That is part of my motivation as well. My husband and I love the back country and like nothing better than to pack into the mountains with a string of mules trailing behind! Historical novels seemed like a natural extension of that personal direct experience.

Thanks for the invitation. I enjoyed reading your profile. My own love of horses was part of my motivation to write historical novels--so the characters can travel on horseback.
