A very strong collection this month. Each and everyone I found to be engaging and well written. Well done.
I reallly like " et quid amabo nisi quod aenigma est?" I am not very good with my foreign language and I am so sorry. Could someone translate the title for me.Thank You ! Dawn Copley-Lindsey
This is a wonderful group of gifted poets all of whom are worthy based upon these selections. Kudos to the finalists, honorable mentions, the judges, host and the GR Newsletter/Poetry Group.
I really like " et quid amabo nisi quod aenigma est?" too. It figures. The poem with the least votes speaks volumes to me.
Dawn, "et quid amabo nisi quod aenigma est" means "and what shall I love if not the enigma." It's the title of a George Chirico self portrait from 1911. It's the 7th paiting down on this page: http://arttattler.com/archivelookinginto...
Hope that helps!

Thank you all - I am honored. The poem, an ekphrastic, was based on the de Chirico painting "Melancholy and Mystery of a Street."
