Set in Civil War torn South Africa, Michael K is the story of a man, albeit a man confined to the dust heap of society, on a journey. Well as sad as this was, it was WONDERFUL in its ability to describe the situation Michael K found himself in ... I really really enjoyed it and learned alot about the war torn country and situation at that time.
I liked "Waiting for the Barbarians" much better than this book. It should have won the Booker Prize.
