What would you consider your level in Japanese?
Illiterate--I don't know any Japanese
Baby-- I know just a handful words, like konnichi wa, sayonara, and domo arigatou.
Basic Beginner--I can hold a little conversation depending on the topic
Beginner--I know many words and phrases and can make basic sentences...I can write my name in Japanese...I know a few characters...
Basic Intermediate--I know words, phrases, and the scripts...working on kanji. I am working on reading furigana, or lit. in hiragana and katakana.
Intermediate--I can read some japanese and have conversations on a lot of topics...I may be able to pass the lowest level JLPT...maybe :)
Average--I can get by with my Japanese
Advance--I am very good at speaking, reading, and writing Japanese with just few flaws every now and then...
Amazing--I am pretty literate when it comes to Japanese...I make very few mistakes. I can speak and understand Japanese very, very well.
Pro--I am a native Japanese speaker
