Palle Dixon I'd say Clovermead: In the Shadow of the Bear should be added but barely anyone has read it ;-;
this list is pretty cool otherwise..
I'd also love to see The Giver be made into a movie, that would be awesome.

message 405: by Krud (new)

Krud Okay, at the risk of sounding like a moron, how do we track down the books we want to vote for, buried in this list? I don't want to accidentally add them again, because I'm sure they're in the list; I just can't find them.

message 406: by Stacy (new)

Stacy Renee Life of Pi, World War Z, Beautiful Creatures (The Caster Chronicles), The Host, and The Mortal Instruments are already being made into movies. (I only looked through page 1 so their might be more than that...) I've also heard rumors (through websites like 'imdb') that The Giver, Shiver, and The Uglies are also being made into movies.

ROSE HATHAWAY These are my reasons i love VA....
I love the series and I can reread the books heaps of times and not get bored, because it's so romanic, funny and lots of drama! Richelle Mead is an exellent author and I can't wait for the spin off series with Sydney and Adrain i think they will be an exellent match despite from Rose and him. I love Vampire Acadmey!!!!!!! Richelle mead is a very inspirational, talented and a creative writer. I love her books and if it wasn't for her, i would be confused on what type of books, i'm intested in. She has inspired me with writing and i now know what i want to do when i'm older. I think she has a great humour and knows how to have a laugh. I cannot wait for her next lot of books in the bloodlines series. In her books, she always knows how to give readers a smile and a laugh while they are reading the books! Good luck to Richelle Mead, not that she needs it! :D

I've just seen this comment after returning to this thread. Yes, some of my space dragon stories are avaiable online at Smashwords and Amazon. The first one is War of the Space Dragons. I can imagine it being a "short story" movie or a TV series where each episode tells a short story.

L'Poni Lea wrote: "Wow. I've averaged about a book a week since I was 10. Depending on the day I normally find them at Barnes and Noble, on the end caps or just from searching through the shelves. I've seen THOUSANDS of books being read by people that have nothing to do with the categories you listed. Calm down, I'm sorry you're not as successful as you like but I don't think it means everyone's against everything."

I decided to re-read my original comment after forgetting what I posted. I was really frustrated back then so my train of thoughts were mostly HATE THE WORLD, but I've grown since then. Lol, I'm staying calm, I've been calm for the longest :)

message 424: by Jessica (new)

Jessica The "Life of Pi" trailer has just been released. I hope the movie does the book justice. Did I mention the movie will be in 3D? Everything is 3D these days... :)

I don't know Life of Pi,is it good? and yeah 3D,it's kinda cool having motion pictures come right at you when wearing 3D glasses. I think it's so imgintive and creative for movies.

message 428: by Victoria (new)

Victoria There are a lot of books on this list that have been made into movies, movie or television series or are currently being produced.

message 429: by Leona (new)

Leona Bodie Shadow Cay

SHADOW CAY delivers exotic locations, richly detailed forensics, and an unflinching view of life and death, along with plenty of plot twists.

Jordan If you want to, you got to

message 438: by Sam (new)

Sam Eragon the movie was TERRIBLE! If it was done correctly, I think a lot more people would know of the Inheritance Cycle!

message 439: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Dark Waters (The Expedition, #1) by Jason Lewis

This man is an average guy, a window washer, who set out to travel around the Earth by human power. He pedaled, biked, kayaked, swam, rollerbladed and walked around the planet, setting four world records along the way. His legs were broken by a hit and run driver, he contracted malaria, septicemia, and altitude sickness, had trouble with pirates, nearly drowned, was held for espionage, attacked by a croc and endured myriad other challenges. If anything should be a movie, it's should be this book. Terrifying, inspiring and funny. I can't believe he lived to write this amazing story!

Sounds awesome!

Tammie Dark Waters (The Expedition, #1) by Jason Lewis

The book cover you received was not the correct one. Dark Waters by Jason Lewis is the right one.

It's actually very funny. People always tell me they can't remember laughing out loud in so many places.
Sorry for the wrong cover.

message 442: by Tammie (new)

Tammie THIS Dark Waters, by Jason Lewis, not the Dark Waters by Catherine MacPhail is the book I was speaking of.

message 443: by Tammie (new)

Tammie Dark Waters (The Expedition, #1) by Jason Lewis
Dark Waters

First man to circumnavigate the Earth using only human power. Catherine's book is a Junior Library Guild selection of the same title. Looks good! but Jason Lewis's Dark Waters does have content/language that may not be suitable for young children.

message 444: by Joshua (new)

message 445: by Nitzan (new)

Nitzan Schwarz Can somebody please explain to me how Midnight Sun got on this list? It's not technically a book because it was never published or finished, and it's Twilight from Edward's POV. WE ALREADY HAVE THAT MOVIE! What, you'll re-do Twilight and just add some scenes?...

message 446: by Jordan (new)

Jordan What about... Hmm, the wind singer series?

message 447: by Caleb (new)

Caleb Baker Another awesome book that should be made into a movie is Black by Ted Dekker. Its amazing!!

message 448: by Anne (new)

Anne L I'd really love to see The mortal instruments as movies. But then again, movies always ruin the best of books.

message 449: by Tammie (new)

Tammie I concur! They just can't do justice to a great book, no matter how good the movie is.

message 450: by ROSE HATHAWAY (new)

ROSE HATHAWAY Sometimes,but not always.
