I said. "If it isn't the people responsible for unleashing Rose Hathaway on the world. You've got a lot to answer for."
"Don't blame us," said my mother. "We didn't blow up half the Court, steal a dozen cars, call out a murderer in the middle of a crowd, or get our teenage friend crowned queen."
"Actually," said Abe, "I did blow up half the Court."

There is a major cliffhanger in the end, but it is something that I had prepared myself for being it is the 2nd to last of the series. The emotions that I got from this book are fear, frustration, sorrow, happiness and anger. The majority of this books sucks but that is what makes it so good! It is truly driving me insane knowing that I will have to wait until December for Last Sacrifice.
I have no idea how she is going to wrap everything up in one book.
I would definitely give the full series 5 stars.
I ♥ Dimitri - ALWAYS I ♥ Adrian - TOO! My happily ever after would have to be Rose with Dimitri BUT I cannot see anyone with Adrian accept Rose. Can she have them BOTH?!?!

I will now have to wait until May of next year to read Spirit Bound.
After an awful ending to book 3, I was more than eager to read this book. Rose goes against all her beliefs and leaves the one person she has spent her whole life preparing to protect.
She is on a journey to find the man that she is in love with to kill him. When Rose finds out that Dimitri has been turned Strigoi in the school attack, she knows what she has to do. Dimitri and Rose had discussed that they would rather die than be a Strigoi.

I can honestly say that this is one of the best books I have ever read. The whole book is so compelling! It is so horrible but sooo good! I started reading Catching Fire and I know that it is going to be just as good, if not better.
Katniss has spent the last few years of her life providing for her sister and mother by illegally passing the fence that keeps them in District 12. Her family would starve if she didn't hunt outside the district. The Reaping is something every family dreads. The Capitol requires that all children (ages 13 to 17) enter their names in to a drawing to fight in The Hunger Games. One boy and one girl from each of 12 districts totaling 24 and only one can live. The Hunger Games is about the fight and survival. With everyone watching on live TV, the children’s best option is to entertain their audience.

The first part of the book is in the POV of Bella and how uncomfortable she is with all the changes in her life. The only thing she is looking forward to is that she will be spending the rest of her life with to boy she is in love with. The wedding in my mind was unbelievably beautiful! I have to say that the honeymoon was one of my favorite parts in the book. I love the part when Bella wakes up and she is covered in feathers. I was dying with laughter at that part. The second part to the book is in the POV of Jacob. It is his struggle to overcome the lifestyle that Bella has chosen for herself and the heartbreak he feels because she didn’t choose him. The anger he feels toward Edward and you learn a lot about the wolves. It also comes to a point where there is a struggle between the wolves on how to handle a new situation that was brought to their attention. I really liked learning about the wolves for a change. The last part is back in the POV of Bella. This is the part where the rest of the series all ties together to finish the series. I last part of the book; one of my favorite characters really upset me.

The reason I originally this book 3 or 4 stars was because of how depressed this book made me feel. As a result to all that emotion, I could not stop reading, I read this book in 1 day. So I decided that this book should receive 5 stars. My original comment is below.
This book will cause a lot of emotion...making you more addicted. I was really depressed through the first half of the book and I even cheated and read little parts of the end to make sure that everything was going to be OK! This book made me even more consumed into the series..
