This is a book I wrote after retiring from more than thirty years as a social worker. So much of my life in that profession is included in this tale of what happens when four teenage girls decide to spice up their lives during one hot summer in the Central Valley of California. The consequences are experienced for a long time and ripple through all their lives, as well as the lives of their friends, family and innocent bystanders.
