Beautiful wording, beautiful descriptions, and a beautiful story.
There are four POVs in this story (and I swear, even though it sounds like a lot, it doesn't seem overloaded in the least!) and with each character we get a look into why they are the way they are. No two characters had the same upbringing and all are dealing with theirs in their own way.
Your heart will tug for each of them as their insecurities and defenses are revealed and you will fall in love with them all.
Err, maybe not all of them. I understand Aubrey, but I'm still not her biggest fan ;)
But Kingsley, she's a bitch and she's the kind of friend you'd want to stand beside you. She may act like she doesn't care for you, but if she likes you, you know she's the one that will have your back first. She'll protect her friends fiercely. I absolutely adore her. She's just her, doesn't care what anyone thinks and even though some of her actions may seem extreme to others, there is a lot to her that I feel we still have yet to see that has made her who she is. (and Lord I'm hoping for a story for her and a certain tattoo'd HOTTIE! *swoon*)
Love Natalia and Samson, the chemistry between them is intense and literally jumps from your e-reader. And I have to say, while I LOVED Natalia...Samson was my favorite character. Not because he was gorgeous and sweet, but because of his faults and the way he bared his soul. I could go into so much more about these two, but I want you to read it and experience it all for yourselves.

^^I think I got enough loves in there!
What a perfect story for Evan! I fell for him in Bouquet Toss and I was so excited he was getting his own story, but I had no idea it would be anything like this!
I loved Kate and Evan together, their relationship was a mix of sweet, hot, and sassy (on Kate's part) and all came together for one hell of an adventure. Definitely not a perfect relationship by any means and there will be times you yell at both of them, but they have a perfect love for each other.
WARNING YOU NOW LADIES: You will swoon. And not just swoon...but SAAAWOON! I actually sighed out loud at one part because I love Evan so much and my husband looked like he was going to go find the guy that gave me that dopey look on my face.
If you haven't read Bouquet Toss, I suggest you do so AND THEN BUY AND READ THIS BOOK! (less)

Lost To You is an incredible look into the beginnings of Christian and Elizabeth, I'd been so excited to know how they began, but I hadn't been expecting this story A.L. Jackson had for us.
I fell in love with Christian all over again, but in a completely different way. I loved his younger, arrogant self, the way he cherished his friendship with Elizabeth, and the way he came to the crashing realization that he was in love with her.
Elizabeth...you have to applaud her, I mean seriously. She worked so hard to get where she was, and she wasn't going to let a man like Christian stop her from achieving her goals, no matter what he made her feel. I loved that while Elizabeth was sweet, and innocent, she wasn't naive and doesn't play the damsel.
And A.L. Jackson....oh my word, I can't begin to describe what she makes you feel in this book. She has a talent for bringing out emotions, and I could literally feel every one of them throughout the book. The love, the passion, the adoration and even the heartbreak gripped me. (like...literally. I was sitting in Starbucks clutching at my chest during the heartbreak)
Sometimes, with prequels, I feel like the original story overshadows the prequel during your reading. And I'll admit, because A.L. Jackson's books are SO strong, I was worried this would happen. I can assure you it does not! Never once was I like OH BUT THIS HAPPENS LATER! I'm already thinking this because I know that this happens in Take This Regret. *shakes head* Not. Once. Lost To You stands up on it's own and takes forefront to everything you already know about Christian and Elizabeth. But let me tell you, the ending...which is beautiful (that's putting it mildly) is the perfect set-up for Take This Regret.
If you love A.L. Jackson's work, I can assure you this will be a treat for you. If you haven't read any of her work...we need to educate you...like right now.

Oh holy Nate's intensity! SO. HOT. That man is giving Hawk Delgado a run for his money as my book husband and THAT is saying something!
Jules and Nate's chemistry literally jumps out of your e-reader and I spent the entire time fanning myself, swooning, choking up...and can we go back to fanning myself?
What I love about Kristen Proby's writing is that she makes you feel everything her character's are feeling and I found myself so caught up in Jules and Nate's secret affair right from the prologue *which, by the way, best prologue ever* that I pouted for a good hour when we had to leave to do errands half way through the book. I didn't want to stop, couldn't get enough and was seriously bummed when the book ended.
I loved Jules, she was strong and independent, which is refreshing in a heroine...but not to a fault, thank God. She trusted and loved Nate enough that she willingly gave herself over to him and let him take control of their relationship.
And Nate...what's not to love about Nate? He's the definition of intense and raw, masculine power. And yet, he is incredibly sweet. Lethal combination...and Jules comes first for him in everything. I'm about to be super vague because I don't want to spoil the awesomness that is this next bit...but. There's a certain part in the book where we get to see that intensity and power at it's peak and somehow the entire time he is fully in control of himself and making sure he's taking care of Jules first...and let me say...that entire scene and the one directly following it will have you asking your boyfriend/husband to PLEASE be Nate McKenna - at least for the night.
I'm so rambling...I'm sorry! I just finished this book and am still worked up by it, and had to write about it now while I still felt this way.
In short and without ramble: HOT. SWEET. AMAZING READ.
This book was incredible, definitely my favorite from the With Me in Seattle series so far and I can't wait to see where Kristen takes the next book.
