This is a tough one, Stefan. You've picked several novels which had quite novel and original concepts and good wordcrafting. I could not split my vote three ways so had to settle for one- Brasyl blew my socks off!!!
Brasyl is excellent, but I nominated Blindsight and I'm sticking to it. I really hope that The Diamond Age Or, a Young Lady's Illustrated Primer or Ender's Game don't win. I didn't make it through the last Stephenson we read in this group and I may be the only person in America that doesn't like Ender's Game, which I have already discussed in a couple of other groups.
You are not the only person who didn't like "Ender's Game" Sandi. I read it many years ago and didn't take to it at all. I'm especially disappointed that it is representative of 1970's sci-fi, most of which I really love as I cut my reading-teeth on it. But Card never appealed to me.
--only "Ender's..." is a 1985 book, so I guess my fears of it being representative of 70's fiction are moot.

I liked Ender's Game, but I don't feel the need to read it again. If it wins, I will probably skip it. Ditto the Neal Stephenson, he's just not to my taste...was he responsible for that atrocity, Anthem we read a couple months ago???
Although I nominated The Dreaming Void, which has been on my TBR for a long time, I'd be perfectly happy with Blindsight, it's an awesome book and would make a really good discussion.
Wow, atrocity is quite a strong word to apply to a book that many people enjoyed. The title was Anathem, by the way, not Anthem.Anyway, we didn't read Anathem in this group. Quicksilver by Stephenson was BotM here a while back.
Ah, Stefan, so many folks trash the books I love and I try not to get upset about it. We all have different tastes, after all. I'm sorry - no real offense intended, I was striving for humour. No, I didn't like Anathem, even though I know many in the group did. Just seems like sometimes we read the same authors over and over again (Stephenson and Stross particularly) and if it's an author you don't care for, it's hard to get excited about the book or the discussion. Let's try some new authors!!! (Yeah, guilty as charged, I did nominate another Peter Hamilton, BUT we haven't read him this year...)

Ah, but according to Wikipedia it has a 1977 short as the basis. You're not far off ;)
