I know it's coming via email, but I'll probably get to it sooner if clicking a link on goodreads was an option. Well, maybe, maybe not.
I get hundreds of email messages a day (stupid junk mail!!!) so checking my email is almost always the last thing I do after I've tooled around and looked at all the other sites I visit on a daily basis. But that's just me. :)~

Thanks, Charlotte. I feel your support and I know how life goes. My thoughts go to your daughter and her family. I hope they'll be blessed in many ways through their difficulty. You didn't "pull out" on me. You "pulled through" for someone else.
Hi Karey,About halfway into this I realized not only do I not know enough people to stand a chance of winning a prize for inviting the most people, but I simply don't have the time to participate. I removed myself from the group, but I still received the emails, so I rejoined thinking I could unsub from the emails and then quit again, but alas, I am still getting the updates.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to quit in midstream, but I can't do this. I'm sure from all the other responses I've read that it will be a huge success though, even without me and the 50-60 people I could invite. I wish you the best and hope someday to have half as successful an event of my own.
I'm caught in the throes of trying to make Christmas special for my daughter and her family after their house burned to the ground last month and they lost everything they had, but the economy has me completely in a death lock, so . . . I guess you'd say I'm just too stressed to think about doing anything else right now. Please forgive me for pulling out on you, and have a terrific and successful event.
