Which book will win the 2009 Man Booker Prize?
Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel - historical book centering on Thomas Cromwell, as Henry VIII tries to divorce Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn.
Summertime by J.M. Coetzee - Coetzee's the first author to win the Booker twice and he's won the Nobel. This book complete his trilogy of the young English author who is writing the biography of the late author John Coetzee.
The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters - Waters has been previously shortlisted for both the Orange and Booker - this is a novel of psychological suspense, some might call it a "ghost story."
The Children's Book by A.S. Byatt - Byatt won for Possession. This book, spans a quarter of a century and focuses on how the tensions that led up to WWI affected a generation and their children.
The Glass Room by Simon Mawer - this is a historical novel set in 1930s Czechoslovakia and centers around a house with a unique glass room.
The Quickening Maze by Adam Foulds - a poetic account of the madness of the Northamptonshire poet, John Clare, this book also include Alfred, Lord Tennyson as he lived near the asylum in which Clare was confined.
