I guess I'd put this around a 3 1/2 stars. I love time travel... I think most of you know that. This heroine did a few things in the book that kept me shaking my head. *spoiler* The beginning bugged me with Caty's willingness to jump in time with little more than an invite. Sure, Connor was all yummy and kilted, and in a fantasy you have to go with it, but I had a hard time buying into her jump in time. Loved the fae aspects of the story and think that I'll pick up other books in the series to see how they pan out. And the ending was well played out. Well, except the conflict that I'd have liked to see between Caty and Richard. I was looking for a kick-ass fight there, but didn't get it. ...more

In his world, a good vampVampire hunter, Joshua Kempski spends his life avenging the death of his sister Jenny who’s life was cut short by a vampire. In his world, a good vampire is a dead vampire, end of story. That is until he meets, Richard von Schaumburg. Mild mannered, tea-drinking vampires didn’t exist, or did they?
After his attempt to take Richard’s life fails, Josh finds himself sitting across from the sexy vampire experiencing an array of unwanted emotions. Josh and Richard begin to uncover their past, and motivations in life, until Josh realizes that everything he has been led to believe about vampires were fabricated to foster hate. Like humans, there were good vampires and evil ones. When Josh decides to break away from the society of vampire hunters, his exit isn’t met with acceptance. While Josh and Richard fall in love, Joshua’s old friends fight to get him back. As the story unfolds, Josh learns who his friends really are, and just how evil humans can be.
The slayer falls in love with the vampire… sound like an old theme, think again. A Different Breed might begin with a familiar theme, but it ends with an explosive bang. Ms. Martinez weaves in passion, fantasy and love with such a comfortable flair you forget that you’re reading a fiction novel. The emotions of both Josh and Richard are simply palpable. A leader in M/M romance, Angel Martinez has yet another hit to add to her list. ...more

I loved Sins of the FleSeldom is the second book better than the first in any series. At least in my opinion, but this one is one of those rare gems. I loved Sins of the Flesh, and really enjoy Caridad Pineiro's voice, so that being said I knew I'd enjoy this long-awaited read.
Football jock Jesse Bradford bribed his way into an a mad doctors lab to find a way to regain what he lost when his football days were cut short by a rare bone disease. Instead of a cure, he found himself no more than a caged lab rat at the mercy of mad men. Liliana Carrera MD and sister-in-law to Catarina from Sins of the Flesh, is the only doctor finding some success in reversing what the mad scientist have inflicted on their patients. When Jesse suddenly appears with a group of men asking for her help to cure the uncontrollable bone growth all over his body, Liliana engages her mind and heart to help Jesse.
It's a race to find a cure to help keep Jesse alive. When Liliana learns that the very scientists who poisoned Jesse and Catarina are using her, she risks her life to help the many other patients exposed.
Ms. Pineiro did a fantastic job weaving science, love and a surprising spiritual twist to Stronger than Sin. Page after page is filled with new twists and unexpected turns. Liliana and Jesse spark with passion that made this reader blush. My one and only regret was not seeing Mick and Catarina from Sins of the Flesh. But with the door open for more books in this series, I have a feeling we might have a chance to see all these characters again. A must read for all paranormal romance readers. ...more

I wish I'd bought this in paperback however and not on my nook... only because I like to go back and read some of the side stories over before the next book begins, and this one has a lot of them. So fair warning. But my local store didn't have the paperback and I HAD to read this ASAP! This one was right up there with Burning Alive (my favorite in the series)!
I really can't say much without giving things away, but I will say that anyone who loves paranormal romance that isn't reading this series is seriously missing out! ...more

Ms. Huber splashes into the world of Vampyre romance with one amazing book. Mouthwatering, hot and not for the timid. The chemistry between Alex and Cole is electricity between the pages. These multi-dimensional characters will have you cheering in their corner and holding your breath for them to come together. The timing and pace of each scene is spot on. Author Catherine Bybee writes a complicated story, one in5 Stars Affair de Couer
5 Tea Cups - Happily Ever After Reviews:
4 Stars from Romantic Times:
Author Catherine Bybee writes a complicated story, one involving ancient curses, time travel, historical culture clash get rid of this comma and plenty of sexual tension. But the author keeps the action and emotions straightforward by investing in several choice characters with complementary plot lines. The danger the time traveling druidess Myra MacCoinnich is in is well-balanced with her experience in contemporary times and her romance with Officer Todd Blakely. Bybee makes an interesting choice when she preserves Myra’s values about sex and marriage (and keeps the heroine interested in returning to 1576) rather than immediately solving the story in a simple manner. However, Myra’s hesitations allow Bybee to showcase the dynamic secondary character, Lizzy McCallister, who aids Myra in navigating through the present day and modern romance. The story improves even further when Myra, Todd, Lizzy and Lizzy’s son straddle centuries. Although there are a few lags when the narrative switches to highlight Witch Grainna and her minions, Silent Vows is buoyed up with mysticism and Myra and Todd’s scorching encounters. For being the stuff of folklore, the storyline is surprisingly convincing and the ending is a perfect set up for the trilogy's last installment. You won't want to miss it! When an injured, and naked man is brought into the emergency room where Janet works that last thing she is expecting is to end up going home with him and getting into the middle of some odd turf war.
Max has been hunting for Gormon for some time now. The rogue has been turning people and killing and has to be stopped. Max and his pack are hunting this monster and little does Max know that when he ends up in the hospital that he will meet his mate and find the resolution to the Gormon problem
Catherine Bybee has created a shadow world of rich characters and a vibrant storyline. The characters are endearing and will tug at your heart while you find yourself immersed in this fantastic story.
Nights and Weekends Reviews:
Max Ritter has woken up in some pretty strange places, but never in a hospital—naked. Three days out of the month, he hunts rogue werewolves who stalk new prey to add to their packs. The last encounter left him unconscious for more than a few minutes, which concerns him—but he has no time to worry about it right now. When he spots Gorman in the hospital, eyeing the pretty nurse who took care of him, Max knows that she’ll be his next victim, unless he can stop him—and he has no intention of letting Gorman have Janet.
As a nurse, Janet O’Brien is rarely flustered by a naked man, but Max is different. When he invites her out to breakfast after the graveyard shift, she surprises herself by saying yes. Plus, she’s curious as to why he was found on the street, naked and unconscious. He’s too clean and refined to be homeless, but he won’t give her any serious answers to her questions.
After one kiss, Max discovers that Janet is his soul mate. Now it’s imperative that he do everything he can to keep her out of the clutches of his rival, Gorman.
Satisfying and suspenseful, Before the Moon Rises has earned the distinction of being one of the top e-books I’ve come across in my journey to find the very best that the Internet has to offer. Author Catherine Bybee has pulled together a well-written and plausible paranormal read in fewer than 100 pages. I found it refreshing that I didn’t have to question the characters’ motives—or become irritated with them because they’re so unlikable.
With his sense of humor and protective nature, Max makes a gratifying hero. He’s never cocky or controlling (two traits I find highly unfavorable in a male character). Janet is smart and pretty—and, best of all, she doesn’t do those stupid things that make me want to scream and throw the book at the wall, like so many of the female leads in past stories I’ve read.
With just enough ambiguity woven into the beginning and throughout the story, Before the Moon Rises will hold your attention right up until the last page—and, before you know it, you’ll have read the whole book in one sitting. I urge you to pick this one up. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. ...more
