Greg Boyd addresses what life is like to live each day, each moment with Christ. Its not a practice of being aware but being awake and present WITH God not just OF God. Boyd backs up his points with scripture. He then encourages change with applicable exercises that help to guide and educate the reader on this practice of being with God.
This book has put words to what my heart has been trying to articulate all my years as a Christian. After reading it once I am now on my second read, this time slower to truly absorb what this book offers.
Boyd addresses the confusion with New Age practices vs Christian meditation. At the end of this book Boyd points out the differences between the New Age mind set of being "one with life" and the Christian practice of being with God moment by moment.
Whether you are a Christian or not I believe this book is more than worth while. It is one I will come back to again and again....more
