In this review I will be pointing out many bad things and many good things, because this book had an incredible amount of both. I'll start with the bad things.

The little demon b...more In this review I will be pointing out many bad things and many good things, because this book had an incredible amount of both. I'll start with the bad things.

Bad Stuff: First of all, his writing changed. I'm very used to his smooth, simple but not too simple writing, but in this book, he did this thing where he made it hard to understand because he complicated it so much. Not because I'm stupid, because everything was so rough. Another weird thing, was the action. The little demon battle sequences came up so much that they actually got annoying. I mean, the fights were the same thing over and over, yet he felt the urge to repeat them so many times. I'm glad he finished it up at this point, because I was getting bored with those repeated action scenes.

Half bad half good things: There's only one thing in this section. The Ending. The big, climatic thing that would finish off the series. A clever way to make some amazing event change the entire series and finish it up perfectly. But, I must say, I was kind of disappointed with the ending. I mean, it was totally unexpected, and usually I would say it was good, but it just wasn't what I had in mind. I didn't picture it ending like that, and most fans won't either, which will leave them unhappy. But, despite that, it was an O.K ending. It was pretty crazy! I mean, unlike the other series he didn't mix everything together perfectly, and tie up the loose ends to make it all make sense suddenly. Instead, he made the characters do something which the reader would never have imaged them doing. I enjoyed that part, but I still wished he would've made it one of those "everything-coming-together-perfectly-and-making-everything-make-sense" endings.

Good things: It was addicting. When there wasn't any useless, stupid fighting, it was interesting and intriguing. Every second, something happened that made you want to keep reading. There was a twist in the first chapter, then a few other crazy twists, and each time one of these happened, you wanted to keep on going, no matter what. It was so addicting, I never wanted it to end. I kept reading and reading and reading, yelling at people who interrupted me, never breaking concentration. I must admit, it had a pretty exciting plot line. At some points, I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails anxiously, filled with nerves, while at other times I was flipping the pages like crazy because it was so mysterious, and I wanted to know what would happen next.

Overall, I had to give it five stars, because for some reason (even though I could list more bad things than good things) it was a very good way to finish the series, and I did like the book quite a bit.

Goodbye, Demonata Series. I will never forget you.

P.S: Hey, Darren! You've written two series and they were my two favorite series of all-time. Write more, and fast! I just ordered the City Trilogy, but that will only last me a couple weeks because I'll read it so fast!!!!(less)
