That One Woman With A Birdcage

It was a beautiful photograph. So beautiful that multiple publishers have used it.

Moody, interesting, evocative, sure ... but enough is enough. Can't publishers be a little more creative?

This photo has been used on more covers than shown here, but they are not yet on GoodReads. One is a Chinese version of "Pride and Prejudice"... 0_o ...and one appears to be Czech.

The original photograph is by Lorraine Molina, and yes, it is lovely.

Thanks to http://causticcovercritic.blogspot.co... who spotted most of these covers in the first place.

Alessandra Welcome to a brand new book, The Painted Bridge: A Novel, by Wendy Wallace, this edition coming out roughly a month from now. The cover, of course, is beautiful, and the photo appears perfect for the subject matter.

Alessandra There's a new list, Different Book Same Cover, with a similar approach.

Saul Bottcher Holy smokes!

I collect examples of clone covers, but I've never seen a set quite like this. Some of the designers have put in the effort to change the background, but still, it's obviously the same photo.

If you want to see some more "clones", my collection is here:
