I don't understand why the girls in vampire books fall in love with these weird mysterious guys that they don't even know. The main character is fun though, and so is Alaric (even though his name is not very original - TVD). I would really like it if in the end Meena doesn't choose the vampire, although I am not sure how the author's publisher would like this resolution.(less)

The story line was fun, and it managed to be different then the other books while still keeping Heather in the dorm. It was nice to get know Cooper's family and Tania better. I know some people felt that Heather was sucking up to Tania, but it didn't feel that way to me, it was just Heather being too nice like she always is. I also like all the little things about Heather - her obsession with reality TV, the way she talks about her pets, her window shopping habits - these are the things that we all do and can relate to.
Then there are a couple things that bugged me a little (and have bothered be through all of the previous books to). I hate the song lyrics the way I hate poetry in books, and song lyrics almost always read like bad poetry. Even songs that I love often look ridiculous in print. The continuity was kind of confusing, the other books were written five years ago, but things like Kate Middleton's wedding dress was brought up even though only a couple months had passed in book time. Maybe the other books were set in the future?
Overall, it was cute and fun and a quick read.
P.S. Am I the only person who thinks bagels with cream cheese and bacon sounds terrifying?(less)
