"When adding a series, please only add the first title."
I'm removing titles that are not the first book in a series (e.g. Eclipse, New Moon, Breaking Dawn, The Fury, Dark Reunion, Betrayed, etc.)
These are all grate. I've read most of them. Is anyone else as excited as I am for the new Vampire Diaries? xD

You should read Morganville vampire series. The first one is Glass Houses.
I love Twilight and glad to see it at the top, but I was a little disappointed that none of the Morganville Vampire books weren't on there!

I have to agree too they are amazing, but you have to add the Morganville Vampires to the list to make it complete!

The Sookie Stackhouse books are really good. I loved them. Did you also know that the show True Blood on HBO is based on those books? I love reading the books and then seeing it on tv everyweek.

There is a new one and I hate to disappoint but it is not the last. But it is definately great!
I lie, my friend. In case you haven't read it, Mia T. is the main character in The Princess Diaries. It was meant to be a joke...
sorry i am learning how to understand sarcasm. maybe because mia talk about buffy the vampire slayer more then once?
Yeah, lol. But then Teen Idolby the same author would have to be on this list as well- the characters practically measure conversation ability by how much Buffy you have seen and can talk about.
I'm guessing Meg Cabot likes Buffy...
i havent read much of vampire stories...
but i read twiight saga... and it's really great!
i'm into blue bloods now...
vampires don't suck!
they rock!!!
OMG MARKED BY THE CASTS IS AMAZING!!!! i finished it, but i wanted it to never end! thank goodnesss there is a sequel!!!
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS got my attentions right away. there's a flash of romance and alot of actions. the plot twists are not something you'd expect. i've recomend anyone to read it but PLEASE grab CITY OF BONES first no need to spoil the whole series by jumping into book 2 ^_^
Ever since i have read other vampire books(aka: Vampire Kisses , Marked , Evernight)
I have realized that Stephanie Meyer REALLY can't write at all but i guess her stories are ok
Camryn wrote: "OMG MARKED BY THE CASTS IS AMAZING!!!! i finished it, but i wanted it to never end! thank goodnesss there is a sequel!!!"I LOVE THAT SERIES

I don't like her books. Her writing is not good and it takes forever to get the story to keep going.

OMG I know!
I totally read all 5 and I'm so buying the 6th when it comes out. You have to read more of them. YOu'll love them. I did! And I got my best friend hooked as well. C=

I just started chapter 7 so I am not too far in but I am already hooked!
Wow. Everyone commenting on here sounds like a rabid fangirl....how pathetic. I am all for vampire fiction - a few of them are my favorite books all around - but holy cripes; calm the fuck down. Main word I used is "fiction," because no matter how much you squeal over a male vampire character, it will not make him real and you will just look like more of a fan-tard. :\ Get over it girlies. You are all slapping the bad-brand tag on the YA vampire genre by taking it to the extreme. No wonder people are hating on Twilight an such, with the fanbase ruining the entire bloody genre. It's a shame, really. Hype up your maturity levels a little, yeah? Yeah.

I know, that is why I wasn't going to read the Twilight series, but then my cousin forced me to, and it really wasn't that great. I enjoy some of the vampire books, but now so many are being pumped out that they just aren't that original anymore.
Lauren wrote: "Illusion wrote: "Wow. Everyone commenting on here sounds like a rabid fangirl....how pathetic. That's what happens when something gets popular: the human race almost immediately ruins it for everyone.

Ugh! I've typed, deleted, and re-typed comment after comment to reply this message but only this sums it up: Fans, especially Twilight fans, are fricking annoyed with you wet towls, and I know on thing's for sure: None of you're criticizing comments and complaints will ever change anything. I don't even know why you bother.
Kale wrote: "Illusion wrote: "Lauren wrote: "Illusion wrote: "Wow. Everyone commenting on here sounds like a rabid fangirl....how pathetic. I am all for vampire fiction - a few of them are my favorite books all..."Oh-ho. "Wet towel." I feel so insulted.
I write my opinion in a very sane way - you only become angry over it because it is concerning the verbal bantering that have been going on between Twi-tards and Twilight Haters. I myself like the Twilight Saga. I don't like it when people bash the book itself merely because it is so popular and they find it difficult to direct their angst at anything else. What I also dislike are over-obsessive fans who ruin the book in other, obvious ways....like making the said book popular to the point where people want to dislike it. I wish that I could change things, because if society starts holding such strong infatuations over simple things like a YA vampire series, then our future is a sad one indeed. The problem started long before vamp. fiction was popular, of course, but it is only worsening. I bother to write my opinions in the hope that people will look at what the hell they are doing and get back down to earth.

I wasn't trying to insult you I'm just expressing my opinion and you can express yours and so can anyone...that's what commenting is, isn't it? I don't really feel like having yet another arguement about this. But trust me, I'm not as "rabid" as some other fans out there...just for the record.
