A collection of short stories of day to day survival of Australian soldiers in Changi prison camps. Amongst the death, beatings, Starvation, endless work details, Aussie ingenuity shone through with "theatre" shows to keep up morale, They invented a machine to turn "hemp" into clothing and Aussie mateship, something the Japanese just couldn't understand.
