I've read 1 and 1/2 of the books on this list (and the Number-1-so-far is one book I couldn't bear to read more than halfway through). Looks like I'll be adding even *more* to my "To Read" list!
Neither have I....I've been so busy with reading for work and school that I am still catching up on the things I've meant to read the past few years. I'm quite a good deal behind....
I cannot vote fairly until I've read a good number of these, but I really enjoyed the Twilight series.
none of the books I've read were on the list. Thanks for being my friend at goodreads.
Have a nice day.

Eeek! I haven't read any of these, either. (Blush) Lists like these just remind me of how I *really* don't get enough reading in these days. :..(
Hey, I've read some of these, which I find is an oddity, usually these lists contain nothing I have read!

Most of these books just arrived in the country where I live and applies like 40% tax to imported books. I'd like to save first <g>Although I'd really like Jhumpa Lahiri's book to be the best.
Adam:Thanks. But you've listed none of the books I've read.

had to vote for the only book that I've read on the list...to say any different would not be fair. Breaking Dawn, I have not finished yet.
Also for you poetry lovers out there, you can pick up my book, Organic Hotels @ lulu.com or any major book store website.
-you people have to made a list in every language, I only read 4 of this books and aren´t the "best books 2008"
ciao
I have not read any of these - just started Katie Ford's book though. A few would definitely go on my To-Read list but I have a lot already. I second the thought that we should wait a few months. A lot of good books come out in the fall and that's where I do the bulk of my reading (also, winter when I;m inside more...
I have not read any of these books either. I'm usually busy writing my own. I guess I will have to try harder.
I would love to vote, but I haven't read any of these books on this list either folks! Wouldn't be right to vote for any if you haven't read them. Also, wouldn't be very fair to the other authors.
I would love to recommend a few, though, to add to this list :)
Such as: Courting Emma by Sharlene MacLaren, The Irishwoman's Tale by Patti Lacy, Sincerely, Mayla by Virginia Smith, The Other Daughter by Miralee Ferrell and anything written by Bonnie Leon, Gail Gaymer Martin or Roxanne Rustand, just to name a few.
And though most definitely not Christian oriented novels, Jordan Dane is an excellent new author who is also now a best-selling author. I reviewed her first book, No One Heard Her Scream.

I hadn't read any of these either, so I added Amanda Grange's Mr.Knightley's diary. That was probably my favorite read of 2008.Cindy K. Green
Author of Sweet, Sensual, and Inspirational Romance
My favorite book was the Last Lecture. I found it so touching, so inspiring. It is a book I will never forget.

Thanks for letting me vote- I have read many of the books but I really, really enjoyed Jennifer Storm's book and I am still passing it around to my adult friends (who may or may not have children dealing with alcoholism) and they love it too----it speaks volumes that Jennifer struggled for so long and now look at her recovery, her job (which can be sooo challenging!!! and rewarding!!!!) and her happiness in life. I wish everyone would read her book.
I'm embarrassed to admit I haven't read many of the books on this list! I am WAY behind. I'm working on catching up, though. Thanks for keeping me up to date on what to read.
