This was an eh for me. I liked the idea: learning about a character through the stories told about him by others across a wide swath of experiences, but I ust didn't see why this individual had been singled out as worthy of so much attention, or what the author's aim was in diong so. There isn't a lesson to be learned, a philosophy to be gleaned, or even an apparent lack of either of those things within these pages. It's a tranche de vie of the uninteresting kind.
