Ðɑηηɑ Ever since I was a little girl I LOVED reading. When I was 4-6 I loved African myths and some fairytales, and from then on I started reading actual books and my love grew stronger and harder to break. I love reading.

Contessa My dad used to read to me everyday when he got home from work. It made me love books more than anything!

I did too. I just flat out refused to touch a book until 2008. Thanks to the Cirque Du Freak series I found in my school library I became a huge reading fan.

My class was in the library for something and I got board and started wondering and found the books, I was like "I'll give it a try" I loved the books and then on I have read books.

Neena Yes, as a little girl I used to love reading...we used to have few kid's magazines subscripitions at home..and I was crazy about kids magazines, books, comic books etc....but I guess the love of reading is really in genes....I got it from my mom I think......I have seen her completely lost in books unaware of the the world around her....

Zinnia Rose I might as well have been born with a book in my hand. According to my mother, I would sit and look at books from the age of two -- but obviously, I couldn't read them then. In any case I've always loved books, and I've been reading from the moment I was able to, which would've been probably age four or five.

A love of books isn't something that runs in my family, either. In fact I'm the only one that has a passion for them, and barely anyone else in my family even LIKES to read. O.o Crazy, right? How can one NOT love books?

I can never get enough. There are so many books, yet so little time.

I can relate. The only person in my life that reads is my grandmother and we don't even have the same taste in books. She likes romance and I can't stand them, thier to predictable for me. My mom has this collection of about 15 or so Stephen King books that she hadn't even touched since she got them. I want to read them so badly but she won't even let me touch them. I've told her when she dies those books are mine, she told me that she was going to write a Will and leave them to her dog LOL I told her it's not hard to seal from a dog. =)

That must be so tempting, those poor books just sitting there, unread... Books need to be read! I'd just sneak 'em into my room and read 'em anyway. x)

I'd leave all my books to my puppy I reckon, because there's probably just as high a chance that she'll read them as anyone else in my family giving them a go. O.o

Savannah-Jenn As a kid I loved reading but around 10 years old I started disliking to read and I didn't read as much until I was like 12 or 13 now I'm back to loving to read

message 16: by Donna (new)

Donna Always loved to read. My parents would go Food shopping and leave me at the library every Thursday night. I loved the Children's room and the ability to pick my own form of entertainment.
I later joined the Library staff as a page (Putting away books) at a dollar/ hr. at the age of 13 and worked there throughout college. Later went on for my Masters in Library Science from Simmons College and have been selling Content to Libraries for 35 years.
I have had as many as 5000 books in my house but with many home moves, now down to about 500. I love my ereader too but the physical book is still my fav.
