I loved that the plot took so many turns.I hope there is a lot more of asha in the next one- the untouchable, I thought theye were interesting creatures.Good things about the book: 1. I was really glad that felicity and ann had a chance to prove their worth- shooting arrows and singing to save their lives. 2. I liked that Kartik showed some more emotion.and I REALLY like that he has turned on the Rakshana for Gemma! 3. I liked that Miss Moore was Circe. I liked her in the first book and really hoped she would get more involved- as in, be one of The Order. But I really didn't see it coming that she was the evil one herself! It made me appreciate her that much more really, because that would be the way to get in. Act kind and befriend the key to the realms- not like Miss Mccleethy who was sinister from the beginning. Well done miss moore.
Things that frustrated: 1. Felicity and Ann don't show much kindness to Gemma. How they remain friends is somewhat a mystery.I know in the first book it is explained that knowing each others secrets ,and their knowledge of the realms binds them which is understandable to a point. Felicity does nothing but use Gemma to get to the realms- blame her for losing Pippa and then snub her when she finds out about Felicity being molested. 2. I cannot BELIEVE simon middleton is even still in her thoughts as anything but a lowlife creep who tried to take advantage of her after getting her so drunk she couldn't walk!
I think it will be interesting to see how things come about with the Rakshana and The Order. I figured the Order would come together around Gemma- the one who could save their order- but the idea that they are just as evil as the rakshana is great... too power hungry to be any good. But at the same time I wonder what would happen to the power should Gemma die?(less)

On the other hand, it was humorous and parts of it were endearing. I think I would react somewhat the same way if I was rased in a harsh reality and then suddenly told to forget all of that and believe women are"flowers" meant to make the world beautiful without being exposed to work. 2 1/2 stars.(less)

I bought it on a whim at a book store because it was on sale. It is a lighthearted, humorous read about an 1800's debutante and the society she lives in. Nothing too trashy happens, which I think is absolutely great! and I giggled so many times- refreshing. I keep going back to this book when I am bored with another or have nothing else to read.(less)
