This is a series of werewolf serials put into one book. There is a different werewolf pack starring in each book – though you will hear all the pack names woven in and out of the stories, since each pack is aware of the others.
I really liked this series and I think this set is the way to read it. Once I figured out that each story was actually a set of super short series combined to make it one read, I decided that I had lucked out discovering them this way. I think having to read one separately, or while waiting for others to be published would have driven me nuts. I am glad I got to read them in their entirety all at once!
I really enjoyed this take on the werewolf world and the little things that made it unique for me. I liked how each pack was very different in their culture. The only thing they have in common is there werewolf/shape-shifting abilities.
My one problem with this story was the editing. There are some very easy to spot and fix mistakes. One of the bigger ones is that in two separate stories the author calls a main character the wrong name, several times. This confused the heck out of me. I was like “Who is Rhiannon?” “Who is this Nic?” And it caused me to go back and reread – thinking I missed something crucial.
Other than that I was totally immersed in this world and I am going to start her dragon series, next.

She handlesJasmine is a plus sized model on her first real photo shoot when she encounters Mack and Victor – soon she discovers they are were-bears. She handles the surprise like they told her they like cheeseburgers. No big deal at all.
This is a really short story. The plot and the characters aren’t fully developed and then it’s ending – abruptly. I was a little taken aback. I felt like I never got the whole story and that’s a shame because it could have been so much more.
There is a twist at the end during the sex scene that I didn’t seem coming and as much as I like my kink, I didn’t think it fit. It came out of left field, for me, and I think the story would have been better without it. It didn’t feel true to the any of the characters.
I really would have liked a longer more developed story. This one had great potential, but just didn’t live up to the promise.

I was aching to know what happened next.
This is the 2nd book in a 4 part series about Finola a seemingly normal woman and Sebastian the white tiger shape-shifter she has become enamored with. The books are cliffhangers and this one was really had me lost in the story. I groaned out loud when I came to the end!
You get to know the characters a little more, and as you do you get more invested in their story. Both Finola and Sebastian have hidden layers and I have a feeling we are only scratching at the surface so far.
It’s another extremely short read, I raced through it this afternoon. It has me crazy twitchy for the next two – it’s that good. Even though it’s shorty, it is plenty steamy, suspenseful and sexy – though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish each book was full length. I’m loving it too much for it to end so quickly!
I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Finola Malley is having a really bad night. She just broke up with her boyfriend, gets called into work and then gets attacked by some men and approached by a white tiger in the parking garage. It kind of makes your bad days look good in comparison, doesn’t it?
When all is said and done she finds herself face to face with a breathtaking and very naked man. The attraction is instant and puts a serious effort into making a bad night end really well.
I blew through this book in about an hour… maybe a little more. To say this is a short story is an understatement. It’s more like an appetizer than a short story, though I am still hungry for the main course, I am happily satisfied while I wait. It was a delicious first course.
After reading this book, I immediately had to purchase the next one – I am dying to read the next chapter in Finola and Sebastian’s life. I discovered that their story has been divided up in to 4 stories. Had the other two been available I would have snatched them up as well, but it looks like I have a month or so to wait. Uhhhhggg!
There was a what I thought a kind of big editing boo boo, but I am hoping it will be easily fixed otherwise I found this tale practically perfect.
This is an enjoyable sexy read and will leave you wanting more.

Kane is the keeperIt feels like forever since I have visited the Lords of the Underworld and the tone of this story suited my reading mood perfectly.
Kane is the keeper of the Demon of Disaster. All the Lords of the Underworld carry their Demons but Kane has really been kind kept on the outside of things do to the nature of his beast. His Demon acts up and causes more damage during situations the others are trying to clean up. He has spent the last several weeks being tortured and raped in hell. He gets rescued by Josephina, a Fae, who extracts a promise from him that he finds impossible to keep.
If this is your first look into the Underworld, you really do need to start at book one. So much happens in each story and in this series that I feel if anyone started out of order they’d be lost. I loved Kane and Josephina, or Tink as he affectionately calls her. I loved their friendship and uncovering the layers to Tink’s crazy life. But what I really enjoyed about this book was the glimpses of stories to come and the way everything melded together. There are a lot of surprises and a few twists, too.
I adore the Lords of the Underworld and their women… and this book was an excellent contribution to a favorite series!

But when a big wolf thwarts her plans, she is forced to see her new life in a new way. Travis has been a lone wolf for a long time. He keeps helping Neva and can’t seem to leave her on her own. The two of them, together, discover a new way to live.
This book started out very exciting but somewhere along the middle of the book it lost its momentum and pull for me. The whys of the evil twin and her nefarious plans dragged out too long. And at the end, the rescue mission also seemed oddly timed to me. I’m not sure if I had loved ones who I feared for their lives, I would stop at a salon for a hairdo, shop, eat, and then stay the night in a hotel. It just didn’t jive.
I also had some confusion as to what a party scene Neva thinks about where she encounters a wolf. I’m not sure what that was all about.
This is the first in a series and even though things could have been tied up in the end, they weren't. I am assuming some of the characters that were introduced in this book will get a bigger role in the next books. I am interested in reading more in the future… but I hope the next books are a wee bit tidier in their plot.

Jess runs a highly successful wedding planning business which the family believes it is so she can have her way with the grooms, the groomsmen and any other male in the wedding parties. But Jess is a secret romantic and who is hoping for her own Happily Ever After while making sure Houston Brides get theirs.
In this book, her mother is getting married and wants Jess to plan the wedding. All the while Jess has issues in her private life that include a demon hunter she’s wildly attracted to (since she’s a demon that’s not good) and a mysterious someone who is out to get her.
I have mixed feelings about this story. I like the premise, even if it was familiar, and I loved the characters. What I didn’t like was the comedy. Some of it was funny, but most of the time I felt like it was overkill. The silliness was overdone to me.
I want to read the next book in the series as this book did its job in capturing my attention and keeping it. The story flowed nicely and the characters are pretty unforgettable. I think this was a fun book and a decent start to a series, I just wasn’t blown away.

Following her into a seedy hotel the cheating wife disappears before their eyes in one moment then reappears to Cait as a ghost in the next. Suddenly Cait’s simple case of infidelity ties in with the local PD’s case of murder. She and Jason are asked to help with another “Full Moon Case” with her sexy ex-husband and current boyfriend, Sam. She even finds herself seeking the help of her first love, Morin.
I love the characters that grace the pages of this series. They are so vivid, they have so much intensity and I have a feeling we haven’t even gotten to the heart of anyone, yet. I feel like there are still layers to unravel and I can’t wait for each reveal.
Cait’s relationship with everyone in this series is sort of fragile. And now that she is sober and trying to embrace her true self and mend those ties with those that are crucial to her, I feel like things are going to get more interesting and exciting. Which considering these books are already at the top of my rating scale that says a lot.
The paranormal mystery in this book started off similar to the last book in that it was a Demon in a hotel room. But that is where the similarities start and end. It gets complex and creepy. I adore the witchcraft, the paranormal characters and aspects of these books. It only enhances everything.
This book was an emotional rollercoaster and I was crying at the end of it. Not the pretty little tears that silently fall down your cheeks, but the ugly uncontrollable ones followed by the gut wrenching sobs. I was truly moved.
This series is amazing so far. I am ever eager and anxious for more! Love, love, love Sam and Cait!

Then one day sJamie Farrow has been obvious in her attraction to the Beta of her pack, Dante Garcea. She has all but stripped naked and attacked him. Then one day she decides to pick up her ego and quit throwing herself at a man who isn’t interested – then suddenly Dante isn’t happy about not having her undivided attention. But Jamie has a few big secrets she’s keeping from her pack, and that makes her think getting involved with Dante could get complicated.
I love wolf/shifter stories and this one is excellent. The dynamics of the pack and its people are a first-rate back drop to the love story that is the obvious star. I got so wrapped up in the characters that I found myself crying a bit in empathy as one pack member repeatedly suffers heartache. Jamie and Dante are not easy characters to love, but once you do you find yourself feeling loyalty towards these two stubborn wolves. And the sex, by Goddess the sex, it is as raw and gritty as their personalities and fanflippintastic!
This is the second book in the Phoenix Pack Series. I admit I haven’t read the first one, and if it is half as good as this second book, I definitely feel like I am missing out. Luckily while reading I did not, however, feel like I was lost. The author gives enough background information to bring us up to date. Had this book not been so good, I could have easily gone without ever reading the first. But this book was that good and I want to read the first book now, I want all the detail that started this series out. I really enjoyed it.
So why only 4 stars? Some of the dialogue and name calling between Dante and Jamie felt really disingenuous to me like the author was trying too hard to make the characters voices tough. It was over the top for me, and not at all necessary.
Other than that this story was fabulous. I will be reading the first one to kill the time while I pine for the third!

When her mentor turns up missing, Sam pulls Cait in on the case. Suddenly Cait is showing Sam another part of the world he didn’t know existed and another part of her.
All I can say is that my 2 complaints are 1) It wasn’t longer and 2) I don’t have book 2 to dive into next. I devoured this book cover to cover. Cait is a complex heroine and once Sam starts uncovering all her layers he realizes how little he knew about his wife and I have the feeling we still have a few more secrets to discover. Their attraction is almost lethal in its combustibility. The pages practically pulse with their passion.
And then there is Morin… a magical mystery man. He’s part of Cait’s past and you know he’s going to be popping up in future books to show her the way. Cait is one lucky lady.
This was a quick read and the start to what I am hoping is a long running series. I am addicted to the characters already and you can bet I will be buying Lost Souls when it comes out in June. I would highly recommend to fans of paranormal romance.
