Rich It was a toss up between the ability to travel through time or morph my appearance. I would love to be able to change into different things like maybe a bird and go flying but traveling through time and being able to see the past and future first hand won out.

message 2: by Catherine (new)

Catherine it was a toss up for me too! same things! I would not want to read peoples' minds, nor be calirvoyant! I love surprises too much! and I already am a genius! lol :)

message 3: by MsMiz (Tina) (new)

MsMiz (Tina) I figure if I had a genius level IQ, I could figure out how to travel through time!!

message 4: by Ruby (new)

Ruby Hollyberry What I would vote for would definitely be to be able to fly or levitate really well.

message 5: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life I have to say ever since enjoying X-men and Mystique's character I wouldn't mind being able to change my appearance. But in a way I feel like that would be a lazy ability like turning invisible, going out of body, mind control, sort of abilities are. And I call those lazy cause for the majority of people they would use those abilities to spy on, sneak around and control other people in a heart beat. So if it were up there I would love to have the ability to freeze time/temporal statis or have Telekinesis. Something that isn't all that invasive and I would have to work at. But would be useful too.

message 6: by Denise (new)

Denise time travel, hands down!

message 7: by Alysha DeShaé (new)

Alysha DeShaé Read minds - hands down! While there are a few things in the past I wouldn't mind going back to, if I had the ability to read minds, those events wouldn't have happened the way they did. Also, how awesome would it be to stand in front of a crowd giving a speech and starting off with, "I know what you're thinking. You don't want to be here because *insert three reasons picked directly from the minds of your audience*." Then you keep your eyes open for the people you freak out the most! :-p

Mostly, though, this would be useful in determining who is lying to you. Although getting presents would suck if you see what they're getting you before you get it. :-/

message 8: by Raeleen (new)

Raeleen Lemay I would have said time travel but that can be VERY DANGEROUS. So I picked morph my appearance, because I'm always so jealous of Mystique when I watch X-Men.

message 9: by Abilene (new)

Abilene I would choose mind reading. That way I could read the mind of a genius and people who travel through time. :D

message 10: by Mark (new)

Mark time travel every time. How fabulous to see some of the great wonders of the past, walk through the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Browse in the Library at Alexandria and then pop back further and take a well camouflaged walk amidst some dinosaurs

message 11: by Liam (new)

Liam Johnstone I voted for Clairvoyance. The crystal ball would be a little annoying, but think of the things you could learn!

message 12: by Andreas (new)

Andreas Mindreading, clearly. Even if Time travel has its advantages, being able to read people's mind effectively gives you access to all their knowledge, and a powerful tool to spy on and manipulate people.

Just sit in a university library and listen in to people to absorb everything! Also you could annoy James Randi.

I would like being able to fly though. I suppose you could simulate a healing factor using body morphing too.

message 13: by Kayla (new)

Kayla Beck I did not even hesitate in choosing "the ability to morph your physical appearance". However, if I had it, Batman or Superman would probably have to come after me. I would participate in epic levels of shenanigans. (Nothing villainous, just very mischievous.) Plus, I would never have to diet again!

message 14: by Kathy (new)

Kathy I have a degree in history so of course I'd want to travel through time!

message 15: by Coco (new)

Coco Time traveling will be a great power, for I would be able to go those happy moments again and again. To see the people I love and are now gone...

message 16: by Komal (new)

Komal I wish I could vote for these three(and attain these powers as well) :
The ability to travel through time
The ability to read minds
A genius level IQ

message 17: by amal (new)

amal mukundan read minds... No doubt about it... U wont ever have to worry about what another person thinks of u, wat he/she likes/dislikes... What to say to comfort anyone... What to do in embarassing situations... What to buy someone for b'day... The list goes on and on...:)

message 18: by TheDenizen (last edited Feb 03, 2012 07:02AM) (new)

TheDenizen Having a genius level IQ is NOT A super power. Just sayin'.

Time travel is the obvious winner from that bunch.

message 19: by Peggy (last edited Feb 03, 2012 10:45AM) (new)

Peggy This wasn't a quick and obvious for me. I happen to personally know someone (well, her daughter) who was pretty clairvoyant, and it drove her to drink and madness; she was pretty unhappy with that gift and the unhappiness she was aware was imminent in her friends' lives. I opted for the genius mind, because it seems like that would be the least frustrating in that you could actually try to do something about changing the future, not just visiting it or knowing about it.

message 20: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Ward I want teleportation, but I'll take time traval in a pinch.

message 21: by Brynne (new)

Brynne I was deciding between morphing my appearance or being able to read minds.

message 22: by Grace (new)

Grace I chose to change my appearance. I'd love to pretend to be someone else, and be able to morph into a bird (fly!) I wanted to be able to read minds, but then I decided if I could hear everything someone thought about me, I'd go crazy. So... Morphing it is.

message 23: by Monica (new)

Monica Having a genius IQ would be awesome! It would help so much to be able to break down problems and fix them. Plus, I'd look at everything with a new perspective and see patterns and stuff. But, what if I become all obnoxious and snobby?? Eh. If I'm that smart, maybe I can avoid it. My second choice would be to morph my physical appearance.

message 24: by Brynne (new)

Brynne Grace, that is exactly what I thought about Reading Minds, I would go nuts if my BFF said something about me.

message 25: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life Grace wrote: "I chose to change my appearance. I'd love to pretend to be someone else, and be able to morph into a bird (fly!) I wanted to be able to read minds, but then I decided if I could hear everything som..."

Haha, my thoughts exactly. I'm somewhat paranoid as it in regards to thinking that people are talking about me behind my back. Even though I'm not famous for anything or not even all that noteworthy. But it would drive me up the wall to truly hear someone thinking about me in various terms that may not be all that appealing. And the other side of the coin is the fact that even if you had this power, you can't ever really admit to it. Cause people would think you are using it all the time and invading THEIR privacy even if they are thinking about YOU in the first place. So I definitely don't want mental powers like that.

message 26: by Brynne (new)

Brynne Same here.

ThatPersonWhoReadsStuff Mind reading would be the worst power ever. It would be hard to control and you would hear all sorts of things that could scar you for life and it would be hard to be friends with people.
