This was a copy and paste from a list of 100 books from a static list (http://www.hcpl.net/read/phobos-100-b...). It is interesting to see the current permutation from all of the votes over the past few months that was seeded from this original list.Given that this list is now at 165 books and no longer the original list ... you should add books to this list Adam. :)
I did not know if it was possible to delete books. It would be nice to remove books not on the phobos list, or to fork the list into the original phobos list and the current permutation of this list.
Librarians can remove books from Listopia lists.I can remove the ones that are not on the Phobos list for you.
I have applied to be a librarian and may add and curate some other published lists. I was going to add more, but stopped after this one got too big.

From my own experience, it's a lot easier starting and "keeping" a list when one is a librarian. You can clean up as you go.
If you decide to read everything on this list save Frankenstein for last. It is here because it is arguably the first science fiction novel. It is not on the list because it is a good read.

That's one heck of a purge list, Susanna. Speaking from experience, I don't even want to think about how long it took you to go through all that ...
That said, likewise removed for not being on th original list: The Fifth Head of Cerberus and Pandora's Star.
So do I. Besides, now it doesn't even seem to be possible for librarians to add books any longer (contrary to the "frozen list" description given below). I didn't try on this list, obviously, as this one is in itself based on a list with a fixed number of entries, but I did try on another (IMHO quite unnecessarily) frozen one, recently ... only to find my additions wiped out again every time I refreshed the page. (Whereas previously, it DID use to be possible for librarians to add books to frozen lists, just as the comment at the bottom suggests.) So what's the point?!
