I knew when I read that description about a doctor named Ryle I knew I’d want to read this one! I read so many great reviews of this one before I really even knew much about it. I don’t want to say many spoilers here!!! I laughed, I cried, I want to throw things.
We are introduced to Ryle who is a doctor. He is a smoking hot doctor too! Oh my. So sexy and so adorable and so handsome. But he’s also not as perfect as everyone thinks. He has a dark side.
We also meet Lily. Cool sappy Lily. I really liked her. She was strong willed yet also was maybe too compassionate.
When Lily and Ryle meet is a disaster of sorts, but a good one for the most part.Kind of. They end up meeting more than once and are thrown into each others lives. We also meet another guy named Atlas. I really was torn. I liked them both so much. Even through Ryle’s hardships I still felt for him. And Atlas, Oh Atlas baby.
This book was pretty good. And especially hot. But it was also so heartbreaking. I don’t even know. People were saying how torn up they were after reading it and I get it now. It really has the feels alright. It makes you so happy, and so thrilled but it also then breaks your heart into pieces. Yes, it’s worth the read. It’s soooo worth all the emotions. Even though it’s heartbreaking, I think it all fell into place on how it’s supposed to be. Just one wild ride alright.
Overall: All I can really say is WOW. Just Wow.
Cover: Love it!!! It doesn’t give anything away, yet it’s neat.

We are introduced to Jonah who comes from a big family. Tons of brothers and sisters, and a mom. And a dad who passed away not too long ago. His mom is kind of in a depression funk and he’s been trying to do the best he can helping out around the house and with his siblings. He has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders.
We are also introduced to Vivi. Vivi is carefree and wild. But she wasn’t always this way. She suffers from depression and anxiety and has been through alot and still is struggling.
A lot of secrets along the way and a lot of family drama and romance. I liked Jonah’s family. I just loved the family angle. I also liked Jonah and Vivi together but I found each one a bit boring alone.
I liked this one but I felt like I just wasn’t into the plot, because if I’m reading, I usually try not to read books about anxiety and depression since it just makes me sad.
Overall: I’m still a big fan of Lord’s book even if I didn’t love this one as much as the rest. I’ll be looking forward to the next book that’s written! I’d say this one is probably more of a 3.5 cupcake rating for me.
Cover: The cover is really neat. I do like the cover a lot. I like how its artistic.
My Thoughts: When I first read the summary of this one, I was excited. A world where nobody can hear? And nobody has for a while. This really intrigueMy Thoughts: When I first read the summary of this one, I was excited. A world where nobody can hear? And nobody has for a while. This really intrigued me. I needed to know how Mead was going to capture this.
I started off reading Soundless with a bang. I really enjoyed the beginning. Learning about Fei and her sister and how they get by. How they live their lives and on top of that how it all works. We also get introduced to a boy named Le Wei (was that his name)? I really liked him. I liked how tough but yet how sweet he was. I loved how he wanted to protect his father and even Fei.
As I got about halfway through the book, I started to not really want to read it anymore. It just stopped really pulling me in. Maybe its my reading mood, maybe once I knew more about why they couldn’t hear I just wasn’t as involved anymore. I don’t know. I liked this one but didn’t love it. If you like Mead’s previous works, go for it. Give this one a chance and tell me what you think.
Overall: This one really pulled me in towards the beginning than it just went downhill for me. I liked it but didn’t love it. And I just wasn’t that involved with any of the characters either. It was just okay to me.
Cover: I do like the cover! Almost has a mysterious feel to it, yet it’s all out there.
My Thoughts: Seriously I LOVED THE GLITTERING COURT!!! One of the best books I’ve read this year! I can see this becoming a favorite series of mine! IMy Thoughts: Seriously I LOVED THE GLITTERING COURT!!! One of the best books I’ve read this year! I can see this becoming a favorite series of mine! I just loved it and enjoyed every second of it.
The Glittering Court reminded me a bit of the Selection series, maybe just how it was written. I loved the scenes, I felt like I was right there. I loved the plot. I loved the story-line. I loved the romance.
We are introduced to Adelaide who is a countess and has led a somewhat luxurious and rich life. She’s never had to worry about much or being taken care of. But when her family wants to marry her off, she figures out another plan. She will take the place over of somewhat else and join the Glittering Court. Honestly, it’s kind of the same situation as getting married off, but generally the girl gets to pick the best candidate.
Well, Adelaide has a hand up on most of the girls. She’s been trained on how to act like a real lady. She’s got most of it down, except for a few things. Like her hair! HAHAHAHA
Gosh, I want to say so much about this one, but I’m having trouble without spoilers! I really liked a few of the guys in this story. But I really liked Cedric. He was just so nice but yet charming. He had good morals. He had a good head on his shoulders. And he was just so sweet!
I also liked her friends. A few of them but each girl was so distinct and different from one another. But yet they all fit together.
The Glittering Court was a sweet and charming book. I don’t know rather to say it’s really a romance or fantasy. Made me feel like both I guess.
Overall: This is a rather vague and short review. I didn’t want to give away actual things that go down in the book! Lets just say I loved the characters, the plot, and the romance. A few times I teared up, I laughed, and mostly I swooned!
Cover: Love it! Kind of a dark yet intriguing cover!

And then the second one I liked to an extent, so I was really happy to keep reading and see if I liked the third one, this one. Honestly, I did like it but I didn’t love it.
We are back with Gemma and Hallie and their worlds are about to crash. They are still fighting from before but now they find out that their parents are planning to be married. This does the unthinkable, makes them team up to break up their parents. But is this really the right thing to do?
I think both girls had more feelings in this book but they pushed them to the side, to deal with their parents. Which probably wasn’t the best idea. I also liked all the side characters once again. Honestly, that may have been the better part of the book for me. I didn’t really like that they wanted to break up their parents.
I liked this one, it was a very fast read once I got started. It just flowed along and even though they had revenge on their mind it wasn’t quite like the other books and towards each other.
Overall:Out of all of the books in this series, I think the first one is the best. Maybe because it’s the opening and is more juicy. I liked this one, just wasn’t as sucked in. If you’ve already started the series do read this one!
Cover: Love it even though yellow isn’t my favorite color. These covers all have such beachy cute themes!

Everytime she releases a new book I have to read it quickly! And I really liked Run! However, Run was quite a bit different than her other novels. Which was good in its own unique way.
We are introduced to Bo Dickinson who everyone thinks is a wild child. All the Dickinsons are bad news in their town! But I really liked her from the get go. She was spunky and always stuck up for herself. We also meet Agnes Atwood. She’s the opposite of Bo. She’s a churchgoer goody goody.
Once Bo and Agnes become friends, so much happens. You would never think in a million years they’d get along but they understood each other a lot better than anyone would think!
I usually don’t like chapters that go between now and the past but this one handled it nicely. We see how their friendship grew and we saw how once they ran away how things went. There is also a bit of a romance in Run between Agnes and a certain boy!
I liked learning how both families lived and how different each situation was.
I really liked this one. I didn’t like it quite as much as some of Keplinger’s other ones but this one is more aimed towards friends/family than a romance.
Overall: This definitely felt different than Keplinger’s previous books but not in a bad way. I actually quite enjoyed reading about Agnes and Bo’s friendship and how things happened. I also loved the doggy in the story. I liked seeing how the road trip went and how each girl grew up in their own way. Liked this one. Probably more of a 3.5 for me.
Cover: I like it! I can see each girl looking like that. Its cute!

We are introduced to sisters Scarlett and Tella. Scarlet always has been so protective of Tella. Their father has a habit of punishing them for the most ridiculous things and he’s brutal. They have heard things about Caraval, a place like no other. Stories from their family that they must explore. So, Scarlett has written to the master of Caraval many times with no response. But she finally hears back, finally!
Caraval is a game like no other. It’s a game full of surprises, mysteries, and nobody really knows much about it. Not really. There are stories of course. And the winner gets a wish. Any wish they want. It’s magic. It’s amazing. Scarlett gets an invitation to play along with a guest, which is meant to be her soon to be husband.
Tella and Scarlett go to Caraval and the game starts. It’s crazy. We also meet a few different boys. And the person who organizes it all, Legend. I wasn’t sure what to think about him as we never really know him or who he is. Just stories. And then another boy who I absolutely fell in love with. He was so sweet yet so dangerous. Whoa. Swoony! This one was such a magical beautiful book! I want to tell you all about the games, and all the different great characters. But this is one of those you need to experience yourself so I’m going to keep this review somewhat short.
Overall: Caraval was everything I hoped it to be! It was magical, excruciating at parts, and just plain AWESOME! It will probably be one of my favorites this year!!!
Garber you did everything right!!!!!
Cover: Love it! It fits. It lures you in and doesn't give anything away.
