Before this she seemed nice but she came off mean to me during this part. I understood that she had issues from her last marriage but she didn't seem to care that her attitude hurt Brawn and wouldn't give him a chance to explain his feelings. But before this part and after it's cleared up were good. Still not as good as Valiant though.(less)

The ending was a bit abrupt, I wanted more! I hope we get to see Drake with a baby sometime :)(less)

Once on earth, Kaden meets his human true mate when he buys land in Austrailia. Terrie is also instantly attracted to Kaden despite her resentment of having to sell her land to him because of money issues.
The romance was very fast moving but sexy and exciting. The hero is pretty dominant and possessive (but still a nice guy) so if you like that type you should enjoy him.
One big thing I have to warn about: the editing and some of the word choices are just not great. While I liked the overall story, the writing seemed kind of basic sometimes and needed a good editor. Also, the Kindle version has annoying formatting errors like adding random numbers at the end of sentences.
I liked the basic story despite the editing issues, I thought the dragon hero was sexy and I liked the heroine for the most part. There is a spanking scene but wasn't a big deal to me since I read much more intense BDSM.(less)

My biggest problem with the book was that the entire first half of the book read more like historical fiction, as we are mainly in the heroine's head and there is no romance to be seen. The two leads hate each other, especially the hero who hates all whites and would gladly have left the heroine for dead initially except for a promise to his brother.
The second half of the book was a lot better in the romance department, Katherine and Gaetan finally come together after knowing each other for months, basically because Gaetan finally gives in to himself. I really liked Katherine as a heroine, she was a strong, intelligent woman who made the best of her situation and showed courage by following her feelings and supporting Gaetan who became her husband. Gaetan was harder to read, we don't see much of his point of view so most of the time we have to judge him by his actions. He is very cold and hard for the first half of the story but he tries to be a good husband to Katherine once they are married, he eventually shows more emotion toward her.
I enjoyed this story of a woman who through circumstances ended up living through the last free days of the Apache and falling in love with an Apache man. I appreciate the realism of the story but I wish the romance would have started sooner and been a bigger part of the story. I felt somewhat removed from the characters sometimes, I am not sure why. The hero is especially hard to connect with, I wish I would have known him better and cared more about him. But overall, it's definitely worth checking out if you enjoy western and Native American romances. Not many good Native American romances are written anymore but I would count this as one of them.(less)

Though this should have been a Harlequin Presents with all the emotion in it. I really enjoyed the story and was glad when the hero finally figured things out and ditched his family, though I am sorry the heroine went through so much while pregnant. Wish we would have seen an epilogue with the baby so we could see if it was a girl!(less)
