I love Fool’s Gold, the crazy cast of characters and the Pollyanna type do-good vibe the town stands for. I crave these stories so I can catch up with the people and get wrapped up in new people.
Second, I was just not into this one. I didn’t care for the last one, either. I was hoping the last one was a fluke but 30 or so pages into this one and I was inwardly aching for the series I love so much. This book is better than the last, but still far from my favorite. I didn’t like Zane and could not for the life of me figure out how he was supposed to appeal to me as a hero when he said things like “She was an animal-loving ditz who would bond with a rock if given the chance.” And then proceeds to say she’s “sincere, a patsy.” Gee, be still my beating heart!
I liked Phoebe, she was quirky and sweet…. But both of their stories were odd to me. They didn’t mesh well and there happily ever after was way too fast and not at all believable. I never warmed up to Zane – didn’t get why she was so enamored with a man who grunted his responses and seemed in a terrible mood all the time.
Like the story before this one, it was wrapped up too fast and I’m left with unanswered questions.
The thing that saved this book for me was the side characters and the animals. The steer and Phoebe’s horse had more personality than the hero.
I’m hoping Thrill Me will be better than the first two, because so far this threesome is mediocre at best.

To Tyrell Brown, Victoria Westin is the coldhearted lawyer who has put him through hell on the stand. She has been making him relive his wife’s deathTo Tyrell Brown, Victoria Westin is the coldhearted lawyer who has put him through hell on the stand. She has been making him relive his wife’s death and the heartache he has lived with in the years since she has passed. But on a long flight to France they begin to see past the courtroom over a few drinks and forced togetherness. In the light of day some of the same reservations and hostility resurface. But when they turn up at the same wedding, they hatch a plan to keep bride and groom happy and the fact that they are enemies a secret.
The more acting they do, the more they learn about one another and the more they like.
I really enjoyed this book. I appreciated all the dynamics that made up these complex characters, their families and the many relationships that are woven within. I found it hard to put down and impossible to forget. I am ordering the next books in the series because I was so bummed when this one ended and I am so curious to see what is going on with the others.
Definitely a great read. The story moves nicely and the characters seem real.

This is a series of werewolf serials put into one book. There is a different werewolf pack starring in each book – though you will hear all the pack names woven in and out of the stories, since each pack is aware of the others.
I really liked this series and I think this set is the way to read it. Once I figured out that each story was actually a set of super short series combined to make it one read, I decided that I had lucked out discovering them this way. I think having to read one separately, or while waiting for others to be published would have driven me nuts. I am glad I got to read them in their entirety all at once!
I really enjoyed this take on the werewolf world and the little things that made it unique for me. I liked how each pack was very different in their culture. The only thing they have in common is there werewolf/shape-shifting abilities.
My one problem with this story was the editing. There are some very easy to spot and fix mistakes. One of the bigger ones is that in two separate stories the author calls a main character the wrong name, several times. This confused the heck out of me. I was like “Who is Rhiannon?” “Who is this Nic?” And it caused me to go back and reread – thinking I missed something crucial.
Other than that I was totally immersed in this world and I am going to start her dragon series, next.

She handlesJasmine is a plus sized model on her first real photo shoot when she encounters Mack and Victor – soon she discovers they are were-bears. She handles the surprise like they told her they like cheeseburgers. No big deal at all.
This is a really short story. The plot and the characters aren’t fully developed and then it’s ending – abruptly. I was a little taken aback. I felt like I never got the whole story and that’s a shame because it could have been so much more.
There is a twist at the end during the sex scene that I didn’t seem coming and as much as I like my kink, I didn’t think it fit. It came out of left field, for me, and I think the story would have been better without it. It didn’t feel true to the any of the characters.
I really would have liked a longer more developed story. This one had great potential, but just didn’t live up to the promise.

This is the 2nd book in a 4 part series about Finola a seemingly normal woman and Sebastian the white tiger shape-shifter she has become enamored with. The books are cliffhangers and this one was really had me lost in the story. I groaned out loud when I came to the end!
You get to know the characters a little more, and as you do you get more invested in their story. Both Finola and Sebastian have hidden layers and I have a feeling we are only scratching at the surface so far.
It’s another extremely short read, I raced through it this afternoon. It has me crazy twitchy for the next two – it’s that good. Even though it’s shorty, it is plenty steamy, suspenseful and sexy – though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish each book was full length. I’m loving it too much for it to end so quickly!
I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Finola Malley is having a really bad night. She just broke up with her boyfriend, gets called into work and then gets attacked by some men and approached by a white tiger in the parking garage. It kind of makes your bad days look good in comparison, doesn’t it?
When all is said and done she finds herself face to face with a breathtaking and very naked man. The attraction is instant and puts a serious effort into making a bad night end really well.
I blew through this book in about an hour… maybe a little more. To say this is a short story is an understatement. It’s more like an appetizer than a short story, though I am still hungry for the main course, I am happily satisfied while I wait. It was a delicious first course.
After reading this book, I immediately had to purchase the next one – I am dying to read the next chapter in Finola and Sebastian’s life. I discovered that their story has been divided up in to 4 stories. Had the other two been available I would have snatched them up as well, but it looks like I have a month or so to wait. Uhhhhggg!
There was a what I thought a kind of big editing boo boo, but I am hoping it will be easily fixed otherwise I found this tale practically perfect.
This is an enjoyable sexy read and will leave you wanting more.

She has a best friend, Iris, but manages to keep her life as a champion figure skater a secret even from her. She leads a quiet life, like she’s on the outside looking in.
Troy a local high school teacher and also a friend of Iris – never paid much attention to Grace, until one Halloween night, then again one New Year’s Eve. He elects himself her fun coach and soon discovers they have a lot more in common that he would have thought – and he likes Grace. A lot.
Grace and Troy have fun. They have chemistry. And when a bit of Grace’s past creeps up unexpectedly their relationship is put to the test, again and again. There are laughs, there are tears. There is heat, there is romance. I keep thinking one of these days these stories are going to get old or repetitive to me, but this Thunder Point series is having the opposite effect. It’s getting better and better with each book and character. Cementing her place, ever permanently, in my automatic buy list. The stories are engaging me more and more, and at the end of this one I was so mad to find out I had to wait until July to read the next in the series!! The set up for the next story has me crazy with anticipation. It seems unnecessarily cruel!
