Wow. I enjoyed this book so much more than I expected to. I thought I wouldn't really get into it and that it wouldn't be my type of style, and I was very much proved wrong. Bram Stoker is definitely a wonderful descriptive writer--I think some of the descriptive passages of the book were among those that I most enjoyed. I could really visualize what was happening.

Very interesting to read the orginal conception of the vampire. Very enjoyable and very different from our beloved Edward.

"A lunatic asylum and an insect-eating madman in England, a macabre castle surrounded by howling wolves in Transylvania, an Un-Dead aristocratic vampire whose canine teeth hang over his lower lip, and who seeks refuge between sunrise and sunset in a coffin filled with graveyard dirt, life threatening yet strangely attractive sisters, a murderous sleepwalker and her blood drained child victims, a phantom ship manned by corpses, an invasion of thousands of rats...."

I really enjoyed reading Dracula. Not at all boring or even gory, just suspenseful, creepy, and mysterious. The language was different enough to be fun to listen to without being difficult to understand. The story was really fascinating and many of the characters endearing. Persistence and goodness can eventually overcome evil.
