What ending date would you like to use for the Contemporary Classic category?

This month there will also be an additional poll to determine what publication date ranges the group would like to use for the Contemporary Classics category. The results of this poll will set the parameters for the Contemporary Classics Section, going forward. The Contemporary Classics category is currently defined as any book published from 1900 to roughly 1980-ish (fuzzy end line). The Old School Classics category will remain as is (prior to 1900).

-------

Just a clarification. There are four group reads, but only two categories - Old School Classics, and Contemporary Classics. Each of these two categories has a dedicated group read section.

The additional two group reads - Revisiting the Shelf, and Long Read Classics - can draw from either the Old School or the Contemporary categories. In the case of one, there is the add'l qualification that the book have already have been a group read in the past. In the case of the other, there is the add'l qualification of the book being long/dense enough to lend itself to being read over the course of three months.
