Carrie This one is too easy. In college it was The Grapes of Wrath. I'm sure my roommate quickly grew tired of my complaining about The Dust Bowl!
In high school, it was Jonathan Livingston Seagull. So boring...

H. Rose "Silas Marner" was really a disturbing book for me.

message 419: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Lord of the Flies is arguably my favorite book of all time, and the only novel with passages I could recite word-for-word.

The only books I absolutely hated were A Tale of Two Cities (really anything by Dickens) and The Odyssey.

I couldnt get through a tale of two cities. That book nearly was the death of my love for classics. You can't beat a Christmas carol though. Love that story!

message 422: by District2tribute (new)

ϮAʛʛⅇℛʊℵʛ {Supernatural Freak} District2tribute wrote: "Taggerung did you know that wicked was based on a book"

No! Huh, I'll have to see if I can find it. I've yet to see Wicked, so it'd be interesting to read the book first.

Erin Sprite Downberry by Nette Hilton. If there was ever a book not to read, it would be this one.
It was fairly torturous when I read it in year 7. I managed to not finish it and also write a failed essay on it as well.
