I've voted for Psychiatry/madness - I've got One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on my Kindle - a book I've been meaning to read for years.....

I voted Western because I have not read a western for many many years!

Jonathan I voted Poetry becaused I never seem to finish Poetry collections, usually just dip into them when the mood takes. I've got Allen Ginsberg's 'Reality Sandwiches' on my Kindle and suggest that?

Liz I too hadn't read a Western for many years until recently. I recommend Patrick De Witt's 'The Sisters Brothers' if you decide to go West!

I'm voting Psychiatry for next month, I bought second hand copy of The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath a couple of months back. I read in my teens but want to re-read.

Nancyspain It was a toss up between psychiatry/madness and poetry but I came down on the side of the former. I will watch with interest to see what people would read if that is what is selected. Can someone tell me what chemical fiction is? That is not a genre I am aware of. Thanks.

I wondered that myself. I decided it was like romeo & Juliet but with acid's & alkalies. :o)

I voted Psychiatry/madness I could read the 'Bell Jar' again, it's been years. Also 'Finding Sara' (a new release) by Nancy DeMarco, is a psychological thriller. Just kindled it this week - a hard to put down read.

Craig Brennan I'm reading catch 22 at the moment and it will probably take me into April.

message 13: by Infinite (new)

Infinite I would vote but out of that list I can't really see a genre I'm interested in!!

The genre challenge is an opportunity to try something you wouldn't normally read ;)

message 15: by Louise (new)

Louise I voted psychiatry madness, as think its could be very interesting.

message 16: by Susan (new)

Susan I've had The Sisters Brothers on my shelf for months....that's why I keep voting for Western!!

message 17: by Bill (new)

Bill I've voted for westerns for the past three or four challenges. Eventually, it'll be the only category left and it'll probably be a safe vote.. ;0)

I voted war. I fancy Small Wars by Sadie Jones by Sadie Jones or Black Mamba Boy by Nadifa Mohamed by Nadifa Mohamed. Looks like Psychiatry/Madness is going to win. Must be something among the 100 odd kindles I already possess that will fit the bill. Read The Bell Jar last year....brilliant.
