I actually love all of these authors, but I would have to choose Lisa Kleypas as my all time favorite historical romance author. Her heroes range from noblemen to cops to gaming hell owners...and they're all interesting and fun to read about anytime.
I picked Lisa Kleypas, but in all honesty she's the only one of the author listed that I've read so far. I have all the others on my TBR.

OMG! You need to read Eloisa James! She is amazing!
I definitely plan to Joy. I have some of her books here on my pile. I just need to find the time.:-)
I've enjoyed reading all of these authors, but I have to pick Julia Quinn. I've loved every book of hers that I've read!

My favorite...Roseanne Bittner and Catherine Anderson
This one is difficult because they all have such different voices. In some ways it's like comparing apples and oranges. I have many books by each author and my 'favorite' changes as I get older and new writers come along. But for right now, only because I love her wallflower series, Lisa Kleypas. If I could make a second choice it would be Julia Quinn. Then Sabrina Jeffries and Eloisa James.
That Poll isn't really fair! LOL I've read the first three and love them all. I haven't read any of Lisa Kleypas's books yet...
Impossible! They all have great books out and they each definitely have their own style that I loved equally for different reason.

LOL I love all of these authors too! Eloisa James is my first love though...
