I started reading this at 11 AM. It's currently 3 AM. I've just finished reading this.
A voice inside of my head keeps on crying: HUMANITY!
sometimes I feel proud of being a Homo sapien, and a lot of other times I almost feel ashamed. why do we have to be so complicated? So utterly miserable and quite happy simultaneously? We humans don't possess the quality of humanity. We tend to kill everything we do not understand and claim it to be merciful. What I saw in this book was not George Milton and Lennie Small. What I saw in this book was not a a small dark man and a huge strong man. Instead, what I saw was a helpless mother and an innocent child oblivious to the cruel world around him, oblivious even to his own strength. Merciful gifts of humans are cruel. This is a very difficult review to write. I don't know how to tell you how conflicted I am about it.

On one hand, it is a very real, very emotional story of two men who try and find thier place in a very much uncertain word.
On the other, it was brutal and honestly kind of messed up.
