Probably one of the most unique romances I have ever read. It was slow at parts and you had to get used to the simplistic thought process of the hero and the lack of dialogue, but still an interesting story if you are in the mood for something different.(less)

If you can shut off your brain and just enjoy the relationship, you may enjoy this if you can ignore all the issues.
First, I will start off with the things I did like. Despite all the issues, the story was very readable and kept my interest. The sex scenes were hot, they both got off on rough sex and rape fantasy type scenarios, which is fine with me when both are into it.
Now for the not so great parts. The biggest issue is that the story felt so jumpy and disjointed with not enough detail about the characters or story. We barely know anything about the details of the lead characters lives other than what happens in the story. The heroine tries to commit suicide at the beginning of the book and we never really find out why or how she recovered or anything - just one example of big events that happened and are glossed over.
The book is supposed to be a biker book but it barely felt like one. The details of a motorcycle club just weren't there, we were just told the hero was in one. The issue with the heroine's father and the reasons for his killing are way too vague. Also, we are told the heroine's father was going to dump her in another town with no support or help before he went into witness protection by himself, just another thing that didn't make sense because the heroine would have been in danger.
Another huge issue for me was that the hero acts in despicable ways to the heroine and it is barely addressed and just glossed over. He is trying to get her to tell the location of this super important USB stick and he takes it to a crazy extreme. He starves her, chains her up, throws her off a bridge handcuffed and then gives her a food she is highly allergic to and she almost dies. The guy is seriously psycho and I couldn't forgive these because she could easily have died. Then she barely cares and just wants to have sex with him and heal his poor little broken heart. WTF. The best thing was, the USB stick that he chased her for an entire year to find then tortured her - he just throws it in a drawer and does nothing with it. He doesn't destroy any info on it that would implicate his club or use the info against other clubs or copy the info onto a computer for safe keeping. Nope, just leaves it lying around so she can steal it again.
There are many other things I could complain about, like the heroine's almost rape that didn't affect her, the hero's many issues from his past, the ending where he shows up from another incident that should have screwed him up more but we aren't given any resolution except he is magically ok and then super quick HEA with no other details. Then instead of an epilogue with these two it's other random people we barely know.
So suffice it to say, this wasn't a winner for me because of too many plot and writing issues. The story was readable and had hot sex scenes so I am giving it a weak 3 stars.(less)

I am looking forward to the next stories in the series very much.
However, the story needs a good editor. There were quite a few misspelled words (many uses of "passed" instead of "past"), uses of capitalized words in entire sentences, and uses of all caps for paragraphs to show yelling. There are also missing periods at the ends of sentences. Hopefully the author gets an editor for her next book because she did a great job at creating a story, it just needs a little polishing.
The story itself was a quite enjoyable biker book. I liked both the main characters and the supporting characters. The story kept me engaged and interested and excited for the next books in the series hopefully featuring the heroine's sister and friend and some other brothers.(less)

First - the dominant suddenly wanting to treat his lady like glass even though that isn't what she wants then both of them are disappointed. Be a man, pull her hair, tie her up and screw her proper just like both of you want. I really can't stress how much I hate this plot in a BDSM book.
Second - they end up at a "club" at the end (though we don't really know what happens yet). Clubs have been done to death in these types of books and I am not a fan. I remain open to seeing what happens but I wish he would have worked out his dominance issues in their perfectly nice bedroom. Now it seems like she is an exhibitionist and/or voyeur so this may work out but it just felt out of place in what we have seen so far. The one bright spot is he promised neither of them would touch anyone else.
Lastly, I didn't really feel the same connection between the leads. He was acting weird and she was overly obsessing about feelings at times where it didn't seem appropriate. I was hoping for some hot, sexy dominant/submissive love scenes but was as disappointed as the heroine.

I liked it but not nearly as much as Until November. I didn't like the fact that we don't see the beginning of their relationship and that Trevor slept with other people after they had a stupid misunderstanding. They knew each other for months before Trevor finally made a move which doesn't seem to jive with how possessive and crazy about her he seems to be in this book.
Another big issue is that the book is filled with time line jumps in the story that come without any notice like a chapter change or break shown on the page. It makes the story pretty confusing to follow, you would be reading one chapter and suddenly in the next paragraph it's three weeks later without barely any notice. Until November had this issue as well but it was worse in this book. Until Trevor also had many editing issues just like Until November - many misspelled words, missing words and grammar issues. I hope the next book has better editing.
I am looking forward to Until Lilly. I like this author's writing style despite the issues with editing, she writes hot protective alpha heroes and a generally enjoyable story.(less)
