Best boy hates girl then loves her books

I think the list speaks for itself, also this is a YA fiction list. Pretend Hate is included as well.

user the numbers are repeated at least 4 times. not cool

The-Readaholic ummmmmmm...........i somehow doubt that bella hated edward.........

message 4: by Triv (new)

Triv S. The Goddess Test? When did he hate her?

message 5: by Yo (new)

Yo I don't think that "Geek Charming" should be on here....

message 6: by Kebu (new)

Kebu Gelana I don't believe that about thus truth

message 7: by Grace (new)

Grace i like how theres like every edition of pride and prejudice on here.

message 8: by Karina (new)

Karina Nic wrote: "Four didn't hate Tris....!"

That is true but he seemed like he hated her thus, on the list.

message 9: by Victoria (new)

Victoria I kind of disagree with Before I Fall. He (sorry, I forgot his name) never really hated Sam. He always liked her. He just didn't like the way she acted.

message 10: by Ana (new)

Ana The-Readaholic wrote: "ummmmmmm...........i somehow doubt that bella hated edward........."

It's BOY hates girl then loves her not the other way around:)

message 11: by Ana (new)

Ana Diaz Nic wrote: "Four didn't hate Tris....!"

But she thought so and the book is based in Tris´s point of view.

message 12: by Ana (new)

Ana Diaz The Host shouldn´t be here because, she does not fall in love with the one that hated her.... And he didn´t hate her, he hated the host.

message 13: by Tirza (new)

Tirza Horvath Why is the Hunger Games and Carching Fire up there? Neither Peeta or Gale hated Katniss at the beginning!

message 14: by Elena (new)

Elena Twilight? Graceling? Twilight was love at first sight, he just stayed away from her to protect her. He was never even mean to her. Graceling the main characters had ONE 'semi-bad' run in in the like 2nd chapter, then were friends the entire rest of the book >.>

Jay - The Unicorn Most of these books are not actually about the boy hating the girl. They are usually pretending, and it's not even hate, but dislike, maybe strong dislike -.-
Some of these are fine, but maybe someone should add a description and explain that pretend-hate can be included.

message 16: by Maria (new)

Maria Nic wrote: "Four didn't hate Tris....!"

That's what I said

Dimitri didn't hate Rose either

message 17: by Maureen (new)

Maureen Balathas It says that pretend hate is included so they might explain some of the above confusion ^^^^^^^^. Also I think if the guy treats her very shitty or doesn't have a good opinion of her, and that changes, then I think it counts as well, imho.

message 18: by Kainaz (new)

Kainaz Ana Sofia wrote: "The Host shouldn´t be here because, she does not fall in love with the one that hated her.... And he didn´t hate her, he hated the host."

If you're referring to Jared hating Wanda, then yeah, you're right, but remember that even Ian tried to kill her right in the beginning of the book.

message 19: by Kainaz (new)

Kainaz Peeta never hated Katniss. And neither did Gale. *confused*

message 20: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Nic wrote: "Four didn't hate Tris....!"

he didn't hate her, but he was extremely rude to her at the beginning of the book.

hahaha this comment made my day

message 22: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Green 1.divergent:four did not hate tris he just did that to act brave
2.host: he did not hate her he was just scary of her

message 24: by Drew (new)

Drew Cernava There isn't even any romance in The Knife of Never Letting Go—and I don't think Todd ever hated Viola. :\

message 25: by Tara (new)

Tara Did Augustus hate Hazel in Fault in our stars????

message 26: by Drew (new)

Drew Cernava Tara wrote: "Did Augustus hate Hazel in Fault in our stars????"

Nope. I think people are just adding books to this list randomly.

message 27: by Tara (new)

Tara Oh Ok!!

message 28: by Aleksandra (new)

Aleksandra there is no moderator to this list...? just wondering...

message 29: by Rudri (new)

Rudri Vyas And when exactly did Augustus Waters Hate Hazel Grace Lancaster??? No Where In The Book... He Is The One That Went To Her And Talked To Her!!! Fault In Our Stars Shouldn't be here!

message 30: by Chloe (new)

Chloe Green There are far too many books on here where the guys CLEARLY didn't hate the girls. It is honestly stupid that some books are on here. Some I can see, like they clearly hated the girl or they were forbidden to like her, which is close enough. But honestly - whoever is adding these books doesn't understand the concept of HATE.

message 31: by Rudri (new)

Rudri Vyas Chloe wrote: "There are far too many books on here where the guys CLEARLY didn't hate the girls. It is honestly stupid that some books are on here. Some I can see, like they clearly hated the girl or they were f..."

Totally agreed!

Abigail (Read. Sleep. Rave. Repeat.) I don't remember Alex hating Lena in Delirium.

message 33: by Diya (new)

Diya Saha The-Readaholic wrote: "ummmmmmm...........i somehow doubt that bella hated edward........."

UMN...Edward didnt really like her the first time round - so yea it was one of the best hate-love relationships :D

message 34: by Autumn♥♥☽ (new)

I am so glad you posted this as I don't recall any hate on his part. Sometimes I miss things.

Good point! I wondered about that.

Lol at the beginning!

message 38: by Rudri (new)

Rudri Vyas Drew wrote: "There isn't even any romance in The Knife of Never Letting Go—and I don't think Todd ever hated Viola. :\"

Todd hated Viola!! He defiantly did and yeah... no romance... At first. Especially when he couldn't hear her mind and she could hear his.

message 39: by Kelsea (new)

Kelsea The-Readaholic wrote: "ummmmmmm...........i somehow doubt that bella hated edward........."

i think they meant edward rejected bella because he didn't want to eat her. Though I don't consider that to be hate. some others might.

That book is from Bella's POV and Bella thought Edward hated her at first.

message 41: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra Abigail (Read. Sleep. Rave. Repeat.) wrote: "I don't remember Alex hating Lena in Delirium."

Nope, but I remember me hating Lena in Delirium.

message 42: by Geri (last edited Aug 11, 2015 07:40AM) (new)

Geri I understand why Divergent is here. We know later in the book that Four was acting indifferent because he wanted to protect her but from Tris' point of view he hated her because he was always rude and she could never understand what he was thinking. Similarly in the beginning of the Hunger Games Peeta sided with the careers and it seemed like he wanted to kill Katniss which can also be counted as "Pretend Hate".
The inclusion of "Delirium" and "The Fault in Our Stars" is a mystery to me though. I can't recall a single moment when Alex or Augustus was ever mean to Lena/Hazel.

message 43: by Sarmistha (new)

Sarmistha This list makes boys sound so silly. Sort of like pulling a girl's pigtails because he loves her.

Anyone can add books to this list.
