The earliest Stephanie Plum books have been, in my opinion, the best that the author has written. So to find them all in one book is quite the thing.

This book has "Four to Score" "High Five" and "Hot Six". This is a great way to add to your collection and to always have three of the best Plums at hand. You can't go wrong with the price since it works out to be less than 3 paperbacks!

This book is very different from what I can usually expect from this particular author. And that is not really a bad thing. While it can be said that these men and women went beyond the bounds with holding grudges; sometimes pain just runs to deep to simply 'just get over it already'. Many women can understand holding grudges for as long as these characters did. Those that might not be able to get it and were annoyed by it, may never have had anything like this happen to them. I, for one, am very thankful that my life was a heck of a lot more tranquil than what these characters had to put up with while growing up.
Imagine that your father had a whole other family and the daughter of that illegitimate union happen to be one year behind you in school. Then further imagine that your father really did dislike you. You his first daughter, beautiful, smart (though never showing it), popular but not loved...never loved, by the one that mattered most. This is what happened to Sugar Beth and the story of what she did to infuriate an entire town.
Now she is back in town and is prepared to face the group that hates her the most, those that she has done real wrongs to and while she may not be there to make amends she is certainly going to feel the wrath and left over hate of those that she had hurt the most.
All of the characters are strong, opinionated and able to grow; some of them in very surprising ways.
This is a book that I think you will read many times over and find something new in it each time. ...more

And not a particularly good sex manual - way tooo much talking and negotiating for my taste, although very true to reality from what I understand.
I will admit that I am finding myself agreeing with Queen Andais about one thing -the Sithen is changing into something it may never have meant to be. However, I can now see upon this re-reading that Meridith seems to have more Seelie than Unseelie in her (leaving sex out of it) so these changes ring true then.
Due to this particular book - it will be interesting to see how King Sholto develops....more
Liz has just come down from learning the most horrible thing about her husband that a woman could learn. He was4.5 Stars -Book 7 in the Dundee Series
Liz has just come down from learning the most horrible thing about her husband that a woman could learn. He was a bigamist. Now she is trying to get back on with her life and to live one of her dreams. Her dream was to open a chocolate shop just like the one from the movie “Chocolat”. Her well-meaning friends are trying to perk up her love life though, and have set her up with a very handsome but very withdrawn and cynical man. He is living his worst nightmare too, and he has not been trying to work through it.
Carter has decided that he is going to help Liz open her shop and also help her with a case of vandalism her shop has had. It sort of stands to reason that they will nearly immediately get the hots for each other. There will be the usual hamming and hawing, but in Ms Novaks very talented hands, it doesn’t feel like the same old, same old. She seems to always be able to make the trite and cliché feel fresh and new.
While this book was written a good any years ago, it still feels as if it were written only yesterday. This book has complicated and flawed, but very likeable characters. It has an interesting twist in the vandalism mystery and the needed hot scenes along with our ‘happily ever after’.
Overall it is an excellent quick read well worth your time and money and may even become a re-read for you as it will for me. I love this whole series and I plan on re-reading it from book one right on through to the last book in the very near future! ...more

If you find yourself titillated and curious about threesomes then you may want to start your journey with this book .It is by three totally different authors with three distinctly different writing styles.
Many of us have read Angela Knight and her Mageverse books but many don’t know that she has a bit of a more erotica bent too. It certainly shows with some of her love scenes in her non-erotica. Ms Knight has a flair of blending a good story with steamy love scenes.
Sheri Gilmores story was the least favorite of mine but still well worth reading for a slightly different point of view. This story combines an aspect of threesomes that some may be a tad uncomfortable with but is elegantly and sensitively done in this book.
Lastly “Fortunes Star” is my favorite and the longest of the stories. Morgan Hawke is a gem of an erotica author and she certainly knows how to add sci-fi to the mix. The men in this story are very, very unique. This story combines the uniqueness of this particular species/man, magic, and bi-sexuality and is all wrapped up in a great space drama background. Ms Hawke has written at least three other books set in this type of world. I can recommend at least two of her other sci-fi eroticas along with this one. ...more

While this book did have some continuity problems, it was not anything I really can't handle. I loved this introduction to this series. The witty *rolls eyes* banter between the protagonists is a hoot. And it is especially wonderful if you read the companion piece, which will give you the point of view of some of the story from Curran.Curran: Volume I (Curran POV) It will also help with some of the other books also. It makes it easier to see how the series is going to move. I have read the entire series and short stories, etc and I can tell you that the writing team that prints under the name of Ilona Andrews is by far one of the best out there.
They took what is now an overly-saturated genre and brought it back to life - each book holds more kick-butt action than anything else. There is romance but at this point in the series, it is merely hinted at and will build gradually like a real relationship. There is mystery with each book, flawed but wonderful characters. These are characters that you might want to have as real life friends. *sigh* If only I really could have them as pal.
This is an Urban Fantasy...NOT a romance, so please expect a LOT of action, a LOT of fighting and a LOT of bodily fluids. When this team writes a `bad guy' character, they really do an excellent job of it. The character becomes one you love to hate and hope that they get everything that is coming to them!
I don't think that you will regret starting this series, especially now with the 6th full book about Kate Daniels coming out on the 30th! There is still just enough time (maybe) to read all the preceding books!
