Since that time I've read some very good fantasy (and some poor) which ranks among my favorites of all time. The Song of Ice & Fire Series by George RR Martin is just outstanding. I was a little spoiled since this was my first fantasy experience, and Ender's Game was my second, but having read a great number of books in all genres, I have a real appreciation for George RR Martin. I notice a Game of Thrones is on this list; I give it my highest recommendation.
