It was the single most intense book that I've come across in any series. Everything was wrapped up very well. It wasn't tied up in a pretty little package, but it was realistically ended.
I got the happy ending that I was hoping for, but it wasn't all happy and light. There were so many twists and turns that the second I thought I had it figured out, something would happen and my thoughts would do a complete 180 or I'd be proven wrong. I love it. I love books that challenge me. I love books that make me go "wtf?" and read a page or passage again.
I can see where this could be a finale, but I also see where it could be picked up in the future, should Moning want to write more to the series. I think it would make a fantastic series of movies. With the stuff that's coming out of Hollywood, why not give this a chance as a movie? Even a television series would work. If you can make the Vampire Diaries and True Blood television shows, why not Fever?...more
