Oh cute! I love that you took a picture outside. The Graveyard Book was amazing. It's based on the Jungle Book and I had a blast comparing the two.

The Loopy Librarian Thank you! I look forward to reading it.

Alexia "The Almost Moon" was pretty horrible. I'm not going to lie. It was on my "TBR" lis for 2.5 years. I finally read it over Christmas and I was pretty disappointed.

The Loopy Librarian Thanks for letting me know. That's too bad. I loved Sebold's other books which is why this has been on my list for awhile.

How bad was it? I really enjoyed The Lovely Bones....

Jennifer K I do not even have a clue as to how many books I own that I have not read yet, they are hiding in a bedroom cabinet type piece of furniture that has become my "second" bookcase. The other one, 7 ft. tall, is double packed with more on top. I need my own reading room!

Alexia There was absolutely no story line. All the main character did was complain about how much nuissance was caused when SHE killed her mother (not a spoiler - it happened in the first 10 pages) and how the main character is going to suffer. Who in the world kills their mother and then expects peope to PITY her? She is so self-absorbed and unrelatable. I have no issue reading a book when the character is mean or self-absorbed, but she brings it to a new level.

I very rarely give books less than 2 stars. I had to make an exception for this book.

Jennifer K Well, that bites. I like Alice Sebold. So, I guess I'll take that one off my list.
