In way of helping, each of the Sullivan brothers, takes Kat;s twins out and when it is Pat’s turn, the twins urge to be taken to the amusement park. The twins won’t come back though without seeing the play, and that’s where Pat for the first time sees Charlie (the ruthless C.J.Demarco) who is filling for her twin, Emily. Little does he know that this gorgeous women, with whom he is slowly falling in love, is the one whom he will have to battle in the courtrooms. Charlie on the other hand because of her families financial woes (which is due to her mistakes) is stuck with the law firm which represents some bad people. When Patrick is made the Captain for hunting down the Garbage Can Murderer, who brutally kills prostitutes and then dumps there bodies in the trash-cans, little does he know that his love and trust in Charlie will be put to the ultimate test.
Before starting this book, I had no idea this was 4th book in the Men in Uniform; The Sullivan Boys series. This books works as a standalone, so you don’t have to worry about reading the books in order. You cannot help love Pat, the head-strong, good-looking Police Captain. I think another thing that makes Pat so appealing is his love for his family and there values, just love that. Charlie’s and Emily’s relationship is so lovely and nice. There are moments in the book (towards the end), that I really felt for Charlie, behind that strong facade is loving, vulnerable women, who loves simple things in life. I think the mystery is well done, but the ending is a bit predictable and I found that the love between C.J. and Pat looked a bit rushed too. But this is a quick with a nice ending, something I am in the mood for right now ( are you not also?). After reading this, I really want to check out other books in the series as well. And the final installemnt is also coming out very soon....more

There is a body of a platinum blonde found in the library of Gossington Hall. What the young woman was doing in the quiet village of St. Mary Mead is precisely what Jane Marple means to find out. With a host of weird and some nice character including the small Peter who made the quote above, this is a fascinating read. By the middle of the book, I was suspecting everyone of the characters and the end was quite a surprise. I loved it!...more

She is believes that Li Tao is the one who killed her brother and is plotting against her father, the King of China. When the guards who are to accompany her back to her palace are drugged and fall far too easily, a barbarian, Ryam comes to her aid. Armed with Butterfly swords and trained in there use by her Grandmother, Princess Ai Li is no delicate thing. Ryam, who has no idea about her identity, promises her to get her home safely, without touching her… but he wants her more than anything. It does not help that both feel this fire between them. Battling Li Tao’s ruthless soldiers at every bend, Ryam is not only going to keep him promise but also find something about himself that he never knew. There is nothing more awesome about a strong women, armed with Butterfly Swords and a hot Barbarian by your side battling the evil guy like Li Tao. With lush descriptions of a a very turbulent rule, Jeannie Lin has done a wonderful job of keeping me interested in this love story all way through the end. I have not read anything set in the Tang Dynasty. The opening of this book reminded me of the starting of the movie The Myth (starring Jackie Chan), but the similarity ends there. Lin has also captured the time period very beautifully, it gives you enough glimpses into the way people lived and the unrest that was there. I was never bored, the love scenes between Ai Li and Ryam were not overdone, that is it did not look forced or cheap.
I totally enjoyed this one and I loved the two main characters as well, especially Ai Li.

Eric got back his memory, Sookie is richer but for how long? There is a sniper in town who is aiming for the shifters and the shifter’s community think it is Jason, Sookie’s brother. Now Sookie has to do something to help Jason and keep him and herself alive. This is another spicy installment, but defniitely not my favorite. Well the reason being, I definitely did not think I will really remember what all happened in this installment, but I am sure I am not going to like Alcide anymore. Just when you think there couldn’t be any new character introduced, Charlaine comes and gives you the wereTiger…OMG! I am sure I am going to see him again in the future installments....more

There is drool-worthy ancient (now i think ancient is synonymous to sexy in this series) Eric has lost his memory and is in the guy-next-door avatar with whom you can definitely have your happily-ever-after. Poor Sookie, you can never fault her for giving in to his innocent charms. Eric, never my favorite is oh-so cute in this installment.
So the plot – Eric has lost his memory, thanks to a very powerful witch-high-command who covets Eric in ALL raunchy ways. This witch clan is also wants Eric’s assets and also is a danger to all the other super-natural beings! So the Vamps, the weres, shifters and the good witches join hands to defeat this awful clan. Of course, in between this, Sookie’s brother Jason is also gone missing and she fears that he has been taken hostage by this witch clan.
Oh well, this is definitely high on action, Bill is nowhere to be seen, except when he comes in the very end. I did not want to believe that Bill’s and Sookie’s relationship is over, but I think Sookie did the right thing by moving on… but moving on to where? We will have to find out!
