I thought the stuff that went down in the end was unnecessary. We were never given the impression that Phil had issues other than being a douche. I didn't like the random chapters from the other character's POV. I found it took me out of the story a bit. Lots of sex in this one. I liked Lily's BFF, Suz, a lot and can't wait to read her book.(less)

I really liked Cassie and Trey. I didn't mind the mistaken identity via omission trope. What drove me crazy was Cassie's dad and his wife. Why do step-mothers have to always be evil?! And the dad a p*ssy with no backbone? Grrrr!! THAT drove me crazy. Really got on my nerves towards the end. But overall a nice romance between Cassie and Trey.

I’m a huge fan of the Demonica and Lords of Deliverance series. Both series intertwine but you should read the Demonica series first because those Seminus brothers are sexy as hell and those books are HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!!
Azagoth has been around since the Demonica series and we know that he’s the The Fucking Grim Reaper and Idess’s father. Azagoth is tired of fathering memitim’s which are angels that are on Earth that protect and guide humans. Azagoth wants a mate and he’s not fathering anymore children until he gets one. Lilliana is a time-traveling angel who is in trouble for helping The Horseman and breaking “shrowd” (making herself known to humans). Lilliana is offered a way out of being severely punished — be Azagoth’s mate and if she happens to be able to still his chronograph while she’s there, all past sins will be erased. That shouldn’t be too difficult, right? But nothing’s ever simple or easy when it involves the Underworld.
Another winner by Larissa Ione! Are you surprised? I loved Azagoth and Lilliana. The one thing that is consistent throughout this series is that the heroines are strong. I liked how Lilliana wasn’t afraid to go toe-t0-toe with The Fucking Grim Reaper. You wouldn’t think that the Grim Reaper would be a sexy and sympathetic character, but he is. I loved Azagoth. Being in the underworld so long stripped him of all emotion and his life had been nothing but darkness. Lilliana brought light back into his life.
I enjoyed Azagoth and all this novella did was whet my appetite for the next book in this series, Revenant.(less)

She’s shy and awkward. Her confidence level isn’t very high. The last thing she wants to do is be at Beaver Creek for her brother’s wedding, participating in all the pre-wedding festivities.
Logan has been tasked with making sure Sophie doesn’t spend the entire week hiding up in her room. When Logan realizes that the butt he’d been admiring belonged to his friend’s baby sister, the idea of babysitting Sophie doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Logan slowly brings Sophie out of her shell and finds that he enjoys being around her. Sophie has always had a crush on Logan and being around him is no hardship. The New Sophie wants to make her move on Logan but the old Sophie’s insecurities keep getting in the way.
I haven’t read the previous books in the Wedding Dare series but didn’t have any issues following the plot. I really liked Sophie and Logan. Sophie is a very likable character. I liked the mix of social awkwardness and glimpses of sass and bravado. One of my favorite scenes involved a belt and Sophie making Logan stand in a corner. The scene was HOT! The chemistry between Logan and Sophie was wrought with tension and explosive.
I really enjoyed Best Man with Benefits and now I want to read the other 3 books in the series. I’d say my only issue with BMwB is would be why do we always have to give the “fat girl” a makeover? Why can’t she just be happy with herself in her frumpy clothes? Other than that, sexy fun story. I did feel like the ILUs were a bit premature. But it’s romance and a HEA is mandatory, eh?(less)
