I had to keep reading just to find out what happened next and what "trouble" this couple could get into. I am now a big fan of Alexander! I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good sexy steamy story! (less)

This was mediocrity at its best, this book just didn't hold my interest. I think part of it had to do with the far-fetched premise of this book. If you want to check out Lacey Alexander books I totally recommend "The Bikini Diaries" and "Seven Nights of Sin." I hear "Voyeur" is really good as well, it remains on my TBR pile at the moment. Nonetheless, I look forward to the next Lacey book and only hope it will be the caliber of her other books. My rating was for the best of the portion of the book I did read.(less)

How Deke always loved her but knew it was better not to be involved with her in the past. He is a flawed hero, which made him human but he saw the error of his ways. There is menage in this book, though... just a warning. Luc, Deke's cousin is introduced which I liked as well. Totally different, with a different set of flaws/problems, he was also very human. The next book, Delicious is about him. There was some tortured love going on when things went terribly awry in Kimber's life, I did cry when Deke thought it was best to leave Kimber alone, but he saw that is not what was best for each of them. I do not cry often in books. It has only happened a couple of times. I read this a few months ago, so I am sketchy on details, but I believed the love between the characters as well. Decadent ties in nicely to Wicked Ties and you will see why. I also thought the sex scenes were hotter.(less)

The relationship between the hero (Todd) and the heroine (Erin) was not believable. This couple had it together outside of the bedroom once the two reconnected. Inside the bedroom, was a whole other story. I felt like I was reading a play by play of the action. The "love" scenes were very stilted and not erotic at all. This is a big problem for me since this is an erotic romance. I must have spice and connection between my H/h.
Todd, angered me. He wouldn't embrace who he was in the beginning of the book to get the girl, he ran off (not an original plot line, however he never really made me believe that he was redeemable).
Erin, I liked. She was strong and independent and knew what she wanted in life (especially in bed). I really empathized with her upon the uncovering of the terrible tragedy that she went through.
Another thing that bugged me about the love scenes were the fact that Todd wanted to explore being a Dom. I was confused by how this played out. The characters talked about bondage, but it never carried over to the bedroom. All the hero ever did was give directions/orders. Well, okay anyone that does that is not fulfilling the role of a Dom. They are just voicing what they want to do.
Because of the lack of connection I decided at page 125 that I had to give up for now because I don't really care any more what happens to Todd or Erin. This book is supposed to encompass a menage relationship as well with a friend of Todd's, however I never made it that far. I don't see a menage relationship playing well into the story. I have book 2, Coming Undone which I am still interested in reading because it deals with Erin's older brother who owns a tattoo parlor. This guy is very deserving of his HEA what little I know of him so far. I am hoping CU is better so I don't have to write off Dane. I really do like the idea behind the characters for this series. It is refreshing to see something than typical characters.(less)
