*I read this book for an assignment in my YA Lit course in grad school.*

I can’t believe I read this. I can’t BELIEVE I read this. I had vowed to never, ever read The Fault in our Stars because I hate crying and being sad and cancer. And being the perfectionist, type-A student I am, I finally did. If the love of my life had asked me to read TFioS, I would have said no. But when my grade’s on the line I’ll pretty much do anything that isn’t illegal and/or against my moral code. Haha. So yay! Now I

So sad but so good. This was a sad book it was about young adults with cancer, all kinds of cancer that meet in a support group. The three main characters have three different forms of cancer with three different predicted outcomes. The two boys are friends and the female is in support groups with one of the boys. Started 2/1/14 and finished 2/2/14.

Hazel has a tumor. It is terminal, but a experimental drug has caused it to shrink some and then stop growing completely. It isn't a cure but it has bought her some years. Her mother wants her to be like all teenagers and has her join a Cancer Kid Support Group. She meets the beautiful Augustus Waters and her life completely changes.

This was a great book. Funny in parts, sad in others, but more than most "teenager" stories, this one seemed pretty realistic. I
