Moloch Why do different editions of the same work appear more than one time? I count for example "The Crimson Petal and the White" (#8 & 22), "The Observations" (# 14 & 19), "Affinity" (#7 and 30).
It's strange because the various editions are all correctly combined together.

Marne Wilson Moloch, when someone adds a book to a list like this, they are adding that specific edition, not the work as a whole. I think this is because of the lists having to do with book covers or books in a specific language. So a list can have more than one edition of a work if people accidentally add it twice. But this is an easy problem for Goodreads librarians to fix. Just click on the "edit" link next to the list title. You'll find a link there called "check for duplicates." I just cleaned up this list for us, so it's not a problem here anymore!

Moloch Thank you!

message 4: by Helle (new)

Helle Why is Gone with the Wind on this list? It may be set in the right time period, but it is not set in any of the lands or dominions of queen Victoria. That must surely be a defining trait of neo-Victorian literature.
