My finished beauties! I was first introduced to mozzarella at an Italian Deli in New Jersey. The one pound cheeses came in a nice plump ball. But the two pound cheeses were braided. Just beautiful. And so much fun to pull them apart and eat the strings of fresh creamy cheese. I've never seen it braided anywhere since. So I decided to try it. I'm not sure what they did with the ends, and I didn't master that too elegantly on the first try, but I think it has some promise.
