Although the cover depicts their story as a light hearted romance, there are some pretty dramatic moments and themes in the book especially dealing with Cassi'es late husband and her family. I also loved the fact that Cassie and Noah didn't just seem like characters in a romance novel, but people you would tend to know in life. Rachel Anderson writes the story of love, loss and love regained in an engaging way. I liked how even the characters grated each other at times and didn't even like each other at first, but learned to break through their walls to trust. Romance readers looking for more than just a fluffy story will love Rachel Anderson's books. I'm always on the lookout for her works and can't wait to work my way through her backlist. Great story!
I'll be checking out the other books in the Meet Your Match series. ...more

How much do I love this novella? SO much! Kenzie and Ty played off each other so well that you couldn't help root for them to get together. Ty is adorably geeky and even though he bored Kenzie's elementary class to near tears, I loved how passionate he was about software programming, to the point that he made a reference later on in relation to how he got to Kenzie's heart. SO awesome. I liked that Kenzie was hesitant to break things off with her fiance and even when she started having feelings toward Ty, she wanted to be faithful and honorable. Both characters were likable with awesome chemistry. I found myself smiling at the end when they got together.
There's also an interesting subplot involving Ty's estranged mother which not only makes this a story about love but also about forgiveness and compromise. If you're in the mood for a wonderful heartwarming story, do yourself a favor and pick up Twist of Fate to read with your hot cocoa. I'm a bonafide fan of Rachael Anderson now. After adding her works to my TBR list, I'm glad I started with this one and can't wait to read more of her other books as well as the other All I want Holiday Romance anthology books. I highly recommend this read!...more
Wow! I just finished this book and it's still on my mind and I'm still in shock! Bravo Ms. Hogan for such an awesome, pulse pounding read! This is theWow! I just finished this book and it's still on my mind and I'm still in shock! Bravo Ms. Hogan for such an awesome, pulse pounding read! This is the second book in the Christy series but I read it because it precedes Hotwire which I plan to read and post about for Cindy Hogan's upcoming blog tour.
There is a lot of suspense and mystery in this book and the amount of situations our heroine Christy gets into has you wondering how she will get out. The blurb description of the mad man is no joke. The villain Sterling lives up to his name as he kidnaps teens and brainwashes them to carry out his twisted deeds of justice to whomever he believes has violated his believe of " A world without smut. A world without indecision. A world without lawlessness. A world without greed.” He truly believes his convictions and will go through any length to carry them out. Christy is careful but makes a few mistakes as she goes undercover to infiltrate a few thrill seeking high school clique groups that love doing death defying stunts to chase danger and dodge death. She nearly falls for one and all through the book I couldn't wait to see how he will take knowing the truth about her when it comes out.
Although the book is indeed clean in the sense of no language and sex, there are a few cringe worthy scenes of violence involving the villain which adds to the visceral nature of his actions. Mature young readers would be able to take this but parents may want to give this a reader for younger suspense fans. You guys won't be disappointed! Adrenaline Rush is definitely has it all! I don't want to give too much away because the beauty of this book is not knowing much about it going in. Very little of it is predictable and each moment always has something going on. I was bummed whenever I had to put it down because I was always wondering how Christy is going to get out of her situation. Awesome job, Miss Hogan! Once I detach from this story, I'm going to hop right into Hotwire. First, I need a mental break from the rush!...more

Although it took a while for me to get into the story, once I got used to the style I was taken away by Maddie & Arthur's story. I liked how Ms. Raney presented their love story like an old fashioned romance in the style of an old timey historical romance. There is a misunderstanding between the two from which a friendship blossoms all the while an attraction grows when they see each other not knowing who the other is. I liked how they communicated through letters and this is where the old Jane Austen style comes in.
It's predictable, sure, but the way the story unfolds is perfect for folks looking for an easygoing, sweet and squeaky clean romance on a lazy weekend afternoon.

Rewind to You is a sweet romance with such awesome lyrical writing that I couldn't help but be swept up in the feelings of the characters. Austin was such a sweet yummy guy I could see why any girl would fall for him. I really felt the pain and guilt at Sienna's tragedy in connection with her father's death. There were some parts where I wanted to yell at my Nook for her not to do certain things (some choices she made were not very smart) and I loved how Austin brought them to her attention but I chalked it up to naivety of youth. I really enjoyed this read and would give it to my daughter if I had one. It's a sweet, clean YA romance that anyone can enjoy and it will inspire some great heartfelt familial talks in connection with grief, family relationships, young love and forgiveness. The beautiful prose alone is worth it but the story and characters make the icing on the cake! Highly recommend this one!...more
