Ronyell I voted for the Haunted School because I'm such a huge fan of R.L. Stine!

I knew when I put up the poll that To Kill a Mockingbird would win. It's a fabulous book and good discussions can come out of it. But I'd like for us to read books that aren't classics sometimes, too. Each time we choose a children's book I've already read it! I've read the runner up, too, so I'm out of luck this time. :)

Ronyell Oh yeah! I would love to read a book we haven't read yet also Kelly, just so we can talk about other banned books rather than the classics that are talked about already.

Brett Yeah, it's kind of like stacking the deck! -grin- I don't think the book can be read too many times.

jacky the ones I've already read always get the most votes! :(

Sarah July 11th marks the 50th anniversary of To Kill a Mockingbird, so I voted for it...plus, I've never read it. :-)

Analicia De Anda I've read the Chocolate War over...and over...and over again...and I'd love to read it again, so that was my vote!

Bunny I just finished reading Go Ask Alice this week. It was so bad, I was willing to vote for pretty much anything else...

Ruby Emam Hi, Roynell. Why don't you try my book
The Little Black Fish. This is in a different category from what is considered banned literature. Many books have been banned in different parts of the world because they have been addressing social and economic problems in our society. What makes The Little Black Fish so special is that it not only offers a solution to these problems but also goes beyond that and actually shows a path to achieve the goals of building a better future for everyone (which is rarely seen in many books even the realistic ones).

Ronyell I think I have heard of your book, The Little Black Fish before Ruby. It sounds really interesting!!

Hi Ruby,

Your book is on our list but there are far more than 10 so I choose them each month using a random number generator. It's been on the list a few times.
